Viva Mercado is just a quiet hidden gem inside village square. It has some great Mexican food. You get quickly seated and someone automatically comes out with chips, salsa and bean dip. He takes your drink order then the waiter will come take your order. They have a pretty good lunch menu. It's like $15. I ordered the carne asada tacos. It came out with guacamole and I was confused because I read the ingredients and it didn't say. I told the waiter is this suppose to have guacamole, I swore I didn't read it on the menu. Turns out the lunch menu didn't have the guacamole in there like the regular menu. He apologized and they took the one with guacamole and made me a new plate on the fly. Great service. We love it here. Def try it out.

Food: variety of delicious authentic Mexican dishes. I tried shrimp with costena spice level this time. Not sure if cook put too much lime on the sauce but it was too sour. A little disappointed.-very good fideo soup; good mild salsa for gringosService: goodAmbience: comfortable vibeOverall, sauce for my entree could have been better and as expected from neighborhood, entrees are too pricey.

Haven't been here in many years. Prices are on the higher side than they should be. A small side of sour cream is $3. Our waiter brought us a frozen strawberry margarita when we asked for it to be on the rocks. Not a big deal but we did have to ask for the same things a few times. Food is ok. Nothing special but like I said very expensive for some basic Mexican food. With so many great Mexican restaurants in town I don't see myself rushing to come back. Indoor interior is nice and I appreciate the plaza they are located in with a lot of spaces. Free soup is nice too but you pay for it with higher prices.

What a great happy hour! It has great hours from 3pm-7pm & phenomenal drink & food choices. I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in forever, so, we were so busy talking I didn't get enough pictures, but their margaritas are amazing & other than just salt, they can rim the glass with Tajin, yum! We also split the tostada plate which was delicious! Also, complementary chips, bean dip & salsa: yay! It's a fun, lively atmosphere with very nice bartenders & servers. I even met the owner that was helping out & she was a peach! I'm very impressed & am looking forward to returning! Highly recommend!

Finally found a good Mexican restaurant near Summerlin. The main waiter was very friendly, gave great service and a little history of this restaurant. I'll be back, it's a great spot and surprisingly it wasn't packed

Been here a few times, now kinda out of to place for good Mexican food. The soup is amazing, for as simple it is, has tons of flavor.Chips and salsa are always good, the salsa have a slight kick of heat to it, and the bean dip is very tasty. The enchilada and the tamale, was very good, a ton of chicken in the tamale, could have used a bit more meat. The rice and beans would have been better had they came out hot, but they were medium warm at best.My wife had a margarita and she said it was good, lots of tequila.. lolThe wait staff was always asking if we were good, and kept filling our water up.Have not been here on a real busy day yet but i'm sure that they pack in the customers on the weekends..

Called in prior to coming into dine asking if we they have outdoor seating since we have a dog. They said yes they can accommodate and we also asked what time they close today and said their normal time (9 PM). My party shows up 15 minutes later and now they tell us they can't take us because they have too many reservations and a server called out. Why tell us yes then deny us when we show up shortly after?

I have lived in Las Vegas my whole life and have never been to Viva Mercados. A group of friends and I decided to check it out for cinco de mayo. We were easily able to make a reservation for about 9 of us. I was surprised on how dead the restaurant was for the holiday but was thankful. On weekends they do a special of bottomless mimosas and sangria. For the holiday they also offered $5 margs and draft beers. 4 of us opted for the bottomless since it was brunch for us. They do offer 3 flavors, pineapple, cranberry, and orange. As for a meal I decided on the combination plate since it seemed like the most decently priced option. I did the chicken enchilada and the beef burrito. I can say I was not very impressed. The chicken was pretty dry and so was the beef. I will say the rice and beans were great though, as well as the cup of fideo that comes with the meal. Service was on top of everything. I did have to knock off some stars because they offer bottomless, but after an hour they no longer wanted to serve us more drinks. I understand time limits. Most brunches we have been to state a time limit (most around 90 minutes). However, these were not stated to us when we ordered which I thought was a bit off for me. I don't mind a limit but tell customers or have them clearly stated on the menu. We all had about 4-5 mimosas each which I didn't find too excessive. Probably wouldn't be back for brunch. But thankful for the opportunity to try them out.

Viva Mercado is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas. The food is delicious and I highly recommend their cheese crisp for an appetizer. More importantly, The service is top notch! The main waiter always greets us with a big smile and "hello my friends!" He knows our drink order and always visits to ask how we're doing and catch up on the restaurant. Visit this gem!

Service was absolutely horrible. Waited 20 minutes just to get our chips and salsa another 15 minutes to get our Fidel soup almost an hour before we got our food that came out cold. The chips were stale. I would not recommend this place to my dog. The server had nothing but attitude. The owner came over and all she could do is apologize. Their answer was we were backed up. They should be ready for business.
