Good vibes, great staff and perfect selection of beer & spirits. Loved the playlist! Oysters hit the spot. Try the Hoop Tea, taste like an Arnold Palmer which makes it's dangerous.

My experience at Hennessy's was disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, we waited an eternity for menus, only to be greeted by rude waitstaff who seemed indifferent to our presence. Ordering was another ordeal, as it took an unreasonable amount of time for anyone to even take our order. To make matters worse, after patiently waiting for 30 minutes for our oysters, they never arrived. Frustrated, we decided to leave without any acknowledgment from the staff.Overall, I would not recommend Hennessy's based on this experience. The service was abysmal, and the lack of professionalism from the waitstaff was unacceptable.

Walking along Union St, the words $1.50 oysters caught my eye. The mixed reviews had me hesitant, but at that price, how bad could it be? I should've kept walking. All around, I could tell that diners were frustrated. Incorrect orders, missing orders, and long waits for orders or the check affected us all. Some diners went searching for any employee present. While I understand being understaffed, there were many issues with efficiency. Staff would inform diners they would address the issue only to disappear for more than 20 minutes to focus on something else. We were patient when things were busy, but we all grew frustrated when the restaurant was quiet and staff decided to focus on other tasks instead of addressing customers who had been waiting forever. The food itself was fine. The cost is reasonable, especially considering the area. We enjoyed the oysters. This place is fine if you have a lot of patience and have no plans to be anywhere else.

I have dined here before.My most recent visit involved Happy Hour specials of tacos and oysters. We ordered Clam Chowder bowls off the menu during HH and the entire spread was fire.Would recommend visiting if you're in DTB.

This review is specifically for their late night music vibe. I have never eaten here or have been here early than 9, but the few times I have come here after to watch the live music it has been a blast. The vibe is fun and they always play fun, upbeat music to dance to. Also everytime I have been there hasn't been a cover where a lot of other places charge one. Overall I had a great time!

Sunday afternoon, first customers as they'd just opened. Food was excellent. The pretzel with cheese dip was huge.The bowl of clam chowder, very reasonable $8, nice flavor , just thick enough and not you many potatoes The steak tips dinner was fantastic. The beef was cooked exactly as I requested, medium rare, tender and full flavor.The tomato soup and grill cheese $14 was large portions and great taste.The fish and chips were different than the crispy battered ones, but enjoyable.

Divey and loud!!! I love a good dive bar and I love $1.50 oysters. I stopped in during the after work happy hour time and it was...lively. I found a small table and was almost immediately greeted by my server. I ordered oysters and a beer and they both arrived quickly even though the place was crazy busy. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the beer was cold. I'd recommend going at a time outside of happy hour so you don't need ear plugs.

This was absolutely horrible. I dont know if the food or service was worse. Probably the service. Waited 20 minutes for the waittress to take our drink orders. Waited another 30 minutes before the drinks came and we ordered food. At one point our waittress disappeared for 20 minutes. Finally our food came out and it was horrible. My burger was a hockey puck and the ketchup bottle was empty. I ordered an espresso martini and it tasted like chocolate milk with cooking vodka in it.Then the bill comes 180 dollars for four people to get burgers and a drink. A plate of fries here is $11. Waited an hour for awful food. Pretty sure the entire staff was high on something. Reuben sandwich was the worst sandwich I've ever had
