Where else in Vegas can you get a hotdog for $1.50? This little stand is located off the Sportsbook in South Point. The staff is friendly and keeps the line moving, so don't be discouraged if you see a line. There is a limit of 3 hotdogs per customer, but do you really need more than 3?. They have all the toppings ketchup, onions, relish, mustard and sauerkraut. Taste was as a hotdog should taste, nothing more and nothing less.. it's a great option when in the casino and looking for something quick.

$1.50 for a superb hotdog that can be loaded up at no additional cost is fantastic. There is a limit of 3 hotdogs per person and is cash only. Such a great spot there is almost always a line.

The Old Vegas shines in the South Point. The South Point is far beyond not only being the only locals casino resort (that I know of) that currently provides the Las Vegas staple of a really good buffet at a solid price, and one of the few casino resorts offering a good 24 Hour Coffee Shop with solid prices, it also serves Vienna Beef Hot Dogs steamed in Budweiser from a hot dog cart. At $1.50 each. I cherish the Old Vegas. That is why I have been to a shrine of the Old Las Vegas that is the South Point around forty times this past year. Most of these visits were for their Garden Buffet. However, on a recent weekday morning, I was running errands in the area and was up to something far less filling than their Garden Buffet. How about the South Point Hot Dog Cart? When I passed by the sports book on my several visits, I saw this hot dog cart. Obviously after eating like a King in a buffet, the last thing I needed to do was eat a hot dog. What I did not see was its history. It dates back to 1979 when the current South Point owner Michael Gaughan began selling hot dogs in his late Barbory Coast Casino. The hot dogs gained such a tremendous reputation that they turned into a Las Vegas legend that followed Michael Gaughan from the Barbory Coast to the South Point. Taking into consideration that I have been to the South Point several times it was easy for me to find the hot dog cart. If you are unfamiliar with its location, here is how to find it. When you walk in the South Point from the main Las Vegas Boulevard-facing entrance, you will make a left at the Starbucks then proceed past Katie's Corner, and continue forward until you see the sports book at the left. The cart will be on the right. When I arrived it was not busy. Still the sign said there is a three hot dog limit. I ordered two Vienna Beef hot dogs at $1.50 each. Upon ordering the hot dogs, the server asked me what toppings I wanted. The toppings include sauerkraut, onions, pickle relish, mustard, and ketchup. I chose everything but ketsup. At this hot dog cart, there was no immediate place to sit. I carried my two Vienna Beef hot dogs to the sports book area where I sat at an empty table in the Del Marr Deli. This hot dog cart does not sell beverages. This leads into a review discussion of how they compare to the Sam's Club $1.50 hot dog Deal. When I compare the two hot dog deals, Sam's Club beat this one on "value", owing to the fact that it includes a large bottomless beverage. Then again, at Sam's Club you are forbidden to enjoy eating a hot dog with an adult beverage. Now if I was up to it, I could have carried them to one of the South Point bars to enjoy with a cold one. Now, on the other side of the coin, The South Point Hot Dog Cart beats the Sam's Club hot dog deal on "taste." The two Vienna Beef hot dogs that I ate into disappearance were delicious. The generous serving of toppings elevated the flavor. In hindsight maybe, I should of ordered three. And the price would still come out to less than $5. I really enjoyed eating the two Vienna Beef hot dogs. I could see myself returning here to enjoy a hot dog or three from this legendary hot dog cart that dates back to 1979. This business is a shining example of why I love the Old Las Vegas.

For the price, this is a good hot dog. The bun could use some work. It wasn't very fresh. The hot dog itself was hot and fresh. You were able to choose from ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, onions, and relish.

Had these hot dogs literally twice this week!!! They are literally the best hot dogs ever!!These hot dogs hold a special place in my heart. I used to live across the street and walk to the south point for these when they were 75 cents! I had to drive to the south point just for these this week! I don't gamble I grabbed these and was in and out!! The line never takes long which is a major plus!! Was definitely worth the drive!t

I don't know any these simple hot dogs are so good, but they are...: Seriously it's just a hot dog. Price is absolutely right. $1.50 each. But something about them.... Choice of toppings... ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, onions, pickle relish. If you hate them (why would you order a hot dog if you hate hot dogs).... It's still only $1.50 so you really can't go wrong.
