I love Lao food!! There were many booths set up with their authentic delicious food! I got some Nam kaw, papaya salad, mango and sticky rice, lao sausage, watermelon and this crepe type thing with sugar and condensed milk in it. EVERYTHING was delicious and the portions were GENEROUS. I had leftovers the next day for lunch! They had rides which I though the tickets were rather expensive and not much of a deal - $1 = 1 ticket... $25 = 25 tickets - could have cut SOME type of deal! Anyway Hunnie Bunnie and I went in the fun house and she rode some cars and then did a jumpy house that didn't take tickets, it was $5 but you could jump for as long as you wanted. She had LOTS of fun in there until some punk ass little kid started pushing her!!! Good thing his parents were nearby to regulate OR ELSE!!!

I attending both last year at the Suncoast, and this year at Cannery. This year's was much larger, and nicer. Lots of great food vendors, but very little in the way of selling vendors for arts/crafts/tshirts. I only attended on Saturday, where the main event was the Miss Songkran pageant, and some Muay Thai boxing exhibitions/fights. It was a very enjoyable afternoon, and I hope this event grows to similar proportions to the one in Los Angeles' Thai Town. One of these years I will make it to Thailand for Songkran and enjoy the water fights!!
