We came for the Sigma derby game, and it lived up to the hype! We spotted this machine in a video on YouTube and added this casino to our Vegas visit immediately. There's something fun and unique about gambling with quarters let alone gambling with quarters on a one-of-a-kind machine that may be the only one of its existence in the world. I don't know exactly what I was expecting from the D, but in my mind, I was kind of picturing a slightly rundown and dingy casino in downtown Las Vegas . But that's not the case at all here. The D is a recently remodeled property with all new games fresh carpet, clean painted walls and an eclectic, but lively crowd of gamers, enjoying it all. The valet was friendly and quickly took our keys and offered us the complementary service . We made our way into the building and found the Sigma Derby upstairs with lots of people already around it playing. After a few seats opened up, we took them and began to play for quite awhile. The game is so fun. The horses in track are old school, but well kept each round you get to view the odds for the different horses then choose the first two that will cross the finish line at the end. Once the bets are locked, the ponies hit the track and the race is on with everybody cheering for their number. It's a basic game that's easy to learn and easy to bet and we enjoyed it for what felt like a couple of hours. It doesn't feel like losing much when it's 25 to a dollar per round and we got to have a couple of free drinks in the mix.For those that like to gamble, but don't like to lose a lot this is a great game to play, and I highly suggest visiting this casino to everybody who makes their way downtown because at some point this piece of history will be gone.

This is such an interesting spot on the old strip; you should try it out! It's hilariously a casino with fully-clothed dancers "entertaining" the gamblers. I didn't even notice them until our friend pointed them out, and I thought it was an interesting way to differentiate your casino. My favorite thing about this place is the staff! The dealers were not uptight about the rules of craps. I'm sure there are limits, but it wasn't like the unfriendly robots on the new strip. They were willing to teach the 21yo brand new gambler without stressing her out. They didn't mind her beginners luck that came along with things like kissing the dice, not knowing how to bet, and rolling a little erratically. So, if you have a new gambler, bring them here to learn in a fun environment with nice dealers!

The worst customer service. There was only one friendly guy at the front desk and the housekeeper supervisor. Everyone else was rude. I reserved and paid half of the fee for a non smoking room and they couldn't honor my reservation until the next day. They didn't even apologized or nothing. After asking for different solutions They promised me to take the resort fee off for the night I spent on the smoking room but they didn't at the time i checked out. They were mad at me instead of the other way around, just because I asked questions such as " can I paid the difference to get a suite" " why was my room given to someone else" " can I get a different room" etc. Also, this location is not good because is super loud at all times since you are right on the zip line. Though a lot of restaurants around to eat on walking distance. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

The D casino is one of my faves a Vegas local. From the old school Fremont vibes to the bartenders, Livio upstairs bar to the long bar talented flair bartenders Ivan and Brian you can't go wrong w great tasting drinks there at a decent price. The valet guys are always fast and friendly as well. Shout out to "Lee" who worked recently during the Common Kings concert at DTLV for his professionalism and an upbeat attitude w a great smile! Weird to see Mcds gone but this is a great spot to gamble and drink in the heartbeat of Fremont street. Thanks to Michael P. who is always an amazing host as well!

This is our third or fourth time staying at The D, and each visit has been exceptional. James, in particular, provided outstanding customer service on both occasions we interacted with him. The one-bedroom suite is perfect for our needs, especially for traveling and working. The spaciousness is impressive. My favorite aspects of the hotel room are the bathroom and the view. As someone born and raised in Texas, I find the sight of mountains absolutely stunning. The room includes a large sectional couch and a bar area with three stools. The king-size bed is incredibly comfortable, providing a wonderful night's sleep. The double shower heads are a great bonus, and the shower is so spacious it can accommodate about 10 people. Additionally, the motorized curtains that open and close with the push of a button are a nice touch, adding to the suite's luxurious feel.Guests receive a pool pass, a bus tour ticket, and even a drink card. We love Fremont and everything it offers, from gambling and dining to shopping and the street entertainment.

Rooms are fairly cheap and it's for a reason. Don't expect to get many amenities in your room. The TV is tiny (32") and the volume maxes out at a low level. There is no coffee maker, no mini fridge, no room safe. Nothing that you usually get other than beds, lights, linens. They advertise "Bath & Body Works" products in the bathroom but it's really some off brand. The best part about The D is that it is reasonably priced, located right on Fremont and is clean. The staff is also great and accommodating.

Staying at "The D" with my fam. My uncle requested a " non-smoking" room. We were told yesterday night it was the only room available with 2 beds but we could get a nonsmoking room in the morning. It's 10pm and he was never contacted about the new room. We checked a few times throughout the day with no luck. We checkout by 11 am tomorrow morning. What a joke. The registering staff was useless. We were told there was no way to book a nonsmoking room...WHAT???!!!! You know the smoking is bad when your neatly folded bath towel smells like smoke. The staff told us we'd be charged for smoking ( though we don't) the room already smell. HA!Don't stay here unless you don't mind sleeping in 2nd hand smoke.

Review for casino only. This place is the last in Vegas with the old school Derby horse racing game. You bet on mechanical horses to race around a little track and win if your horses win. Each horse has odds for each race and bets can be as low as a quarter. It's way more fun than it sounds, especially when the table gets really into and everyone is yelling and cheering for their horse. It's low stakes too so folks are having fun and talking with each other instead of freaking out that thousands of dollars are on the line. Usually get awesome drink service too. Check this place out for Derby for sure, it's worth the trip downtown.

Got great rates here compared to the other downtown hotels, now I understand why.The front desk clerk seemed tired or mad or sad? she was just not having it and was bothered about something? Not a good way to start off our exciting Vegas vacation. There is no mini refrigerator in the room, the shower is odd with just one door and half opened. I like that the walk from our room to the elevator was close by. Also our room was quiet and had 2 large beds.Wish they had connection to Netflix like at Fremont Hotel.
