'Tis the season for tamales y champurrado o atole. My bestie and I are both Mexican & were craving tamales since both of us spent the holidays away from home. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the place we'd planned on trying was closed. Tamales la Reina was open and only 20 minutes away... well worth the drive. We both ordered a good variety. I got 2 tamales preparados: pollo con mole y puerco con salsa roja. I am glad I didn't order the combo because I was STUFFED.The most important part of a good tamale is that they're meaty. Well filled. Tamales la Reina knows whats up. The ends were seeping out with filling, and every bite had meat. They also were very moist (but not too soggy), so a pedirlos preparados isn't even necessary. The atole was delicious and HOT. I had to wait for it to cool down a good while. Super fresh! I'm not sure if they had different flavors, I didn't ask. But what they gave me hit the spot. Side note: I'm so glad I didn't mess around and find out what the large looks like. A medium atole was way more than enough. The restaurant is small but very clean and new looking. Shared parking with other businesses, but plenty to accommodate. Maybe not the best restaurant for large parties, but totally worth a shot. Also, the music was banger after banger. I was singing as I ate lol.I will be back and bringing everybody I can! Happy holidays, Tamales la Reina!

We decided to do a taco Tuesday tour tonight. First stop was this tamale place not too far from our house. It's a tiny spot & we sat at the counter 'cuz there were 4 of us. We ordered the 3 taco plate. I only tried the pastor & adobada both were very good. My husband forgot to save half of the asada for me, so I didn't try the taco, but I did get to try the meat, which was tasty. My son chose two prepared tamales -- mole chicken & bean & cheese, both were really good. The mole was very flavorful with a nice kick, but we all decided that the bean & cheese tamale was our favorite item. My little grandson ordered horchata & a corn dog, not exciting, but he was happy. I took a bite to help cool it off & it was nicely cooked. The service was great. The girl at the counter was very friendly & helpful. My one star deduction was for the not very comfortable, but serviceable seating & the over powering smell of Fabuloso...but I guess that means it is clean, right? We will be returning soon!

I've been a loyal customer for many years when they started selling on Losee and Tropical from their truck. The tamales are big and meaty and moist. My favorite is the green chicken because it has the right amount of spice but their red pork is good too. I usually get the fried tamales with come with salsa, sour cream, and crumble cheese. They have plenty on their menu and so far everything is delicious. Flavorful, fresh, and hot. The customer is service is great and the family that runs it are amazing and friendly people. I would recommend this over and over again. Definitely one of the best in town.

I've tried tamales everywhere in Vegas, but think I just found my new tamale spot. They were so good and moist. Two tamales filled me up! The drive is worth it.

I finally got to taste Tamales La Reina food truck at the Tamales and Mariachi Festival today. I was so disappointed with the texture and the taste of the chicken tamale, I wonder if the tamales from their restaurant have a different taste?

My first time here, and was welcomed by amazing staff, only two people I saw working but the food came out in less then 10 minutes and was spectacular, homemade tamales, homemade horchata, very pleasant atmosphere. I found out it's a family Owned business, I would definitely come back here again, only problem I had was the seating was kinda small, especially if you're a bigger guy there's not a lot of options for you, but with food this great it's worth the sacrifice

It was my favorite place until they decided to send me a tamale with a bite and the champurrado was nasty too. I don't know if they got new cooks or if someone was in a bad mood but it definitely wasn't my fault.
