I visited this restaurant around 11 PM on a weeknight, it was one of the few options open. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but the meal was not very good. We ordered a honey walnut shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls. The honey walnut shrimp and egg rolls we're not very good, but the shrimp fried rice was good.

Landed in Seattle late at night around 1am and we wanted some Chinese food. Thanks to the original place we planned to eat at were closing and didn't seat us, we were able to find Ho Ho across the street! SO MUCH ON THEIR MENU, my hungry eyes wanted everything but we each picked out a few entrees, in total 6 and that was just enough for the 4 of us. I got the abalone & chicken congee and wow! So fragrant and so good!! A lot of chicken and abalone!! We ordered a few things like I mention but I personally love their chow fun and clams w/ oyster sauce! mmmm! Overall, everything we ordered was good. I was able to eat it and not get a stomach upset. For sure coming back when I come back to Seattle again! I love how late they're open also! Service was good (very important for business image!) ! And they don't skimp out on anything on menu, plenty to have for yourself and sharing!Nice place, I'd come back again.

We decided to try here again on Christmas Day, since it seemed there might be new ownership so better service. At the last minute my husband didn't feel well, so we got takeout. All the food was mediocre. Prawns with black bean sauce, couldn't taste the black beans, prawns cooked perfectly. Tofu with greens and BBQ pork, OK except pork was really tough. Prawns with snow peas, OK, but with a lot of celery. Grandmother's tofu had a very odd taste, didn't like it. Husband liked his chicken congee, because he was sick. I would like more ginger in it. This had chunks, but not much flavor. It was a lot of food, with more vegetables than I expected, so we ate it over 2 days, but didn't really enjoy it.

Messed up our order and refused to make it right in any way. The hot and sour soup was below average for the area. The prices were high overall. Really no reason for us to come back.

Rating: 2.0/5.0I really wanted to like Ho Ho Seafood Restaurant, but my second time here marred my initial (quite positive) impression of it. For transparency's sake, however, I will share my initial thoughts as well.Late-August 2020, takeoutHere is what I ate:1. 火腩班球煲 Roast Pork and Cod Fillet Tofu Stone Hot Pot2. 北京片皮鸭 Peking DuckReview:This meal is a 4.0/5.0. Although the stone hot pot was delicious overall, I found the addition of roast pork unnecessary; it added nothing of value to the dish. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the Peking duck and the ten fluffy buns it came with. I look forward to trying the other menu items next (whenever that may be).Late-March 2021, dine-inHere is what I ate:1. 雀巢带子虾球 Prawns and Scallops in Crispy Bird's Nest ($16.95)2. 厦门炒米 Fried Vermicelli with Shrimp and BBQ Pork ($11.95)3. 北京片皮鸭 Peking Duck ($29.95)Review:This meal is a 2.0/5.0. The prawns and scallops in crispy bird's nest and fried vermicelli with shrimp and BBQ pork are the epitomes of "you get what you pay for". The dishes are cheaper compared to that of similar restaurants in the Seattle area, but the quality and quantity of said dishes are also comparatively worse - by a significant margin. A couple of tiny shrimps and scallops for $16.95? A complete ripoff. And the fried vermicelli was sickly-sweet. If the above were not bad enough, being charged $2.95 for tea during dinnertime left a sour taste in my mouth; this tea fee is unusual in both New York and Seattle. In short, I will not be back at Ho Ho Seafood Restaurant and will support other businesses instead.

On street parking. Free street parking on Sundays brought to you by the city. Paid parking across the street. I did take out. Not bad. Orange chicken was decent. Chicken fried rice lacks flavor but nothing a little hot sauce cant fix. Both for $35; kinda steep but good for the area.Kid-friendliness: There's nothing violent or sexual about this place.Parking: Paid Street parking unless you come on Sunday's or after hours. Last I checked after hours street parking started at 8pm. Might have changed to 10.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

We came here after a night of drinking and we were so glad we did. I've stayed away from China Town recently due to all the crime, but we Ubered it straight to the door. The service was fast, the food was hot and delicious, and the place was clean. The flavor of all our dishes were great! You can taste that they cook their dishes on well seasoned woks. I recommend their shrimp fried rice, chicken chow mein, honey walnut prawns, and mongolian beef.

TLDR: Terrible customer service. Would not honor a promotion posted on their Instagram page a few hours prior, and insulted a customer in Cantonese. Customer is fluent in English/Cantonese and called them out. **BEWARE; if you only speak English, they may be insulting you in Cantonese** Ho Ho Seafood Restaurant posted a set dinner special for Lunar New a Year 2023 on their Instagram page. IHeartID reposted their story. I thought it was a good deal and called to inquire about the dinner. Initially, I called in speaking English. (Important for later) I explained to them that I saw a deal for a Lunar New Year set dinner on their Instagram page, and wanted to know how long it was valid for, and if I could order it tonight. (Lunar New Year's Eve) She said they were not doing that special. That was an old promotion, and any set dinner was at least $120. Although the special was posted on their Instagram page a few hours ago, I said "Okay, no problem. Thank you." No harm, no foul. After I said bye, the worker had forgotten to disconnect the phone. She spoke in Cantonese to a male coworker. She said "This guy is dumb. I don't know where he came from (implying I was from the countryside/hillbilly/uneducated) but he thinks a set dinner can be purchased for under $100." The male coworker agreed and called me dumb in Cantonese as well. As a native Cantonese speaker, I completely understood their statements. After she had finally hung up, I called back. I spoke to the same lady and I told her in Cantonese "I'm not dumb. I speak Cantonese. You should not be getting mad at me, you should get mad at whoever is doing your Instagram page and your social media. You should also make sure you have properly disconnected the call before you start insulting customers." She replied "oh sorry sorry, you're not dumb" and hung up. I have DM'd Ho Ho's and IHeartID's (who reposted the deal) Instagram page to inform them that the deal was not honored. Additionally, I told them about the insults from staff I received. I have been a regular patron of Ho Ho since childhood. Based on this experience alone, I will not return to Ho Ho. They have lost a lifelong customer, along with my entire family's business.
