This is an old-school mom-and-pop Cantonese bakery. During our brief visit, we tried the wife cake (老婆餅), lotus seed paste cake (蓮蓉酥), and mung bean cake (綠豆酥). Each of these three pastries were $3. I have incredible appreciation for these old school pastries and I particularly enjoyed the wife and mung bean cakes. They were soft and flakey. I would love to try their buns when I revisit Vegas. It looks like most buns were around $2.25 each.

My husband and I had stopped into Suzuya Café on a Thursday evening. After leaving the Café, we saw Sunville Bakery right next door! Sunville Bakery is located at Chinatown Plaza, South Valley View, and Spring Mountain Road. There is parking, but it can get busy during the evening hours. Current hours are from Monday to Sunday, 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. Sunville Bakery offers Chinese, French, and Italian breads! There are a variety of pastries such as fruit cakes, moon cakes, BBQ Pork Bun, Japanese cheesecake, dinner rolls, Walnut Pound Cake, and so much more!Prices weren't too bad either! Most of the selections ranged between $2.00 - $4.00 each!We ended up getting the followingHot Dog BunPineapple BunSponge CakeChocolate Sponge CakeJoong (Zhongzi) - Rice stuffed with fillings in bamboo leaves.A 10 dollar minimum is required for a credit card order, though! We ended up paying approximately $15.00 for all of the baked goods! The hot dog bun was my favorite. The bread was soft, and the hot dog flavor blended well! The Pineapple Bun wasn't too sweet. The Sponge Cake was soft and fluffy. The chocolate sponge cake was scrumptious, too! My husband enjoyed the Zhongzi! The team member at Sunville Bakery was friendly and helpful! This is a great bakery, and I highly recommend it if you're in the area to stop by!

This is my go to Chinese bakery in Las Vegas. They have the very traditional buns that I grew up in Hong Kong with: pineapple bun 菠蘿包, cocktail bun 鷄尾包, cream bun with shredded coconut 奶油包, ham and egg bun 火腿蛋包, BBQ pork bun 焗义燒包, sausage bun 腸仔包, etc. They all taste delicious and fresh; and prices are the best in Las Vegas compared to similar bakeries.I actually like the fact that they only display one sample of each type. That way other customers don't get their hands on the products. They are individually wrapped but it's still more hygienic if not handled by too many people. The lady at the counter is always nice and courteous and efficient.I am glad I found this bakery.

I've been on a quest to find good baked Chinese pork buns at a local Chinese bakery, and today, my husband and I happened to stop into Sunville Bakery. I was delighted to see that they sold them, and my husband and I decided to purchase two ($2.25 each). The woman who "helped" us answered her phone just as we started our order, never asked us if we wanted them hot or cold (which they do at Diamond Bakery - and I don't even know if they offer them hot at Sunville Bakery), and she never stopped having her personal conversation. She could barely be bothered to ring us up or look at us during the transaction, and then, she not only gave my husband less change than was due (he gave her $20.50 for a $4.50 order, and she gave him $10 back), she wouldn't respond as he tried to get her attention to correct the error. It really made us feel unwelcome. When we got home, I heated the pork buns (on a Silpat at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes), and we had what were the best pork buns I've had in Las Vegas. The dough was pillowy, and the roasted pork was delicious. They reminded me of the pork buns I've gotten in Chinatown in New York City. After the rude service in the store, I really wanted to dislike the product, but I couldn't. Food: 5 out of 5 starsService: 1 out of 5 stars

We absolutely love the fresh mango cake. We've been coming back for the past 12 yrs. It's always a hit with our family and friends. The cake is moist and the sweetness isn't overly powering. We've tried the fresh fruit cake as well during the winter and it was enjoyable. The daily pastries are just as good.
