Burrowed past the iconic chandelier display at the Cosmopolitan is an assortment of fast Vegas establishments arranged as a market-style eatery. Among the stalls, you'll find your usual Vegas suspects - a Dave Chang Momofuku spinoff, Nashville hot chicken, etc. but also the unassuming Tekka Bar, a handroll joint with a refreshingly simple menu. I ordered their most expensive offering (the high roller) which came at a humble $41 for a pretty large portion of sushi. All of the handrolls were freshly made-to-order and fairly decent with the dry seaweed exterior contrasting the plush, warm rice inside. The rolls were all good but did err on the saltier end, leaving us fairly parched by the end of the meal. Another gripe I have with this place is their lack of commitment to non-single use waste. The chopsticks and plates were already washable, so I'd imagine the effort to convert the cups and sake glasses to reusable ware would be marginal and avoid lots of frivolous trash. Regardless, affordable sushi on the strip is a rare find, so I'll definitely be returning!

Came here on a trip and had a pretty solid experience. Tekka Bar is more of a dine and go type of experience, you sit in a bar style area and order your food and drinks. Their menu offers a good variety of handrolls and some combination sets. The wait for the seats was average, but there is limited seating, so you may need to split larger groups up. The handrolls themselves were great in quality. The fish was very fresh and high quality, and the handrolls themself were put together nicely. The spicy tuna handroll stood out to me the most, mostly because of the texture difference in this handroll. There was a great crunch to each bite, and the spicy tuna itself had a great kick to it. Overall a great spot to drop by and try some handrolls, but probably not a spot to sit down and eat until you are full.

Brief Summary:- Located inside Cosmopolitan- Bar setting with an additional takeout register- Casual atmosphere- Bar seats around the restaurant, but there is also seats in lounging areas scattered inside the hotelThis restaurant is located in a food court like area with other restaurants and bars. The main setting is bar, but there is an option to order via takeout. With the takeout method, the hand roll is cut into eight pieces and placed in a convenient box that contains a few bags of soy sauce, pickled ginger, wasabi, and a small empty container to pour and mix the soy sauce and wasabi. The fish is fresh and easy to eat. It is on the lighter side, so I treated this as a light snack and take a break from all the walking.

I always make an effort to stop by here once a year when I'm in the area. I happen to stop by on Christmas so I called the make sure they are open before I head over. I was the last customer in the walk-in line for that day. Any minute later and I probably would have order take outs. My favorite rolls are salmon roll, crab roll and toro roll. The chef also asked what's my favorite after I finished my meal and that's what I told him. The staffs here are friendly and makes me feel taken care of. One staff offered my husband a glass of beer on the house while we waited in line. That is very kind of them. I didn't take pictures this time since I've uploaded photos from here before. I also tried their special roll (shrimp) this time. I think I ate about 8 rolls by myself and never came up for air. The chef is so good at timing when to give me the next piece. Make sure you try the dipping sauces (yuzukosho and tekka spicy)! One of my favorite places to eat!

This is the only handroll place my hubby will eat at and likes. We went this past Thursday and waited about 10-15 minutes for 3 people which was pretty quick. The service here has always been great and friendly! We got two high rollers I believe and the lowest set. Added on the lobster and king crab and the yuzu and spicy sauce. All the rolls were delicious and my personal fave was the king crab and salmon. We also got beet and sake which was nice to enjoy with the meal. The place was busy the whole time but you don't have to wait long when needed to be sat and I like that there is enough space between you and the next person.

Love this place! Love it even more when the line isn't long. It's always a fun time eating here. The staff are nice and friendly. The food delish! The drinks paired well with the hand rolls. It can be a bit confusing. The line to get seated is next to the sandwich place. You can also order take-away from the register. However, try to sit at the counter. It's so much fun to eat and people watch!Enjoy!

This is my go to spot in Vegas and I seriously book my hotel close by if not in cosmo to make sure I have easy access to this spot. Love the ambiance, it's casual,k with bar style seats. Service is always excellent. You just tell the chef in front of you what you want and they quickly prepare it for you. They keep their eyes on you to make sure you're finished before they hand you the next roll. My absolute favorite there is the lobster roll, negitoro roll, tekka roll, spicy tuna roll. Nitro infused matcha tea is also a must try.

I absolutely love a Handroll bar and was super excited we got to dine here.We had a delicious lunch. We ordered the 5 roll set which came with salmon, yellowtail, scallop, blue crab, and spicy tuna. Every single roll was perfection. It's such a simple concept but my goodness does it bring out the flavor and delicacy of sushi. My favorite was the blue crab. The crabmeat was sweet, tender, and flavorful. I also loved their nitro matcha on tap! It was so smooth! Also recommend washing down your handrolls with the Junmai sake on tap! Service was lovely! We loved our sushi chef, Ynot!!! He was hilarious and made the experience even more enjoyable.

Met up with a friend to watch Tosh.O and we hit this place up for dinner prior to the show. A quick heads up....Seating is limited and there can be a line waiting to sit down. I ordered the foursome and my friend ordered the threesome (yes, those are the names on the menu, lol) It took a bit of a wait to get my order in, but once it was in I started getting my hand rolls. Not a bad mix of meat to rice ratio (unlike some places that barely put any meat in their rolls).Service was good, but due to how busy it was in the restaurant, it was a bit slow. Ambiance is casual "street food" dining, and casual dress code is assumed. All-in- all a good experience and a fun place to snag sushi
