110% recommend...First visit here, place is small and quaint, we sat at the bar at 4:30pmTried Cucumber Salad, Shrimp Tempura (10pc), Yellowtail Jalapeno, Salmon Carpaccio, 2x Blufin Tuna Garlic Ponzu, and Black Pink. Everything was great!Cucumber salad lacked flavor (really nothing added to the cucumber) but the fish was very fresh. The blufin was a favorite. We also got a teriyaki chicken rice bowl and miso soup to go for a friend. Total bill $130. Left stuffed. Sushi chefs were great and everything came out quickly!

I came back and dined at the sushi bar, enjoying myself a light, yet filling meal. I had a spicy yellowtail roll with a side of spicy garlic ponzu, and a bowl of rice with natto. I definitely over ordered though because I was too full to finish my natto and rice. The spicy yellowtail roll definitely had some heat, but it was absolutely delicious. And the natto was seasoned to perfection and included some masago on top. The true highlight of this experience was the service from Lucy. She checked in on me frequently to make sure I was doing okay and made me feel welcomed at the restaurant. This is a nice intimate spot for a solo diner like myself, and the staff is always kind and accommodating. I will be back soon!

This restaurant, located right next to Boca Park, offered a mix of highs and lows during my dining experience. The highlights were the chu toro sushi, chu toro in garlic ponzu, firecracker roll, and scallop roll--absolutely amazing with high-quality fish. Although fatty tuna, in particular, never disappoints.Unfortunately, some items, like the fresh oysters and Monica roll, fell short and were honestly disappointing. To make matters worse, we experienced long wait times for several dishes, which detracted from the overall experience. While the staff was very kind and accommodating, it seemed like they were understaffed, which may have contributed to the delays. If my meal had only included the standout dishes, this would easily have been a 4- or 5-star experience. However, the inconsistencies and service issues make it hard to rate it that highly.

I was thrilled to see they had an entire gluten free menu. All I had to do was ask for gluten free sauces on my rock and roll. It was fresh with lemon yuzu. I would get this every day of the week. My coworker devoured her avacado bomb she said it was a little smaller than the last time but she loved it the same. The garlic edamame was to die for. We will be back again for the perfect lunch. No all you can eat but the price was still reasonable.

Tuna sampler (sashimi) is a great choice and good value vs a la carte. Also helps you understand the difference between the fattiness levels of the fish and flavor profile. Bento is good value if you're looking for that. Didn't do any special rolls, but they have garlic or spicy garlic edamame that was popular around me. Great service, very attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant itself isn't overly gorgeous as a location but no matter if it's not sexy date night (there are many options for that in Vegas).

I had to visit Tanuki one more time before 2024 ended. Best decision ever. Great food, great sake, and great people. Definitely will come back. Take a look at what I ate and try them on your next visit. Feels like I am in Japan without the expensive flight ticket!

Horrible experience from our last visit. We had six adults and one toddler; and the customer service was horrible. I felt like the Asian staffs were "racist" towards our table; albeit, racism connotes to Whites looking down at minorities. Our party consists of Asians & one White male. The server never came back to check in on our table. I had to literally walk up to the sushi bar to request for assistance. And the male sushi chef looked annoyed when I ask (for the SECOND time) for a knife. I specifically asked for the check to be split into thirds. And the male server brought out one big check. I won't be returning again. There are plenty of other amazing sushi restaurants in Las Vegas that treat their customers with respect.

Atmosphere always comfortable and clean. It was very crowded tonight. It is one of our favorite places. The owner is so pleasant and helpful think she is recognizing us! Ann is very pleasant and great service! Now you see this time the dessert. Delicious green tea ice cream by the owner. Loved it. We had a spider roll and a chicken teriyaki bento box. Both delicious and filling. Thank you.Highly recommended!

Sushi Tanuki feels like a little slice of Japan right here at home. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, making the whole experience special. The sushi is fresh and packed with flavor. They have a great mix of traditional options and creative dishes, but my favorite was the black rice roll--it was unique and absolutely delicious. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome, whether you're a sushi pro or trying it out for the first time.If you're looking for a place that feels like Japan and serves incredible sushi, this is it!

Ordered To-Go again. The last time I dined in, I was asking for a no-rice recommendation and the server suggested the seafood dynamite. Didn't see it at first, but apparently it's under appetizer instead of the no-rice roll section on the menu. Wanted to give it a try when I was ordering togo this time, so I gave it a go. It's baked, the flavor profile was very similar to baked mussels, so if you like that, I'm sure you will like this. Has rice cakes and some shrimp, mushroom and all that good stuff. Think of it as a meal version of the baked mussels. It was pretty filling too, but I think it would be great to go along with beer, if sharing with the table. Overall, very satisfied. The food is always good, dine in or togo.
