For $32 and some change I got broth and five pieces of little ass pieces of beef and a piece of Fufu and I paid for an extra fufu. I was so hungry. Ill never eat at this place again. This was the most pathetic plate of food for my money I have ever gotten from any place I've ordered . The gravy was literally like water with a fishy smell.

African food is known for their spices, herbs, and deliciousness. The first time walking into the place, ( The Soul of Afrika), I was excited because of this hype on social media. However, I should've known better because I couldn't smell no food cooking. I'm not new to Authentic African cooking/ food. My family is African, I was raised on this food. When I walked in I had an instinctive conversation with the worker before placing my order. We talked about all different kind of African Cuisine, and so on. So feeling confident I ordered the Egusi soup and the Chicken stew with jollof rice . The Egusi soup was cold and unimpressive! When I say unimpressive, I mean no full flavor of the African culture. I stuck my fingers in the soup to confirm the temperature to the meat that came out of the same soup bowl , the meat was hot and the soup was cold... The soup was frozen and warmed up , and you can tell. It was also watered down with no flavor like they just got it out the freezer to warm up. It was indescribably terrible and the rice on the stew rice taste so bland and horrible , no seasoning at all.... just straight habanero peppers, rice, and 2 drumsticks for $25. Assorted meat Egusi soup $30.99Tab came out to $60 for straight crap!!!!! I'm so mad that I even went to this place. One thing that everyone know is , African people have pride in the food and culture, especially their herbs and spices which is called the trinity . When you add the trinity , it comes together with the aroma before you walk through the door ( which I smelled nothing). I was so disappointed, I'll never refer this place to no one....

If you've stumbled upon this review and looked at their google review, you'll notice a drastic difference. The Google reviews for this business are all mostly fake. I knew the moment I stepped in I should have walked out because there was no one in the restaurant and staff just texting on the phone. The restaurant is also a bit sketchy as it's set inside what looks like a nightclub. The food was extremely expensive and luckily I walked out before the food came and we cancelled our order. I think instead of paying for fake reviews why not make an effort to improve the food, the setting of the restaurant, make it more inviting. There was literally no one there at dinner time which was a huge red flag.

I am so happy I ignored the reviews! I had a major African food craving, I've tried a few places out here, and it wasn't that good. I came across Soul of Afrika on postmates, came to Yelp to see the reviews and remembered, I've seen some of the reviews before but never ordered. Well today was the day. I ordered joloff rice with chicken, goat pepper soup, fufu & plantains. My food arrived quick and hot ! Everything was well cooked, flavorful and also, good portions for the price.

I'm gonna be honest, I had my eye on this place for a long while but I never got the chance to actually eat here. Currently they are going through some renovations but I tried some egusi soup with oxtail and fell in love with it all right away. Amazing service, it wasn't that busy but I do think with a little more ambiance it'll definitely pick up. It's got potential for great things and I'm excited to visit again!

Second time going here, one of my favorite places in Las Vegas for fufu. The prices were so reasonable, a table for too with two dishes was only 25 dollars! Thats great for Vegas! Highly recommend for good food and the lady in the front was nice.

My friend and I were in Las Vegas, and while she was familiar with the city, it was my first time there. One of her top recommendations was this place, and it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional, and the lady at the reception was wonderful! I would definitely recommend coming back here!

Tried this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I've already been back 4 times! Their oxtail stew is unmatched as well as their chicken stew. Their scotch eggs and fufu is also amazing!! I like this place way better than Calabash. This is my new favorite go to spot for African food. The food portions could be a bit better for the price, but the flavor makes it worth it!
