This was my first visit to "Soul Belly BBQ". I arrived for late lunch.Eating in those hours well after lunch, but before dinner, is interesting. Often staffing is light, as was the case here. In spite of having to perform multiple tasks, the bartender / server was hospitable and a bit sassy, in an entertaining way.On this occasion, I ordered the one meat combo ($18.00). This set offers you one meat from the pit, one side, and a slice of white bread. There is a $2.00 upcharge if you select the brisket. With a beer ($8.00) and tax ($2.35), my ticket was 30.35 before gratuity. When ordering the brisket, the server asked if I wanted slices from the lean or fatty portion of the brisket--or a mix. I chose the mix.I do not use sauce on BBQ. I like to taste the smoke and rub; I also like to see the bark. Although the brisket was good, I must say that I have had better. I enjoyed the fattier slices of brisket better, as it was moister and had a better mouth feel. The slices of lean beef were not dry but were on the verge of becoming dry. In both cases, the meat was tender. The side dish I selected was the mac & cheese, with Parmesan and Chicharrón crumbs on top. The mac & cheese was very good; and the Chicharrón crumble added an extra texture to the dish.I will visit this restaurant again. There are other proteins from the pit, and meals, to try. And in spite of my comments above, each piece of beef can be different.BTW ... This establishment offers live music. Visit the soulbellybbq*com website to see who is performing, and performance schedules.

Just want to previse this review stating that I've been to Houston TX and the surrounding areas and tried real authentic Texas BBQ...And with that being said, this is not it to an extent. It's a really good replica but does not quite reach the bar. Let me start with the good first though:1. The service was excellent, I wish I could remember the waitresses name, but she was very nice and took the time to explain everything we wanted to know. The staff is excellent.2. The mac and cheese and corn bread were very good; we order more of both.3. The ambiance was really nice as well; it was very fitting for a good bbq joint. You feel very comfortable when eating inside. Now the bad:1. The brisket was a little dry, unless you're eating the fatty end, it missed the mark. The flavor also just was not really there, maybe we just got slices with very little bark/flavor.2. The sausage was extremely smokey. We honestly could not finish eating all the sausage because the smoke flavor was too overwhelming.3. The price. "Holy cow" was it ridiculous. I don't care if managers say, "it's market value", they are full of it. For what we ordered, it came out to around $92 for TWO of us. For that amount of food in Texas would be $35+ less.Honestly, is it the best Texas bbq here in Vegas, probably not. Is it better than a lot of other places claiming to be the best? Yes. Take this review with a grain of salt, I'm not trying to upset anyone or claim I'm some impressive food critic. I honestly think I was ruined to Texas bbq here in Vegas after eating actual Texas bbq over there.

Our family of four visited on a Thursday for lunch. We shared the half-pound Texas brisket, spicy pork and cheddar hot link, half-pound of St. Louis ribs, and wedge fries. Flavors were bold and vibrant. Meat was juicy and tender. One particular thing to note is the wedge fries - we requested it without the usual spice because our young daughters would've considered it "spicy." The kitchen gladly omitted the spices for us. These are huge potato wedges that were incredibly crispy. Our firstborn quipped, "I was initially skeptical and didn't think I would like it but after a bite, I think this is one of the best 'fries' that I've ever had."

The smell of the wood smoked meats Drew our party of 4 onto this amply spaced indoor and outdoor eatery, outfitted with numerous long picnic tables for large groups and perfect for celebrating events. In spite of the winds the late afternoon lunch we ate here, the outdoor heater was more than enough to keep up comfortable. Our food arrived quickly following orders, and the bbq sauce options (3) was a nice touch. The star of the show was certainly the potato wedge brisket fries with the fattier piece of half pound brisket paired with the pickle winning close second. I noticed they had an instruments set up inside. I'm sure this would be a sweet spot to post up for a lax evening with friends / coworkers. Definitely worth a visit!

Our party stumbled upon Soulbelly BBQ quite on accident. And, I'm glad we did. Of course, the brisket alone is worthy of repeated visits, but I have to tell you the cheddar sausage was the best I've ever had. The service was very helpful. If eating on the patio or at one of the next door breweries that doesn't serve food, you can get your food to go quite easily.

After walking around an open air market across the street from Soulbelly, my wife and I decided to grab a late lunch to enjoy some BBQ. Overall, we were not disappointed at all! From the moment we walked in through the wood fence, we were greeted by a fenced off area where a gentleman was smoking the meats. You could smell the delicious flavors, and I hoped we had found the right place. We asked to be seated outside, as it was a beautiful day and sitting inside just didn't appeal to us. We were seated at a bench table, partially in the shade, where we could watch the gentleman work as he cooked the meats. I got a combo with 1 meat, 1 side, and a soft drink, and my wife ordered half pound of turkey, half pound of ribs, and a large mac & cheese. Everything was really good, though I felt that my brisket was a bit over salted. The brussels sprouts were delicious, the mac & cheese was creamy and flavorful, the turkey wasn't dry, and my wife said the ribs were delicious (I didn't try them). It was a really tasty meal!! Service was also pretty good - our waitress checked on us a few times, though I wish she had refilled our waters. Not a big deal since my meal also came with a soft drink, but given how salty my brisket was, some more water would have been nice. I'm not sure how it is inside, but outside was nice. It was loud, but it also didn't feel hectic or busy. It was a nice spot for us to people watch & dog watch those walking around the Arts District. Overall, this was tasty and a good experience! I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area!

First time here. We had reservations for 8pm. We arrived early and seated promptly. It took a little over 5 min before someone came to our table and gave us water. We ordered the half lb of following meat: Brisket, Carolina Pulled Pork, Hatch Chile & Cheddar Pork Hot Link. Brisket had good flavor and very tender. The pulled pork was flavorful and smoked just right and went well with Carolina red sauce. The hot link was also flavorful but borderline almost too much smoked. The com bread with whipped honey butter was amazing !!!The mac & cheese with parmesan chicharron crumbs was also great. Server checked on us regularly. No issue noted but nothing extraordinary either. Ambience - definitely casual, beer-garden type of atmosphere, mostly communal seating, seats can be uncomfortable. Live music on the weekend. Outdoor patio seating available. Prices of food and drink ate reasonable; good-sized food portions. Accepts reservationLocated in Art District - several options for paid parking. We will return to this place.

I've walked by this place a million times while shopping in the area. Decided that was going to be the day we tried it. We ordered our favorite foods: brisket, Mac and cheese, fried Mac and cheese balls, spiced fries (potato wedges), cheesecake and lemonade. I love BBQ and everything was good, but there are some really great places in Vegas. The flavors were good, nothing lacked, just not my favorite. People were friendly, can choose to eat inside or outside. Started to get busier the later it got on a Saturday night, probably for the live music. Meal was roughly $80 for the two of us. They offer military discount with ID.
