Cute little cocktail bar that had yummy appetizers! Loved how the Brussels sprouts were crispy and how they paired well with creamy blue cheese. Do wish there was some more coconut flavor in the long Thailand milk tea- felt like the Thai iced tea flavors could be a bit stronger as well.

Five star concept and ambition, four star prices, but three star execution. Everything was the sum of its parts and nothing more. The spirits and cordials selection IS impressive, especially if you have $20-40/oz to spend on vintage and rare spirits.Go here for a drink but look elsewhere for dinner.By the numbers:Food 2/5Drinks 3/5Service 4/5Ambiance 3/5Value 2/5Blackened rockfish - Ok. Fish was flavorless. Grits were chunky and cold. Best part was the pea shoots.Truffle fries - Excellent.Saffron martini - Ok. Really nothing remarkable. Saffron threads provide some color but weren't integrated into the rest of the drink. Unless you eat them (awkward due to strand size), you wouldn't know they're there.French 75 -Excellent.

Stopped by here for a drink and appetizer while waiting for a table over at Cornelly. And was pleasantly surprised. I got the something yarrowed something root, such a great gin cocktail. My friend got the long Thailand ice tea. If you like Thai ice tea you'll love it with a bit of a kick from the bourbon. The fried brussels topped with blue cheese was amazing.

Came back to Herb and Bitter to repeat a few things and try a few new things. The repeaters: Daquiri, Southern Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and Grilled Foccacia were all just as delicious as I remembered. The Elotes were delicious, I've never had Elotes on the cob before. The bbq prawn skewers were nothing special, especially not compared to the rest of the menu.

The atmosphere is very intimate and many groups of friends were there. Could be a good first date spot but it does get crowded and it may be hard to talk. The servers were efficient and handled our large party well. The food was plated well. In my opinion the food was average. The drinks had too much ice which took away from the experience of the drinks.

Trip #2 fared far better than the first time around. Not sure if it was the change in season or the items ordered but had a much better experience this past weekend when we dropped by to celebrate a friend's birthday. Had a few shared dishes that were all tasty- - Charcuterie & cheese board had a nice selection and solid accoutrements- truffle fries were fresh and tasty, aioli was fine- bread with oil & balsamic was warm, toasted and buttery- green salad was fine but underdressed- filet asada was pretty good - cooked a little more than requested (medium throughout instead of medium rare) but tender and well seasoned. Cream sauce was flavorful and on a bend of potatoes that were yummy.Sat in the back patio where the roof was retracted, which made for a really nice spring evening. Based on this latest experience, would definitely be open to a return visit.

Came here for Friday night dinner and drinks. We had a large group of 14 and they were able to accommodate a last minute reservation. It was pretty surprising to be able to make a reservation for 14 on open table. They have a whole outdoor/indoor patio space in the back for large groups and it was perfect for the 80* weather day. The waitress was also able to do individual checks as long as we stayed in our seats. This makes spot perfect for large groups. They have an expansive cocktail and spirits list. All of the drinks were amazing!I got the ratatouille, seared scallops, and the fig pig burrata salad. Thé ratatouille was so good. Super refreshing and bright and perfect for the hot sunny day. Seared scallops was also very good! I love the pasta The came with. Our friend got the steak which I didn't get a taste but it was plated SO beautifully. Our Fig Pig and Burrata salad was mid. It seemed pretty small for $16 and the burrata was kind of cottage cheesy as it came broken up vs intact (egg shaped).I would order everything again except for the burrata. The overall ambiance is very unique and I love the art-deco-y almost speakeasy vibes. The patio is better lit but the main dining room has mood lighting. I definitely want to come back for a date night here. Be prepared to look for street parking so come early!

We came in on Sunday night for happy hour :) We came at around 5:00 and enjoyed some amazing food and drinks. Here is what I had: The Blood Diamond: this mezcal drink is incredible! It is sweet, salt and smoky in perfect harmony. This was so good and the right amount of sour.Mezcal margarita: I ordered this on impulse and it did not disappoint. This margarita packed a mezcal punch, and the tajin on the top really made this pucker (in a good way). Truffle fries-pure indulgence. Their lemon aioli was really packed with zing, and the fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp. Extra points for a really fun presentation! Casio E Pepe-this is a cheese and black pepper noodle lover's dream. This was creamy and wonderful, and it was a shame to share with anyone. Southern Buttermilk Fried Chicken- This came with rosemary cornbread with honey glazed on the top. This chicken was fried but not greasy-very savory with the right amount of sweet.I enjoyed all these foods with hot sauce (Cholula). Our waiter was wonderful-he made great recommendations, and the Herb & Bitter is simply beautiful to look at. They have QR codes at the tables to scan for their menus. I loved their bar with the gold big cat statues. We felt like we could come as we were-we were dazzled as walk ins and next time we will be making a reservation! We could not have had a better time.

Good food and great service! We came here in a group of 10, and with a reservation we were seated quickly at a large table under string lights, which were gorgeous but continually flickered all through dinner for some reason. I got the French onion soup and autumn salad, both delicious. The salad had sweet potatoes which were a little bit undercooked, but everything else was great, with an awesome mix of textures. The drinks were also delicious, and our waitress was great at suggesting replacements for what wasn't available.
