What a great experience with Yuki today. We're staying in Vegas for six nights. We made a few reservations in advance but left several to be spur of the moment decisions. We had a Lyft driver named JC who has recommended Xiao to us so we thought it would be a great option for lunch while we waited for our laundry to be completed. Such fabulous dishes. We had to get the soup dumplings and we went with the pork and crab. Such a tasty broth. Also had the pan fried pork buns, stir fried chicken, pineapple fried rice and the green beans with pork. Everything was to tasty. Special shout out for the green beans. They had such a flavorful sauce. Tasted of soy and fish sauce. And the fried rice reminded me of the kind we had in Vietnam in January. Will definitely be back the next time we visit. And a bit about the service. Yuki was so attentive and took great care of us. She quickly took our order for drinks and then for food. We never had to ask for a refill of water or iced tea. They came instantly. Super attentive. I also love that food comes to your table as it is being prepared. All the servers work as a team so you are always getting your dishes fresh and hot.

Service was good and food came out a little too quickly.. Now to the food... cucumber salad sucked, it was cut up with a knife, not smashed like it should be, also the sauce was like chili sauce mixed with something ... zero garlic like it should be. Steamed beef dumpling, was oddly shaped, also bland and no flavor. Stir fried cabbage was something I couldMade at home. Mongolian beef was maybe the same as something I could have ordered from a fast food Chinese restaurant. All the 5 star reviews are fake here ! Or am I just too spoiled by the authentic Chinese food In the San Gabriel valley ? We willNever be back.

Las Vegas definitely has grown, which means there are plenty of places offering Xiao Long Baos, aka XLBs, aka Chinese soup dumplings. We've definitely made an effort to try the various ones in town. Xiao Lung Dumplings is located on the west side of Chinatown Plaza. We arrived before opening on a weekend, which was 11:30 am, so we had no wait. With our party of 8, we knew we could get the chance to order a variety and all have a try. We did have some shellfish allergies in our group, so we had to be mindful of that. The menu is an order form, so there are no descriptions or pictures for those not familiar with this type of fare. They do have an extensive dumpling menu, which is great when you want a variety and want to focus only on dumplings. All that we ordered: * Salty Yolk & Pork Soup Dumplings (6) $13.95* House Special Pork Soup Dumplings (6) $9.95* Shrimp & Pork Soup Dumplings (6) $11.95* Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings (6) $13.95* Chili & Pork Soup Dumplings (6) $11.95* Pork Pot Stickers (6) $9.95 - They could put a little more effort in presenting it right side up.* Steamed Pork Dumplings (6) $9.95* Steamed Beef Dumplings (6) $10.95* Steamed Veggie & Mushroom Dumplings (6) $11.95* Pan Fried Pork Buns (4) $9.95 - This dish is something we usually order multiples of, and my kids fight over it. Their version wasn't that great, with the Husband and Little Gal not being a fan and the Little Guy having only one. We had leftovers and no one wanted it. There is a good amount of soup in the dumplings, which is mandatory. They offer minced ginger instead of ginger strips, which I'm on the fence about. The soup dumplings came out piping hot. Some were better than others, and it was decent experience overall. The pan fried version was a big disappointment, and we preferred the house special version at other places. Some of the soup dumpling skins would stick to the paper, so soup would go leaking out. That's a big fail. Service: Our initial waitress was great. She was very informative, especially when it came to the dietary issues. However, when the dumplings arrived, the staff puts all the steamers on your table and you have no idea which is which. We had to call our initial waitress over so she could identify the various ones. We definitely didn't want an allergic reaction to happen. The interior has been completely redone from the previous Chinese establishment. It's decorated quite nicely and reminds me of those old Chinese films. Our final bill came out to about $32 a person, including tip and tax. It's a good place to bring a large group so you can try a variety of their dumplings. But there are plenty of other places in town which offer a better version of the standard pork XLB.

Delicious soup dumplings, pork buns, steamed dumplings and so much more. Each time I go I find a new favorite. This visit it was the pork and chili soup dumplings. When I am on the west side of town, this is my go to bao spot.

We love coming here to get some soup dumplings. We were able to park in the front and walk in with no wait but this place does get busy. The place is big and has plenty of seating which is nice because a lot of people come here. The server was attentive and checked on our table a few times. I highly recommend as it's not too expensive as other soup dumplings spots

Located in the Chinatown plaza, tons of parkings, open until 10-11p at night. The interior design was charming and classy. The servers were friendly, seated us right away and we were able to order thru QR Code menu, it has pictures on it.The dumplings here are the Vegas must have, very juicy and flavorful, they definitely handmade their dumplings in the kitchen you can taste the difference between them and the store bought ones.Spicy edamame is quite basic, beef pancake is a good option too:Definitely worth another visit.

Everyone was raving to me about this so I had to try it. It's in Chinatown but it has a big parking lot unlike some other places, so that was a plus. The ambiance for a Thursday at 3pm was pretty open and quiet. The little dumpling mascot was adorable. The service was interesting, we had a server, but we could also order online so by the time we did the online order, the server came over to take our order and we had to tell her we did it online. So a bit of a mis step. Here is what we ordered: 1. Chili Wontons: this didn't have your typical chili oil mixture, but instead a thick peanut sauce. It was a bit interesting, but I ended up liking these with the peanut dressing with a nice spice kick. 2. Beef Roll: typical and delish! Nothing special, but it was good. 3. House Soup Dumpling: I believe this is just pork dumpling. But the skin on this dumpling was so thick it stuck to the paper and ended up breaking everytime we pulled it up, so I think out of the 6 dumplings I had 1 with soup. 4. Pork and Cream Cheese soup dumpling: exactly as it is. The cream cheese is STRONG. Like overpowering and not in a good way unfortunately. 5. Chocolate Banana Dumpling: We opted for this as dessert and unfortunately the thick skin was so off putting I couldn't enjoy it. For being a soup dumpling spot, the thick skin on all dumpling was a huge miss for me. Unfortunately this is not my favorite.
