Excellent discreet eatery and beer bar right across from the Santa Fe Train Depot in Downtown, San Diego. Their food selection can satisfy many different tastes! It was our second time eating here after getting off the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner from Irvine again. We're always hungry from the 1+ hour ride and Hidden Craft does not disappoint! My Salad Nicoise with Salmon was prepared with abundance of spring mix greens, capers, olives, hard boiled eggs and a nice 3-4 oz broiled salmon filet. My husband and fish and chips which was good but not a standout. But he chose it so our 3 grandchildren would eat and enjoy the french fries. My son-in-law had a nice size burger. I don't know which of the burgers he ordered but he ate everything! He enjoyed the variety of beer samples the most! It's good that we just had to take the train home! We also ordered the smoked macaroni and cheese which was definitely up several levels! All adults and children ate it up!!! I had dessert which was their blueberry bread pudding per recommendation. Unfortunately, they do not serve coffee but I went a few doors down to Starbucks for a cup of Joe. Upon returning to Hidden Craft, the bread pudding was not at our table yet and was assured by staff it was coming. We shared the bread pudding to clear our palates. I've had many bread puddings and can make my own so their version was okay...it lacked moisture and flavor; cinnamon would have been nice! However, the staff did not charge us for the bread pudding because of the delay in serving it. Above and beyond Customer courtesy and service to make this a 5+ rating!!!!! See you again, Hidden Craft!

I'm absolutely enthusiastic about Hidden Craft! This somewhat hidden gem, located in the One America Plaza building across from the train station, offers an incredible experience. The friendly staff, high-quality food, and amazing selection of drinks make it a standout spot. Plus reasonable prices . Hidden Craft provides a diverse array of beers, hard ciders, and kombuchas on tap. For those who aren't into drinking, they also offer a great selection of sodas and mock tails. The variety ensures there's something for everyone to enjoy. The name might give some a chuckle, but the hidden nature of this place adds to its charm. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out Hidden Craft for a delightful and unique experience. The ambiance of this place is chill . Good spot for post work or calm time with friends or family . Shout to Mac for always holding down the fort and helping to run the show. After a couple of visits you will begin to feel like family to the staff. I feel like not a lot of places here are like that . I enjoy the sense of community at Hidden Craft. I know there are so many places to choose from , but Make sure to give place a try. Enjoy!

Hidden Craft is a hidden GEM! Let me tell you their vibes, their food, their service all incredible. We were shook by how good their food is and continued eating until we were in pain (their fries are some of the best I've ever had!! Both types!).They also have such a cool beer system where you can try out all their beers and pay by the ounces you pour, it was almost like a self serve yogurt shop but for beer. So unique, so cool and definitely makes me want to go back.I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, half a star off only for the location bc it's directly next to the trolley station, but that shouldn't hold you back from trying it.

Hidden Craft was an absolute treat! We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, which really enhanced the experience. You order at the main counter and the food will be delivered to you. There is a simplicity to this dining style that is appreciated. The kitchen was speedy and accommodating without compromising on quality. I ordered the Salmon Niçoise salad and my boyfriend ordered the Brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. 10/10!

This is a very nice, modern, hip and trendy spot that I was lucky enough to stumble across. It is located behind the city's train hub and there is metered street parking within a reasonable walking distance. They have a modest inside dining area with a bunch of craft beer on self serve taps in the back of the dining area. The patio is enclosed, so that you don't have people walking by watching you eat. It is an awesome area and has some nice tables and chairs. There are also some propane heaters for those chilly days. You will also find a lounge area out there with some really comfortable chairs and a television. In addition to their extensive beer selection, they serve typical American pub fare including soups, salads, burgers, BLTs, bowls, flatbreads, tacos, steak, fish and chips and a small dessert selection. They do not have table service. You place your order at the counter and they will bring your food out to you. The staff there was very friendly, attentive and helpful. They really enhanced my experience there. I ordered the fish and chips. I sat out on the patio. My food was brought to me in about 10 minutes. It was fresh hot and delicious. The fish was well cooked, tender, and flavorful. The tartar sauce that came with it tasted homemade and was really good. It did have a little kick to it though. In addition to the fries, my meal also came with some delicious steamed green beans. Mmmmmmm. There was a ton of food. I was definitely full after I was done. I really enjoyed my lunch here. They have some very delicious food, first class service and staff, and a hip and smooth vibe. I highly recommend checking this place out.

This is a hidden gem in the trolley stop. They have a good tasting selection of beer and wine on tap. You can pour as little or as much as the glass holds and charged by the ounce. They source local beers and wines. They also serve food from salads to mussels to burgers. They have an outdoor area and inside games. Lots of fun!

What a fun find very close to the train depot! The smoked Mac and cheese with bacon was yummy! Tasted some beers via their unique serving method. Got a card and dispensed our own beers, ciders, and wine. A fun night experience.

It's true! The sweet potato fries are the bomb! There is also everything on the menu to please the pallet. Conveniently located across the street from the Santa Fe Depot train station. You can grab a great bite to eat before boarding.

Wonderful spot for lunch when in downtown. Menu has vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and omnivore options. This time it was the San Diego fish tacos - delicious! Friendly staff - order at the counter and then find a seat inside or on the patio.

I gotta say I'm really disappointed in this place. I used to love coming to eat here, but just got their gyro for $17 and it was like a half a gyro (granted with a whole lot of fries) with barely any meat and tons of lettuce. The salmon in the poke bowl was warm (it did sit there for about 10 minutes before the gyro came out) and had no sauce or anything on it -- again for $18 it was beyond disappointing. Bland and just not good. Very friendly service but that doesn't make up for the lackluster food.
