The cookies were alright, nothing special. The pastries/cakes are definitely better.

Cute cafe with your basic cafe drink options and limited list of flavors. What they lack in creative drink options, they definitely make up for in bakery items. Even something as simple as their molasses cookie brought me back to my younger days in England, eating ginger bread men.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.As a lover of bakeries, Hoffman's stands out as my favorite. So much so that their princess Torte has become our family tradition for birthdays. They've become a part of my family and were treated as such when we come to pick up a cake (usually because I've forgotten until the final hour). The fact the I can roll in, grab a coffe and a cake with my kids name on it, then roll out one pastry richer? Priceless.

I wanted to try a local place that had unique, whole cake options for a birthday and decided on the Princess Torte after reading reviews. For the price it was quite disappointing and overrated. Although the outer marzipan had good almond flavor, it was too overwhelming and sweet. The sponge cake was ok, but there's the most bare strip of raspberry jam that's really just an annoying tease leaving you wanting more. The cream layers really don't add much flavor either. Perhaps some of their other cakes may be better. If this was their most popular signature, I probably would've been happier going to Whole Foods bakery.

Cute little shop. Ordered quite a few breakfast croissant sandwiches. We waited about 15-20 mins for our order, while looking at everyone around us eat their simple orders. The pastry display looked amazing! Overall the croissants were okay. Not enough meat, I also didn't expect an egg on our sandwiches because the menu didn't say it had eggs. Each sandwich had two poached eggs, it was a little over cooked and dry. I was hoping for a runny egg. No condiments on it. But they did add diced tomatoes and onions if you preferred. But I honestly prefer my veggies to be more full, if that makes sense? Overall the sandwiches were just okay. I got a Dino cookie and it was quite hard and not the best either.

My husband got a beautiful cake from Hoffman for my birthday (the princess torte.) Everyone asked where it was from (including the staff at the restaurant we shared with.)

Prompt and polite service. Quiet and relaxing spot for an early Friday afternoon. My drink was smooth and served at a good temp-not too hot and not lukewarm. Hot Cross Bun was decent, nice little snack with a bite similar to a bagel. FYI, self-bus.

Specifically visited Hoffman's to try a slice of their Princess Torte cake. The staff was friendly and service was fast. The slice seemed a bit pricey for $7.25, but it was a tasty piece of cake! It holds up well a day after you take it home and put it in the fridge. Princess Torte Slice: The sponge cake was super soft and moist. I loved the cream--very light. The raspberry jam was nicely tart. Overall, a very yummy bite and good dessert option.

I have to update my review for one thing and ONE THING ONLY. Hoffman's most popular cake is the princess torte and it's for a GOOD REASON. Their princess torte is my absolute favorite cake. So if you take anything away from this place, please let it be a princess torte.

I think I tried enough items from Hoffman to give a well rounded review. The place is really good but there's better coffee and pastry places in this area. Coffee was good but I haven't found better coffee than soul coffee house in Redmond area. The coconut Macron was bit too sweet IMO. Other items were okay. Service is good - good folks and nice ambience.
