Tim Ho Wan in the Palms Casino in Las Vegas was a crazy holiday experience. We came here on Christmas day, and there was already a line 30 minutes before they opened. It was my first time here for all of us and the food came out fast when we ordered it. We didn't have to wait long at all so overall that was pretty good. Food-wise though I was expecting it to be more traditional but I guess they changed the taste to become more Americanized Asian-style food. They had this Vietnamese coffee which tasted like it was just premade instant coffee. Don't order this. Also, the dishes are huge so be warned we over-ordered everything and it was just too much food for us. Wasn't a fan of the chicken feet as well. They were too skinny and was hard to get the skin off.

My family and I came for dinner. We were seated, but since they were busy we were waiting awhile before someone took our order. Understandable since it is busy. Another table came and were seated not too far from us. However, we waited an hour and half and barely got half our food and the other table that came after us already received their food and were eating. The service person came and was like are you done? But we informed them that we didn't receive half of our order yet. It seemed that our order was overlooked or forgotten. I watched a service girl knock over a cup to the floor, picked it up and put it back onto the table for later customers to use. Overall the food was okay, not bad. Not significantly remarkable though. It was busy so bustling atmosphere. The guy apologized, but didn't offer anything for their mistake. Just don't come when it is busy, there is miscommunication and not efficient when they are.

Who doesn't love all day, Michelin Star Dim Sum!Technically only their Hong Kong location has a Michelin Star, but their Las Vegas location still hits the spot when you're craving dim sum! This became known as the "world's most inexpensive Michelin starred restaurant" when it won a Michelin star in 2010, and since then has become widely popular around the globe! I love that they have a location at the Palms and they have all the dim sum classics I love like siu mai, har gow, steamed rice rolls, and BBQ pork buns. It's a great option when you're craving dim sum during the weekday and even for dinner!

So taking a star off because my BBQ pork bun was slightly burnt. COME ON. this is where you got your michelin star.. DO THAT ONE right! the food is good and overpriced. but good. so very solid. However, i'm from Los Angeles so i would have expected their dim sum to be LARGER now. So for the price i'm paying there are places now who make the dim sum large to show the quality that you are paying. We also tried the won ton noodles - a little soft and not as AL dente as i would have liked.Tried the steam black cod and it was great! highly recommend it. They did try to refill our tea often but we just go through that small tea canister like nothing! It's inside the palms hotel so parking is free right outside. it's FREE parking for a hotel so highly recommend just swinging by if u can!

Wait is always long so be sure to put your name down and then explore the casino. The cheung fun was super delicious! The noodles are made perfectly. We definitely got many orders of this. There are many dim sum items to choose from. They have a menu that's a placemat and it has photos to show the food. The server gives a paper and you mark down the food you want and they will bring it to you. The food comes out steaming hot. The interior is very nice! It is pricer than other dim sum places, but it is very nice and the food was good. I would recommend if interested in a nice dim sum spot.

We really like it and it's our usual go to Dim Sum near the Strip. Prices not bad for inside a resort casino. Great for take out too. Fast friendly service.

I feel like this is one of the nicer places for strictly dim sum. The order:Shu maiCheung FunPorridge Turnip CakeRice rollsThe good:Food is delicious. Ha Cheung is my favorite and they make the best I've had. Servers were great and very on top of it. The bad: it's pricey. Most Asian parents would rather go someplace else. The wait is crazy. Wish they had reservations or something to manage the time better. Tea for $5 feels like they're gouging for no reason.

So I wanted to treat some friends for a nice meal and Tim Ho Wan did not disappoint! The ambiance was quite lovely and though it was full, we got seated pretty quickly. I might have ordered everything on the menu... it was all so yummy! As a purveyor of dim sum regularly, I give this place my highest recommendation!

Get the lava sesame ball. Service here was great. Even though we came in at the last hour, we weren't being rushed and even got a lot of refills. Really loved their veggie dishes, stir fried string bean with garlic and the Chinese broccoli. Siumai was also good. They serve Pu'er tea here, and my boyfriend like that. Oh yeah, and get the lava sesame ball. It's the best dim sum dessert.
