This place comes to my job once a week for us to have lunch. Last week (9/10/24) the food was GROSS. This week 9/17/24 the food was pretty good. The chicken was served with seasoning, and you an tell it was made fresh...last week I know old oil was used, to fry the chicken and the yams(sweet potatoes) were dry and not seasoned well.9whoever cooked last weekend should stay a the register) The average meal is $15 here, up to $19 a meal. You're paying for the convenience.

Like another reviewer said, where do I start. I recently had the very dissatisfied experience of ordering from this food truck while at the Gospel Fest. I had to wait over an hour to get 1 order of wings and some fries. And that was AFTER I actually got the chance to place the order. I ended up missing almost the entire second "act" of the music at the festival. There were actually times when the staff stopped taking orders so they could "catch" up on the tickets. During an intermission! I saw three people inside the truck and only one appeared to be doing the cooking/assembling/boxing. The other 2 seemed to place the food in the bag or wait until they could once again take orders. Once I got the food, it was clear the fries had been frozen. I love potatoes in almost any kind of way and I did not finish these. The wings, while not as bad as the fries, lacked flavor and leaned toward the dry side. Overall, it was a horribly disappointed experience.

Is there a food truck anywhere with as likable a name as 'We In The Kitchen'? This time of year they're open Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and then on the other days it's 'We In The Living Room', as they kick back on the sofa for a well-deserved break. The popular order is the plate, which comes with a meat (often it's rib tips, wings, brisket, catfish, links, or oxtails) and two home made sides (potato salad, mac & cheese, collard greens, baked beans, fries, or candied yams). I got the two meat plate with wings and rib tips, collard greens and mac. Everything tasted great - ribs are tender and wings are fried with a batter that makes the crust craggy. Mac & cheese is superior to others, the gooey cheese way better than that runny Cheez Whiz-looking crud that some places offer. Nutritious greens that aren't bitter tasting are my preference and these were just right. Walking up to a food truck, I won't hesitate to make a u-turn if it looks nasty and unbathed. "Be right back...forgot my wallet," I'll say, before slinking away into the night. This particular truck looks well kept and gives the diner confidence that the business has its act together. Proprietor Sarah has a cool, mellow vibe about her and takes pride in her cooking, as she should. Wearing gloves when handling the food is always nice to see too. The truck travels to different locations and caters, but can often be found at 1606 S. Commerce Street near the Arts District and close to Stratosphere. Hours may change to accommodate this beastly 115 degree weather, so check online. Bottom line? As long as they in the kitchen, we in heaven!

Where do I start, so firstly they were almost 30 minutes late, after 30 orders they were already running out of food, and then to top that all off it took almost 2 and a half hours to get out food..... so I kept high hopes maybe the quality is worth the wait??? I got a catfish poboy, fried pickles, potato salad. Upon first glance the bun was full of food! It looked great! You maybe get a single pickle worth of deep fried pickles and a half scoop of potato salad. I took a bite of the sandwich and was immediately struck with bad fish taste, so I tore off a bit of fish from the back and you know when your body is like ya don't eat another bite, that's what I got, you immediately got a pungent fish smell and taste, at this point I stopped eating it. The fried pickles were old and cold so you can tell nothing is made fresh to order, they use the same breading and frier as the fish so all you taste is old fish. The potato salad is from a store most likely sams club.Never got to try the Mac n cheese as they were out by the 30th order. My coworker got the collard greens which were pretty good!2 hrs for this, 2hrs.

I only tried a sample of the ribs and seafood mac and cheese at an event but damn was it good. They're a food truck that I'd stop at. Southern food and wow is it delicious.

I highly recommend the Bam-Bam Poboy for all my Poboy lovers. Those fried pickles are perfectly seasoned & crispy. I have been to this food truck 5 times and the food has been pretty good or okay but never bad. on two different occasions, it was very spicy!! I had to slow down eating because the sides and the meat Was way too spicy but the flavor was good... also they are LATE ! Not five or 10 minutes late but 30 minutes to an hour late has been my experience. Very frustrating to get there and not see the truck.
