The Eddie Griffin Experience

Went to see EG show on 12/30/24. Easily the worst comedy show I've been to or even seen. Started late, 30-45mins. Then had to watch what felt like a 10-15 min highlight reel video on his career. From there he told maybe 2-3 jokes before the show turned into a drunken rant based on opinions with comedy replaced by bitter and angry tones of racist, sexist and political views. He ended up sitting down on stage and just going on rants while his employees supplied him with more alcohol. When he engaged with the crowd to do crowd work, anyone that spoke up with differing opinions were either ridiculed by EG or kicked out of the show. About 30-40 people walked out early. My party of 4 ended up leaving early as well, wish we never even wasted the time or money in the first place. EG used to be funny but clearly hasn't aged well and is more interested in going on angry drunken rants than telling jokes. Vegas has so many great shows, the EG show isn't one of them.

My husband and I were looking forward to seeing EG in Vegas. I didn't even think to look at the reviews before going. I wish I would have! The show was TERRIBLE!!!!!! Just as the other reviews said, it started late and it was just a drunken rant on Eddie's part. We walked out along with half the audience. Planet Hollywood needs to shut the show down! Do not waste your time or money!

It seemed like he didn't really have any material prepared and was just winging it. Lots of silence and long pauses that were almost awkward. The theater is upstairs so be ready for that, yet the bathroom is downstairs.

I love Eddie. I've loved him his whole career and still do. However, his Las Vegas shows are a hot mess. I have gone twice, a month apart, thinking maybe his nerves were bad that night. Nope, still a hot mess. The rants about politics got on my last nerves. Rants about his reviews, about so what if he is bad, there's no refunds. Rants about women are no good and calling them names during the entire show. None of it was funny. Some people were walking out. My brother who is an extremist when it comes to politics was even shaking his head. It was sad to watch. I felt sorry for Eddie.

This show was supposed to be the topper to my husband's 60th Birthday celebration. Wrong!!! This was the worst comedy show I have ever seen. Eddie Griffin was drunk and continued to drink through out the show. Political rants, he hates Kamala Harris and loves Trump. We get it. The performance was cringy. It was like watching the drunk Uncle at the family bbq tell unfunny jokes. I want my money back. Over $200 pissed down the toilet!!

I specifically remember writing a review for this show when I went and now it is gone. The photo I uploaded 4 years ago for it is still up. I contacted Yelp and apparently they can remove reviews for any reason... While I can't remember specific jokes anymore, for the record, I had wanted to see this show for years because I loved him in the Deuce Bigalow series with Rob Schneider. My husband surprised me with tickets and I was so excited to go. The entire show was Eddie drinking, becoming angry as he continues to drink and he was being super racist. There were no punchlines just him ranting about all the races he doesn't like. It was an uncomfortable, unfunny show and I'm no longer a fan.

Super funny, he had the crowd rolling for almost 2 hours. if you are sensitive to anything in anyway don't go. ie politics, race, sexuality etc... It's raw, he holds back on nothing and like he says "these are jokes". If you are sensitive, you may want to go check out a Cirque De Solei show or something.

The Eddie Griffith show was absolutely the worst "NOT COMEDY" show I've ever attended. Started late, he was horribly derogatory and disrespectful. It was very clear by the drunkenness, ranting stupor and offensive topics that he exhibits internal dysfunctional behavior. Especially the way he lashes out towards women. I honestly can not believe this show is promoted. Time wasted. We left early to regain some of our time. If there was a negative option, I would've selected that. Consider this a warning. HORRIFIC!!!

BAD BAD BAD its was nothing I've expected to see. it was cringe all the way, hate jokes there weren't funny even 30 years ago, needless to say they are not funny today.the best part which kept me sited is to watch alllllll the people leaving in the middle and realizing why no mobile phones are allowed cuz if those videos from this nasty show ever leak out - it will finish what ever is left from his drunk A$$

OMG, HOW AWFUL! There was a time I really liked this comedian, but those days are long gone! No jokes, high/drunk! The video of him that opened the show made us think we were in for a good time, but that should have been the show! Do not waste your time or your money!
