Hikari Sushi, Riverdale H-Mart.I had recently reviewed Hikari at the Buford H-Mart as to not confuse.Overall, the quality here is just so-so in reference to only the sushi menu. The miso is so-so, the sushi is so-so, the sushi menu selection is much smaller than the Buford one. That particular note surprises me a tad, but I suppose it's with good reason. The pre-made sushi suffers from being too cold to almost frozen. I guess you can say it's palatable still? I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say their made to order rolls are better, but if they're like the other Hikari they might try to convince you into buying what they have in the display--- that's with a stark assumption for this location, it had happened at the other. If I come here again I'll be sure to try something off their hot menu and update, but as far as selection, quality, and pre-made choices for the sushi bar go, I'm not much for it.

This is a grocery store. Not a sushi restaurant. Don't waste your time. And it's dirty and gross. I went in expecting a sushi bar and left wondering why the health department leaves the place open. Makes the local soul food cafe look 5-star.

Awful service ... He told me 5 min then served fried dumplings to a customer who ordered 5 min after I did. I had to get up from my table to ask him about my order. You can tell it was ready and sitting in the back the whole time I was waiting. If I didn't ask he may not haven served them to me. Good Hired help is hard to find.

i usually order this when i'm working and have it to go. the service is actually pretty fast. it doesn't take long. i usually get the 7.99 special that comes with 4 California rolls, salad, miso soup, teriyaki beef, rice, wonton, eggroll, and a free drink(can of soda). i think that's a pretty damn good deal compared to other japanese restaurants i've been to. it tastes pretty good and gets me full.

Went for sushi, but they were closed so we had dumplings from the stand next to them. They weren't awesome or bad. Just OK.

After our shopping trip at the H Mart [the wonderful Asian grocery store in Riverdale] my wife and I decided to try out the small food court area attached to the side of the store. We saw the Sushi bar Hikari and figured what better place to have some sushi and some Japanese food. I ordered a spicy tuna roll [my bench mark in judging sushi] and an order of shrimp yakitori. The Yakitori was a large serving that came with a cup of Miso soup, both were average in flavor. The Yakitori was a bit overwhelming on the "Asian five spice" but non-the-less it wasn't bad. I do have to admit that the spicy tuna roll was fresh bit a bit lacking in the spicy department. For a quick meal that is convenient after shopping for all your Asian staples, it is alright, but nothing more than that. I would definitely go one both over to the Bamboo Panda and order the fried rice...wow! Please see my other review.

i ordered the special, for $8, it had sushi, salad, soup and teriyaki and a can of soda. it was delicious, not the best sushi, but decent. The best part was the nice lady, she even brought me some takuwan. it has a little bit of everything at a great price.
