The Modern Vegan

Fuxking love this place!! The menu is so fun, the food is delicious and has tons of range! Until I can afford to go back I can't wait to keep trying more and more of this fantastic menu Eaten: Poutine, hangover fries, bahn mi, surf & turf, wings, and the BBQ macaroni! Highly recommend the surf & turf with the buffalo wings as an app 10/10

We were given a gift card for this place. We visited in the past, many years ago, we're just not in the area much. The food was ok, it wasn't the BEST vegan food that I have had but it is definitely Modern. If you are very much into the imitation meats, this is the place for you. Many of the items I can make at home for a lot of cheaper and tastier. The best item I had was the Cherry Shirley(cherry syrup and sprite with cherries). The service was eh...I have had better but it wasn't bad, just not welcoming. The ambiance was ok, nothing that stood out to me. Overall, the experience, the food, the service wasn't bad...thankfully we had a gift card. Will we be back??? Only if someone requests to go but it's not one of my favorite vegan spots. It's worth a try if you have never been here. If I were to go again, I would probably order an entree or breakfast instead of a sandwich or burger.

Um, wow. What an awkward first experience at The Modern Vegan. Where do I start? Walking in, we tried to make conversation with the hostess and ask her for recommendations and she seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. Which, okay, understandable, it's probably too early for that anyway (11:00am). We started off with some drinks but it took +30 minutes for a water refill and another half hour for the food to come out. The place was not busy at all but I think the workers were not having it with each other and there was a lot of shady remarks made along with frustration. The tensions were high between some of the workers to the point where we saw one of them slam the doors to go to the back. Everything and everyone was just off so we didn't eat our food at the establishment and we just packed up and left. Also, please do not touch your customers! This guy who was not even our server came to our table to talk to us and my friend who was having a headache had his eyes closed and the guy rubbed his shoulders. This made my friend extremely uncomfortable since we didn't know this stranger.

This popular restaurant is located next to UNLV. From the outside, there is a lack of aesthetics, and a fair amount of litter. The vibe inside is friendly with a lively patronage. The menu is impressively large, and consists entirely of comfort foods. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available throughout their business hours.We had the Chick'n & Waffles and French Toast Bacon Grilled Cheese. Both had impressive portions, which made them challenging to finish. The price was close to $30 each. Pricey for locals, but similar to pricing on The Strip.Service was excellent during our visit.

It is also NOT easy for me when I'll read through a full vegan menu. But mostly it is as delicious as it is here at the modern vegan (tmv). I selected this restaurant mostly for my husband who is pescatarian and the good thing at a full vegan restaurant is he doesn't have to worry if he can eat it - and so he can try things like chicken and waffle what he normally would not choose. We had the avocado toast (which was so generous in size) the steak bite fries with jalapeño (really good. I don't east steaks but those bites have been very tasty), a beyond burger and the chicken and waffle. The beyond burger comes in a pretzel bun. While taste wise it's a good match the pretzel was not baked to a crispy outside so it was hard to eat - either by hand or with fork and knife) the bun was just to sticky and crumpled to easy. If it would have been baked before hand it would be perfect. The rest of the burger was good even the vegan cheese has been getting better and better those last couple years. The chicken and waffle was a clear winner the vegan chicken was fried to perfection (yes of course vegan chefs cannot really cook - kill a chicken or steak) but the waffle was moist and tasty. The mashed potatoes have been delicious a really good composition. All in all we would come back - it is not cheap tho the chicken and waffle was way over $30 alone at the time of the review (Jan 2025) but if you are vegan and want something special it's a good investment and you will not be disappointed

The menu!!! I made a huge mistake and got a burger the first time I went. Don't get me wrong the burger was great. But I can make burgers at home. Why didn't I get one of the Mac and cheeses, or the crab cakes or po' boy. I missed on an Omnivore type meal with a vegan spin. When we went back I tried the steak stroganoff fettuccine. It was perfect. The buffalo cauliflower is a great app. So many choices. The service was spot on. Able to enjoy a relaxed nice dinner with my family. Prices I thought were reasonable for great vegan food.

I was in Vegas for the weekend and I was in the mood for some vegan food. I heard this place was good from a fellow vegan. I decided to try it out. The location is kind of low-key, dark, hidden, but I'm so glad I came by they open late so that's cool. service was really good. My server was really helpful and polite. So shout out to him. I didn't get his name. I got the breakfast plate. my pancakes were delicious. Maple syrup is natural and I loved it. The food was exceptional. The prices were fair. I definitely recommended

Good service. Very clean. Also had the jalapeño poppers. They were amazing and so is the TMV dipping sauce. The sauce is to die for! Asked for extra for fries and wrap. TMV sauce is extra $2. The Mac brisket is HUGE

I don't leave reviews but this place was amazing!I ordered "the guapo" with no bacon and it was the best burger I've ever had. I ordered some pasta to go it was good but I suggest you try their food fresh for the best experience. I can't forget the waiter Britany, she was so sweet everyone I encountered was nice and on top or maintaining such a delicious restaurant. Even if you aren't plant based you need to try this place, cause I know for sure I will be back!

Came here on Tuesday night. Chose this place for its GF options and it didn't disappoint me. At the door I was warmly greeted by Carlos who took me to my table. He was my server too. As a person with a lot of food intolerances, I had a lot of questions, which our server was very knowledgeable and answered my questions to a great detail. I really appreciate that, since a lot of places don't seem to know their own menu that well (yikes!). I had "the girlfriend" burger with sweet potato fries. It was everything I was hoping for! Overall- great ambience and experience, with amazing service. Thank you, Carlos and the team! I Will come back! :)
