Taqueria El Gil

I was on my way from work to home and decided to try this. I saw some items that I was not familiar with but decided to order my usual carne asada burrito. It was flavorful and made in front for you to watch through the glass window. It took about 10 minutes for my order, but there were a few ahead of me during a Friday lunch hour. The burrito had a lot of meat but also fatty meat, which was the reason for minus a star review. I don't like it that.I did like that is this is open and on my way home. Would try something else another time. Not bad at all and prices seem appropriate for tacos nowadays for Vegas I guess and other joints. I hear it's less in LA from what my friend stated but I have not tried their tacos here yet either to see how they are, but for next time..

Just want to start it with the pros before the cons. Pros are it's within walking distance if you live in the area , it's a lot cheaper than other taquerias. It's clean inside and outside. They have a wide variety of menu items. And the cons they are forgetful so you have to double check everything fore you leave the flavors we're not great some of the items I got were lacking seasoning. Some of the items didn't taste fresh either the Sonora hotdog " was an item where the hot dog itself was dry, the pastor fries came with beans guacamole and pico de gallo and al pastor. The beans were from a can you could clearly tell.the pastor has a very odd and distinct smell and taste they were not good at all. I k ow this place was trending in yelp which is why I wanted to try it but I personally did not have a great experience and because of this I will not be taking my family back here again.

This location was recommended by a friend for lunch so I tried it. I ordered the carne asada tacos. The tortilla is homemade and the flavor of the tacos was excellent. The meat was tender and seasoned well. I did not add any toppings. The tacos pictured are how they come. They were a little spicy, but not overwhelming. I would go back.

Besides the Al pastor, nothing else is good. Chicken tacos had no seasoning. It was basically boiled chicken on a tortilla with onion and cilantro. My dog definitely would enjoy that. The tacos de cabeza had no flavor whatsoever so ever. The burrito was okay but unfortunately the lady didn't like that we asked for a simple burrito without cheese and guacamole and proceeded to still added it anyways. It's a one and done kind of place.

The best food, tasty and beautiful, a very good atmosphere, everything very clean, taqueria el Gil is my favorite place.

La carne esta buena, pero la tortilla deja mucho qué desear. No lo recomendaria el servicio fue exelente

Tacos de pastor were a big hit and the pastor fries were gas as well. Service was really fast and quickly.

Great tacos! Really well done with cheese base, lots of add ons and drink options. Would come back regularly if I lived nearby.

I ordered an el pastor burrito and it was so greasy I couldn't even eat it tasted like I was drinking straight grease

Taco stop in Las Vegas....they have their tortilla machine right there.All the toppings were fresh. Very friendly staff. They greeted us as soon as we came in.Overall the restaurant was clean and also their restrooms.
