Stray Pirate - Tropical Cocktails and Effects

I got here a little early, before the crowds showed up, soI got to experience every nook and cranny of this place. Iloved how they paid attention to details to make this place look so cool.My favorite is the scene behind the bar, The whole theme of this place is that we are in a sunken ship. I was amused watching the turtle and shark swim from one side of the 'sunken ship' (the bar) to the other side, where you can see the turtle, shark and fishes swim about. I'm a Goonie nerd so naturally, I ordered the Goonies Never Say Die drink. It was very tasty and satisfying. I highly recommend.

A true escape from a concrete jungle. The atmosphere surpassed my expectations. The drinks are great and the staff is wonderful!I won't give too much away as you should really come and experience it yourself.Our hotel was in the Fremont area. It was super easy getting here. $15 Lyft ride. Then we decided to walk back the 1 mile as the weather outside was beautiful and the sun had not set yet. It was a super easy walk down Main Street the entire way.

Stray pirate is a fun dog pirate themed tiki bar. I was a little bummed their drinks didn't come in tiki glasses but the decor made up for itI loved the "portals" they had all around the bar to see life under water. The drinks were strong as time drinks should be.

For a theme bar, you'll definitely have a great time especially for the area and the vibes that Downtown Las Vegas is going for. Drinks are high shelf and refined, plus their menu is very smart and funny and really tasty. Their bartenders know their drinks so if you're looking for recommendations, ask them and they will give you a great drink. Every spot is Instagram picture worthy, even the bathrooms LOL I'm also very pleased they have Tanduay which to me is a very special and rare liquor to find.

So glad we stumbled upon this bar! I'd highly recommend arriving early as it can get pretty busy, but don't worry if you don't. People are in and out so just make sure to be on the lookout for a spot to open up. The bartenders were friendly and quick. Even though it was so busy on a Saturday night, we never felt like we had to wait long to get a drink. The place & decor is so cute with an aquatic/submarine feel & look to it. The drinks were amazing! So many great options it's hard to pick. Like other tiki bars, they're rated on how strong they are! We will definitely be back to try more of their drinks!

Beautiful execution of high end tiki theme In the Arts District. You will love the animation aquariums. They also carry great merch. When I went in November, I ordered some type of corn nuts popcorn, skip this popcorn. Our table ordered about 7 drinks. My fav was a mezcal tiki drink. This is located a busy street in the Arts District. A worthy immersive tiki bar.

This place is so cool. While it may be oversold as a Pirate themed bar (and to be fair, my definition of a "theme bar" carries much higher standards than most), this is an absolute gem of a new addition to the downtown Vegas Arts District. I came here with some friends on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We were able to get a corner table fairly quickly. The menu has all the classics as well as some fun tropical cocktails with unusual ingredients and combinations. I normally don't do fancy pants drinks, but the server raved about their "Get It Kraken" cocktail so I ordered that (it is DELICIOUS). The drinks are large and strong, and fairly priced for Las Vegas: expect $15 - $18 per cocktail before tip. This isn't a touristy place and is more for locals, but visitors would absolutely be welcomed with open arms. They are open seven days a week from mid-afternoon until midnight, and they stay open until 1 am on Friday and Saturday nights! They try to bill themselves as a "dive bar," but it's really not. There's a fun pirate and salty dog theme that carries the nautical inspirations just far enough without crossing the line into desperate cheesiness. The atmosphere is lively but relaxed. This is a place to have fun, not one where you have to dress to impress. If you're bar hopping or want a unique place to grab a drink, I highly recommend Stray Pirate! Great staff, fun drinks, ridiculously enjoyable theme decor makes for a win-win-win!

A must when in Vegas great bar made by Bamboo Ben with a great Tiki Vibe. I mean where do pirates have a drink. Craft Cocktails. Open a little over a year the 2 bartenders and waitress are good care of all. The moving underwater screens are fun to watch. #Tikitriathlon continues
