High Brow Coffee

Love this spot. Fresh, clean, bright, airy. Their staff is so kind. I ordered a strawberry shortcake matcha (current summer fave) and it was wonderful. My husband (who is a former barista) loves that they carry Kalita filters and other helpful coffee supplies. I also want to shout out their pastry and cookie selection - how adorable are the branded High Brow sugar cookies? The donuts are also locally made and so yummy.

Coffee was excellent, but service was terrible. I walked in and stood in what I thought was the line, while making eye contact with all three employees. I then noticed nobody ordering or getting their drinks so I stepped to other side, noticing the register was blocked to my view. When i went to restroom and came out I ask employee if the drink on the counter was mine, she rudely said i dont know. I then looked as other employee, who took my order, to say "I think." Mind you no one else was ordering drinks and or in line. Will not be giving my business here.

Stopped by on a Saturday morning before the eventual rush that overwhelmed their inside space. Folks were patient and understanding. That meant I had to sit outside in the rather cool weather, but at least the view was nice. The breakfast panini with egg and cheese was filling and just what I needed. Crispy sourdough exterior was wonderful! The bourbon caramel latte with oat milk was subtle but a bit on the warmer rather than the hot side. Not too sugary either. Nicely done.

Stood there waiting while the employees milled around doing anything but their job. After five minutes I walked out, pretty sure the person behind me did the same. That's the last time I bother even trying with this place.

Coffees were lukewarm, not piping hot b/c I guess they are premade and kept in a thermos dispenser. Portions were small for both coffee and sandwiches. But the sandwiches were tasty.The hot sauce selection was great!Good place for a quick bite.

Not too far from Arrington in Westhaven, is the High Brow Coffee shop which is clearly a favorite of the locals.Here I ate bar none the BEST breakfast sandwich this old guy has ever had. It was sausage, cheese & egg on a buttermilk biscuit which had to be hand made in heaven, probably by my Grandma.So wonderfully heavy, this moist and dense biscuit of culinary yumminess (yes, that's a word?) with egg and sausage peacefully sleeping inside awaiting your first bite. Paired with a house coffee, this breakfast sandwich filled the void of hunger decisively. So good I wanted another, so filling I simply couldn't eat one more. So, will we be back? A resounding YES!!

I ordered an avocado toast and mint tea. Total around $13. The toast was smaller than I expected and burnt on the bottom. Ouch. That made it chewy and tough to eat. I was told by the maker it was sourdough bread which is naturally chewy. The mint green tea was very good for $4.25. I like the drinks but might pass on the food with the exception of the pastries. Employees are always helpful and polite. :)

I ordered a black tea (iced). They didn't seem to want to serve it to me; instead, the staff was busy playing around. After 5 or so minutes, I asked if I could get my tea. The manager said sure we'll get it right out. Then he went back to playing around with another employee. I gave up and walked out and will never return. The tea is already made as I asked before ordering, so all they had to do was pour it. They poured coffee for a guy that ordered after me, not sure what the problem was here.

Love the coffee variety they offer. Each roast is unique. I gravitate towards medium roast and the acacia blend hits the spot. I tasted their coffee while visiting and loved the fresh taste and could taste the roast how it was described on the packaging. I now purchase from out of state and they send the order almost immediately and the same quality and freshness. I have since branched out to other flavors and have not been disappointed.

One of the best coffee spots in Franklin. A must-visit and stay. Fabulous coffee, friendly service, and great ambiance on Westhaven's front street.
