Rocco's NY Pizzeria

The service here is utterly horrible! Came in to get a slice, was next in line and some dude comes in after me and gets his order. The lack of acknowledgment and customer service at the register from the person who takes your orders is ridiculous.Why are you asking whose next when the person whose next is standing right in front of your face? And lately their pizzas haven't really been up to par so not sure why I should keep coming here.Many years ago Rocco's NY was the best pizza joint in the area with excellent customer service but now they've just gone down the toilet. I think this might just be my last time at Rocco's!

Great pizza and garlic knots. We've been coming here for over 7 years. Our pizza bottoms have been burnt have a few times but they have always remade the pizza. I guess that oven can get too hot sometimes. The pizza is thin and crispy with great pizza sauce. The garlic knots are very garlicky with delicious marinara sauce. Grabbed takeout tonight and it was very good.

Love this pizza spot! Pizza is always delicious and fresh... I'm not sure how they manage to keep the pizza nice and juicy with perfectly crispy crust but they do it and I'm here for it

I decided to spread out and get pizza in my neighborhood from somewhere different than normal. After checking menus online, Roccos fit the bill. I did an online order for a Sicilian style pizza. To that I added mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage as additional toppings at an additional charge. I made it for 3 pm pickup.I showed up about 3 minutes early. They couldn't find my order in their system. I showed the counter critter my email confirmarion. He went in the back, came back, and asked if he could see confirmation again.During this time, someone looked at the name on a box sitting on top of the oven.. After the critter returned a second time from the back, he checked that box, and, yes, that was my pizza. Not a very auspicious start. They kept the receipt so I have no idea what it said or what the problem was.I brought the pizza home and opened the top of the box. I was a little surprised that I couldn't see any sausage and only a small amount of mushrooms. I removed one of the little tables and put a piece on my plate. After some salt and lots of red pepper flakes, I started to eat the pizza.I learned that their sausage is different from what I've ever had before. Instead of cooked ground sausage, they had small shavings off a cooked link of sausage. A curious change but not nearly enough sausage.The crust was the thickness I like but the center was a bit soft. It could have been baked more.It appears that I have to keep looking for another place to try. This was good but a bit disappointing.

Not all Rocco's in the valley have the same owner so to me, this location is THE BEST! I have often stopped by for a slice of cheese and a take home tiramisu, but I recently tried a take home pasta from the freezer fridge. Grabbing the lasagna ($14.99) it was a good size for two. I also grabbed a tiramisu and 2 loaves of fresh bread. To effectively plan your at home baking, I followed the recommendation of the staff to defrost by letting it sit out on the counter for a good bit. I then put it in the oven and baked at 375-deg for 40 minutes with a "foil tent". Then I took the foil tent off after 40 min so the cheese on top could start to brown. How long you have to bake it depends on how frozen the dish still is - so it's a judgement call.I put the bread I got wrapped in foil in the oven to warm up as well. The result? Wow! Lasagna was delicious!!! So gooood!! Piping hot and mozzarella nicely browned on top. I'm definitely a fan of this take home dish and would get it again! The one thing I will update on is the take home frozen marinara sauce ($9.99) which I have had defrosting slowly in the fridge. More to come - but if you don't mind a take home approach, I would recommend the frozen entrees and goods!

What happened to this place , they used to be so good and now it's gone downhill, 3rd time this has happened, what's going on ? Did the owner change or something? Low on topping bad customer service

Great NY-style pizza and more!I like my pizza thin and crispy. It makes me feel a little less guilty about it as well. A simple cheese pizza that's done really well totally hits the spot.They make pizza, strombolis, salads, pastas, sandwiches, and really delicious and super garlicky knots. The white pizza with lots of ricotta and garlic offers a really great creamy texture, and you can't go wrong with the classic pepperoni or cheese pies. There's two great weekly deals as well. On Mondays you can get a 16" large pizza for only $11.99 and on Tuesdays all pastas and entrees are only $12.99 (seafood excluded). My only issue is that sometimes the pizza gets too dark underneath and it changes the entire flavor profile which I don't dig. Now I always check and ask them not to burn it so don't be shy if your pie gets too dark and you're not into that.*Indoor & outdoor dining is available at this location.

I placed an online order and when I arrived there were no customers in the restaurant and the employee did not seem overwhelmed with orders. My order included french fries (which I saw go into the fryer), so I was happy that they'd be fresh and hot. I received my order and was driving away when I decided to try one of the fries. Sadly, they had been left out of my order. I returned to the restaurant and told the employee that I hadn't gotten my fries and watched him go over to the fryer and remove the basket. By this time they had been soaking in cooking oil for no less than 15 minutes. I guess I should have requested that he remake them or keep them and adjust my bill. Shame on me for not speaking up but more importantly, shame on staff for missing a chance to show great customer service by doing something to improve my experience. This was my second time visiting this restaurant and there is nothing that separates their food quality and taste from their competitors, so I don't think I'll give them a third try. Make sure you check your takeout orders and if it isn't right or doesn't meet your expectations, speak up!!!
