First off, expect fast in and fast out. It's busy so sometimes you wait a bit and that's fine. It's Dim Sum so it's like fast street food. Don't come in here expecting 5 star service and a napkin placed on your lap. If you want great tasting Dim Sum, quick service without fluff...this is your place. WeLoved the soup dumplings, the Angus Beef noodle soup, egg fried rice and the pan fried dumplings...all excellent. Good Chinese decor, the place is neat and if you have a big party for the family or friends there is a huge table with a classic Lazy Susan for dining convenience. Again don't expect a lot here since the dining is so fast. But at least with our experience, our servers were both accommodating, fast and friendly. Great food, fast service, no drama. I love it.

A nice alternative to the well known Din Tai Fung which still has the name recognition and the commensurate wait. Came here on a weekend afternoon and was able to get seated rather quickly. This restaurant is a lot smaller than others and has maybe 6 tables and some counter seating at the "show" window. You can watch your food being made. The portion sizes here are smaller, as are the prices so you can try more things. Would not recommend the onion pancakes are they are very greasy and maybe half the size of a typical order elsewhere. The XLB has good flavor and a ton of soup, with slightly thicker wrappers compared to DTF.If there is not a long wait and you just want to get fed and in/out quickly, this is the place for you. If you are used to DTF, then you'll end up spending the same or more to be full. With the tons of good options in the area, this is a solid option, though not a standout.

If you're in Vegas, do yourself a favor and head to Chinatown--specifically here! This spot serves real, authentic Chinese food, and let me tell you, it was delicious.I ordered the pork ribs, and OMG, I could have eaten a million of them. The sauce was thick, sweet, and absolutely perfect. I also tried the duck--not usually my thing, but I wanted to branch out. The flavor was solid, just not my personal favorite. Now, the steak soup dumplings? Next. Level. My husband and I were literally fighting over the last one. They were that good. The restaurant even has a small bar area where you can sit and watch the chefs in action, which was super fun to see. Overall, this place is an absolute must-visit if you're in Vegas and craving amazing Chinese food!

A little getaway with my love to Vegas and of course we had to do a little dine around in Chinatown and after exploring Shanghai Plaza on my last visit, I got excited when we had the opportunity to go back again, but this time with somebody else to enjoy the food.Shanghai taste was stopped too, and we couldn't help but be drawn in by the open kitchen with windows so you could watch them making the XLB soup dumplings right before your eyes but truth be told we didn't order any of those and instead went for a few more traditional Shanghai dishes, like the curry beef rice noodle soup And the stir fried rice cakes. The star of the show had to be the cold bean curd noodles and housemaid scallion oil, though! This is something super simple but so delicious and what a great addition to a meal of hot dishes here.Everything we enjoyed here was so good and we got to hang out at the little bar so we watched the make dumplings for the entire time we were there. Service was on point making sure we had water and tea and also taken care of our check for a swiftly Portions were good size too and we had plenty to take home for a little snack later. They also use a yelp waitlist so you can jump on it from the app or from the kiosk when you walk up but expect for a little weight during peak hours. They do a great job of getting you in fast. I also recommend going with a group because you will want to order everything!

We came on a Friday night and had a group of 7 and waited only about 20 minutes. The restaurant is pretty small inside but glad they were able to accommodate us.My favorite item was the crispy pan friend soup dumplings - so juicy with the soup inside but crispy on the outside. I also liked the scallion pancakes a lot. Overall everything we tried was pretty good and sizes were good for family style sharing.

After seeing disappointing reviews from a viral dim sum spot, I thought I'd look for alternative recommendations. ShangHai Taste was really popular in the comment section of the post, and I knew I had to give it a shot. For about $80, 3 of us enjoyed a comfortable lunch. We sipped our complimentary tea with Traditional Xiao Long Bao, Spicy Wonton, Scallion Pancake, and ShangHai Pork Ribs. The highlight for me was definitely the Spicy Wonton. Not too soupy, nor too spicy. I actually added chili paste.ShangHai Taste is small and I imagine it gets a good wait on the weekends, but it is tasty, fresh, and VERY quick. It is more pricy than something like Orchid's Garden, but worth it. There is a good reason they have been featured many times on TVs and articles. Must try in Vegas.

This is my go to for XLB and quick eats of rice cakes, fried dumplings. Went light and just got a few dishes. Good in and out service. The staff gives you a menu to check off what you want so by the time you sit down, you wait for just a few mins and your food is presented hot, fresh and steamy! Yum!
