Tucked away in "the village" at Lake Las Vegas is a beautifully decorated speakeasy bar. It's fantastic and is full of small alcoves and furnishings set up to allow small groups to mingle and talk. It has intriguing decor and while the music is present, it is at a volume that allows for conversation without yelling. The staff is friendly and welcoming and while attentive, they are discreet. If you are embroiled in a conversation, they will silently pass by and return a little later to check you. We tried a few cocktails and while they were all good, my favorite was the Old fashioned. Anyway, if you are in the area and fancy a few drinks, you can't go wrong here. They're awesome!

A friend came through town and we were looking for a place to talk and catch up over a drink and a bite and I remembered I had wanted to see what Lake Las Vegas was all about. We arrived looking for the Pub, but turns out we ended up at the Speakeasy instead. This was all fine and good because the ambience on the table side of the place was exactly what we were looking for. We were told to sit anywhere we fancied since it wasn't busy and we chose the large homey dining table by the window and the baby grand piano. Normally, I absolutely will not stay at a place that allows smoking, however, the place was well ventilated and the doors were open, so whatever smoke I smelled from the bar area when we arrived wasn't as terrible as it it could have been.It was happy hour, but I ordered off menu and got a margarita with Hornitos. The waitress offered Casamigos initially, citing it's smoothness, but I don't care for that stuff. I told her Casamigos is tequila for vodka drinkers and tequila ought not be smooth. I like the bitey bite from a good tequila, especially if I'm mixing it with citrus. Anyway, so I said the snobby bartender thing and then I politely ordered some bacon fig flatbread to share with my friend. There was a flatbread similar to what I ordered on the happy hour menu but it did not include the bacon and would have been smaller so I just ordered from the regular menu. After my delicious golden margarita, I switched to a beer and found that sharing the flatbread was a great snack to tide us over for exploring the lake before going to dinner somewhere else closer to his lodging.I was told there was a karaoke / open mic sort of event coming up but she lost me at the Taylor Swift theme. Maybe another night with another theme!

Came here for a 50th birthday gathering, it did not disappoint. Perfect weather to sit outside on the patio upstairs. The NBA playoffs were on and there was a TV in the middle patio, there are 3, all have glass between them so you can watch also. The chacuterie board paired well with drinks and conversation. The patio areas are very big, and there is a full bar upstairs, hopefully you get Amanda she was great! Between the cigars and drinks and good company when we ordered none of us took pictures of our food but trust me order the STEAK and garlic fries! It's a lot of food, but very tasty. There is an elevator in the back corner, so upstairs is very ADA accessible.

I'm a fan of this place for the poker bar aspect, as it's the only place to indulge at the Lake. The decor is a bit overzealous, staying true to the Speakeasy theme. It's on a lake, why not go with a beach theme....just sayin'. The menu, which changes frequently, features mostly bar food. The cheese sticks are good. I think they still have cocktails on the menu, but probably not the fancy ones like when it first opened. They have special drinks listed on a board at the bar, and my current fave is Chispa Rita in a can. Another is Lovelady Paleo Porter also in a can. The music has been mostly 70s & 80s lately, which I dig! The place has a nice vibe, but hasn't been that busy most of the times I've been here. Whiskey is the featured bevvie, at least judging by the whiskey displayed on the bar. The place is pretty big, with a bar and seating area on the 1st floor (there's also a piano). The 2nd floor has a bar and seating, and more restrooms. The patio is available for dining as well. As with most establishments at the Lake, business here is like the tides- up and down.

Loved this place! Drinks are really good and the bartenders and staff are amazing. Cigars were really stale and ready to crumble on the first batch we got. But they replaced them at no cost with some better ones. Restrooms are really clean. And the entire atmosphere just has a great vibe and really comfortable. Flatbread pizza was really good too! Can't wait to come back to this place again!

This place extremely hard to find! We were attending a wedding reception here at about 8:30 p.m. on a Friday evening. Used my phone's google map to get us here, but then it was like "where is it?" Finally, I ran down the steps to find the place and noticed just golf carts down there. Not the easiest place to navigate with the 95-year-old with me! So, my aunt and cousin were let out and the hubby and I went to park the car in the parking garage and find our way back (partly in the dark). The reception took the entire second floor, but it was so smoke filled. We spent most of our time on a cool little balcony off the main room, but the heavy smoke was also drifting up from below us. The concept is really cool (and I'd like to have seen the hidden room behind the bookcase that others have mentioned), but it appears that Nevada hasn't really got the message about smoking that was sent several decades ago.

My wife and I started a Saturday night bar tour. Each Saturday, a new bar. We made reservations and upon our arrival we asked the bartender. He basically said sit anywhere aside from the table that has a reservation plate. Hmmm. I told him we had a reservation. He said sit anywhere, doesn't matter. We found on small table, that was only made for two drinks. Not dinner. The bartender came over through the menu on the table and ask in a rude tone. What do you want. Not even time to open the menu. I told him we needed a minute and he said fine and left. After about 10 seconds of looking at a dull menu, we left and went next door to the Pub. Which was excellent and the table was made for drinks and food. Stay away from this place. Not a speakeasy and the bartenders look like amateur night
