I am a fan of artistic expression...such as Vegas' own The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, Myron's Cabaret Jazz At The Smith Center, Super Summer Theater at Spring Ranch. I can now add one more to my list, Super Summer Theatre Studio.Four of us got tickets to go see "First Date" the musical! Parking was super quick and easy, as well as finding the entrance. There was a gentleman to check the tickets and a lady ushered us in. It is a black box theater along with being general admission so I encourage you come early to get the best view.It is a small space but the performers use it like a limitless space...props to the stage crew for working with the space they have. However, I personally enjoyed the smaller theater because it gave more of an intimate experience and allowed us to indulge into every small detail. The show was just an absolutely amazing first experience I had here.Their shows sold out pretty quick...so go to their website and reserve your and your loved ones seats ASAP. Maybe I will see you there.

About four years ago, the Super Summer Theatre board got this space in an office building on South Valley View not far from the Palms/Gold Coast. There are two studios that are used for rehearsals for the summer shows and Spring Mountain Ranch. The interesting part of this is the one studio is designed in the exact footprint--except for depth--as the stage at the ranch. That way, sets built here can be taken to the ranch and everything fits. In addition, directors can do the show's blocking and it doesn't have to be redone for the ranch. During the late spring and summer. Shows move from one studio to the other and then move out to move into the ranch. Quite a good setup. For two years, the summer theatre has had an off season where three plays are mounted. I went to see Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. They're also doing the Fantasticks and Suddenly Last Summer in this off season. The facility is very pleasant. The theatre is intimate and very comfortable. There are seven rows of seats--three on the floor and four on risers. There are restrooms and snacks and drinks are sold at a very reasonable rate. There is ample parking. One thing, if you've never been here, look for someone with a flashlight with a red plastic tip to find the driveway. From there, you can circle the office building to get to parking. Now that I know where it is, I'll be a regular. I have to be. I have my tickets for the other two shows.Give it a try for some good theatre.

It was supposed to be a pleasant date night for me and my husband. We booked a babysitter for our baby and were looking forward to enjoy a play that was playing in super summer studio which we purchased the tickets online. On arrival, we were told that me and my husband will not be able to sit together (what??) for the hour and a half play! One person on the right side and the other 15 feet away which is obviously unacceptable. We asked to speak to the supervisor and demand our refund. she was completely arrogant, telling us it is what it is and she brushed us off and gave us her business card. Couple days later we emailed her regarding getting our money back and once again, she completely dismissed it. Can you believe it??Thanks for wasting our time, babysitting costs and now we had to option a dispute through our credit card company.Save yourself the hustle. This is just not a theater and as you can see you might not even have sits when you get there. It's a room, not a theater!

This a mini review of both the facility and the show. Bill Fayne was the director of the Fantasticks which was recently staged in the facility. As Norm mentioned, the theater is very small so every seat has a good view of the stage. There was little in the way of production value, but not much was required because the cast was very professional. It took little time before I became completely immersed in the music and story. I look forward to returning.

Adorable little theater! No a bad seat in this house! Characters well played, scripts are just the right amount of length & time! Tip: Bring small changes ($1 and $5's) as the have a small table with snacks. Absolutely recommend for date night!
