Square Shabu

I really enjoyed this place. We were a party of 3 and arrived for late lunch around 2:30pm. I think like most AYCE, everyone has to order from the same AYCE menu. We decided to go with the lunch AYCE for $27.99. This is a smaller menu than regular AYCE for dinner, but I thought this menu was fantastic and still included a great variety of food!The lunch menu includes a variety of beef, pork, and lamb. They have a wonderful bar with plenty of vegetables and mushrooms as well as a great variety of sauces and noodles on the other side. Now I've been to other shabu / hot pot places. I think some of the other places are a bit excessive with the amount of offerings, and I think this place had the perfect amount of offerings. I got the tonkatsu broth, which was very flavorful and creamy. From the appetizers, the mushroom skewers were my favorite. It's lightly battered with tempura (I think) and has a sweet and salty taste to it. I can't remember how many I ordered because it was so good. We tried all the meats and all were delicious, except the pork. The pork was just okay. I think it's because it was very lean. The beef and lamb were fantastic though. For dessert, we had mini fried buns, which came with two per person. You can also get other desserts that are not included such as ice cream for $1.99. I thought the mini buns were okay. It comes drizzled with condensed milk. It was a bit too sweet in my opinion. For the sauces, I had the peanut, chili oil, and their house special soy sauce. Service was fast and friendly. It was hardly busy when we arrived for late lunch. I would love to come back again for their dinner menu.

Found this new restaurant near a dim sum place we frequented before. I don't do hot pots very often other than at a home setting. This restaurant is a good way to do hot pot without all the work a prep.What's most important for a good hotpot is having lamb, it's the perfect meat because lamb is fatty er than other meats due to the other meats seem to have a dryer texture when used in hotpot.This restaurant is reasonably priced and the ingredients are pretty top notch. They don't have a huge variety of vegetables but napa cabbage is sufficient enough.

Went in for lunch with a party of 6 on Saturday afternoon and had an amazing experience. Let me just say this, it is so nice to have this gem of AYCE hotpot in Summerlin! The location is easy to find with ample parking up front. My friend made our reservation for 1pm, however we were running a little behind (shocker lol), the team was understanding and still held our table for us. As we were seated, we noticed that each person would get their own individual burner + pot! A total win for convenience instead of needing to split a pot and potentially spilling your soup as you transfer your food. The variety of broths were amazing, something on the list for everyone! I opted for the Specialty Spicy and my boyfriend opted for Sukiyaki, he said it was one of the best sukiyaki broth's he's ever had! The spicy for me was perfect, the right amount of heat without feeling sweat beads rolling down your head or tongue going numb, mixed with the perfect flavor.There are two menu options, deluxe or premium, of course our party opted for the premium, especially after seeing the seafood option! Meat selection was nice and fresh, and was even cut to order! You order your meats and select appetizers from the servers, but they have their veggie, sauce and noodle bar off to the side for your own DIY enjoyment. It started to get a little busy as we were leaving a couple of hours later, with happy tummies and the excitement to recommend Square Shabu to everyone!

Came here with my girlfriend and was not disappointed! Really enjoyed the clean minimalistic decor, great service, and high quality selection of meats, appetizers, and skewers! We tried the tonkotsu and house spicy soup and thought both were delicious! We also tried the chicken, eggplant, mushrooms, and tofu skewers and all of them were bomb. They were lightly fried and drizzled with a nice glaze. The meats were all tasty, vegetables were fresh, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with explaining the menu. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're craving some bomb Shabu!

Really enjoyed the experience here. This is my favorite hotpot/Shabu spot in town. There's a really wonderful selection of meats and veggies and sauces. Broths are good and the biggest thing is individual hot pots. Riley is a wonderful and pleasant server and always made sure we were ok. Whiskey/Bourbon lovers I got to try some Stagg here for the first time. There's some pretty cool bottles here and the owner Gavin here seems to be a connoisseur! Thank you for a wonderful meal and allowing me to try some really good whiskey. Will be back soon

So elated to have tried a new shabu restaurant that is so close to our house! We were craving for hot soup on a cold fall night. My hubby & I took our boy toddler for family dinner outing. The staffs were very polite & efficient. The inside was clean & modern. They also have a little self-serve station with a myriad of noodles (including instant ramen); Chinese hot pot sauces, fresh herbs, etc.The menu was on a smaller scale with a ton of beef cuts, and two seafood options (shrimp & squid). We paid $32 per adult for AYCE. We didn't order any seafood since we have to be vigilant about our cholesterol levels. They offered a few appetizers, as well as skewers. We ordered the spiral potato skewer, edamame & gyoza for our son. We also gave him some of our ramen noodle, which he loved.I really liked the tofu skewer & fish ball skewer too. Everything tasted fresh & delicious. We will take my parents with us on a future visit.

Pros: Food was great and service was awesome, lots of interesting appetizers to try. Cons: Wish they had quail eggs and crown daisy on the menu and maybe more pictures of veggies so we know what we're ordering. Yes, there are items we don't know what they were. Price is a bit on the higher side. The soup base they refill with seemed like it was just water as it had no flavor so we just added more sauce from the sauce station.

Wanted to share a hot pot experience with family and stopped by this new hot pot spot in Summerlin during our visit to Vegas. It was fairly quiet and not at all crowded. Felt very intimate and staff were kind in explaining the process. We went for the premium option since we all love seafood. Many options to choose from. Cooking your own soup was simply an experience in itself. If you've never tried, I highly recommend it. Multiple add on spices and types of noodles to choose from too. I enjoyed it greatly and would return. My only recommendation would be to improve the dessert options. We all opted for the ice cream but it's a small store bought single scoop cup and we expected perhaps a better presentation of the dessert. Other than that, staff are excellent at taking plates out of the way and coming around consistently to see if anything else is needed.

We had this place twice already! Yes its good. Yes the food are fresh! The owners are friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable. Its a small place inside but it can accommodate and the atmosphere is clean and cozy with modern flare. There is two menus. Ayce with a clean fresh self serve bar. We came in as two and four. And we came out full of food coma! Sorry adding tonight this is the third time! Heading in right now.

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. The meat was sliced perfectly thin and was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The broth was flavorful.Our server was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is bright and clean. We can't wait to come back!
