Valerio's Tropical Bake Shop has an array of Filipino desserts and savory treats. You'll find them on Flamingo and Maryland, next to Chow King and Seafood City. The area has plenty of parking.Inside is a small store with limited space. They don't have seating available and the place is mainly for takeout. My family loves fresh pandesal and it's always been a staple breakfast in the household. The bread roll is soft with a slight crisp, a little sweetness, and it taste great when lightly toasted. There's also bread with ube and coconut filling, various sweet rice cakes, donuts, ube halaya, and kalamay. They offer several snacks including suman, empanada, and siopao which is a fluffy steamed bun with savory meat filling. My personal go-to is Hopiang Monggo, it kind of resembles a Chinese Moon Cake but without the salted egg yolk. The pastry is delicious! Hopiang Monggo is light, buttery, flaky, and mung bean filling is not too sweet!

They have a huge assortment of baked goods! It was a bit tight in there. The service was good, they were very attentive. I didn't like the food all that much though. Maybe it's overrated from being hyped up too much! I'm down to try it again if given the chance!

This small bakery ships their goods to my home town and it wasn't a connection I made until I got home and put my vegas purchases right next to some ube pastillas that I had purchased from a local market. I notice my family has always appreciated this bakery. We stumbled upon this location because I was on the hunt for cassava deserts and we hit the jackpot. We stopped here two days in a row and there are definitely a lot more people in the morning. They sometimes have specials for empanadas purchases buy x and get 1 free.. They have sales of older breads that you can also look out for. People go in and are standing in line with arm fulls of stuff which is all the validation I needed to go crazy with my purchases. I highly recommend coming here for some delicious snacks

Craving for Filipino style pastry, this is the place to be. They have so much choices, bread are soft and has chewy texture, compliments well to your coffee or tea. And the variety of filling from the American cream cheese to the Filipino cheese and ube filling, definitely brings pleasure to anyone's palate. They have authentic drinks as well and cook foods to order for your parties. The ladies behind the counter are super nice although the space is a bit small and can be too crowded at times.

Wow, in and out on this visit because just needed a gift for a recent Phillipines native now living here, also my brother was with me and he was salivating over everything in the store ;)))- Soo I knew what I was after some Ube Rolls, Bean Buns, and Banana leaf rolled Sweet Rice; the standard staple in any Phillipinos Tea Party. Even though I don't remember the names of these items I do know them by seeing and tasting them...These are the Real Deal; quality and quantity are priced right and the bakers are always happy to help a regular Vegas Boy.If you want some, just pop in, and if you don't have an expert someone else shopping will give you a helping hand.Serious baked goods that will Impress you and your Family and Friends....No pictures this time as noted that I had too get my brother out of there fast ;)))-

In the short time (unfortunately) that I've been coming here, I've noticed a bit of a change in the way they make things and it's all for the better lemme tell you.Yes, the place is small and can get really congested, especially when lola wants her pan de sal and you're trying to explain to your non-Filipino, only eats "American" food boyfriend what any of the stuff is because he wanted something sweet but is now severely overwhelmed, so you're blocking the aisle and she shoves past you. However, its' worth the pain when you get yo walk out with some really good goodies.I've noticed they make a larger variety of stuff now and that it seems to be fresher. I think more and more people are coming in so they can make more stuff. Some things are kind of more modern now too. I love how the sapin-sapin wasn't in a rectangle, but little rounds molds like kutsinta. The pricing may have gone up quite a bit in the last few years but again, as long as it's fresh, I'll pay.Seriously, nothing we ever get isn't super tasty and gone immediately.

I need this in VB! Kaibigan, do you hear me!?!? LOL Everything and anything that we would want that our parents made was here. And more! Like, I know we have our fmaily bakeries, but not many have sapin-sapin, kutsinta, suman, bibingka, casava cake, cheese roll, enseymada...omg....it was insane. What made it more impactful for me was there was an abudance, and it is more a commercial bakery (I believe because my cousins said that they are in California as well) so I loved that there was an ingredient list on everything which you don't always see. I bought Hopia munggo and bibingka. Haven't tried the hopia, but they are big and plump. I'm excited! The bibingka was so rich, I still have a ton left. I would be sooo happy if that came to VB. Definitely another must when I'm in the West Coast again!

Super delicious. Wide array of classic Filipino desserts and savory snacks. It was a busy place people exiting with their bag full of goodies. We didn't think we would find so many desserts we wanted but ended up walking out with our bag full as well. Friendly service. Freshly baked our selection was still nice and hot right out of the oven. Try this place you'll soon love it.
