The food was awesome. Always like dining when we visit Las Vegas. We were with good friends. We all enjoyed our entrees and side dishes. Our wait staff was awesome. It wasn't that crowded so it was easy to get a table. The only thing they could change is the garlic bread. Ends are too hard for old people to eat and the sauté mushrooms. The sauce they use doesn't taste good. They should just use garlic and butter. That's why we don't order it anymore. But we had the ahi and crab cakes for appetizers. They were amazing.

Great steakhouse. This was my first visit but won't be my last. Everything we ordered was delicious and made with very good ingredients. The ribeye was tender and parts of it were fatty which I enjoy. Our server was very nice and the lady who was assisting him was great too. Parking is free if you remember to validate your parking ticket before leaving. The only disappointment was that nothing was done for our anniversary and I made a note of it when making the reservation. But the service and food were still very good. We also received a very comfortable booth after the hostess tried seating us in a half booth.

Just a quick update. Wife and I had New Year's Day dinner here, and we enjoyed the special menu offered. Strip loin beef and lobster tail. The meal was pretty good, especially the sides -- risotto and patty-pan squash. The lobster tail was great but the strip loin was too thin and therefore was overcooked despite me ordering it rare. Dessert was red velvet cake and it was delightful!

I love having a fabulous meal the night before leaving vacation. Filet mignon was perfectly juicy medium rare with just a touch of salt on edges Mashed potatoes were amazing - creamy buttery with some chunks just the way I like. Service is always very professional, friendly and prompt. Atmosphere is fine dining but with a casual ambience.

We had our Christmas dinner at Redwood and it was disappointingly. My husband and I order the Christmas dinner that they advertised. We didn't get Honey Pecan Rice or the prawns. We got a Halibut filet with bok choy under it and a sprig of green onions. They also substituted Guava Chiffon Cake, which our server did tell us about. It was a highly disappointing meal. I always enjoy our dinners at Redwood but this time it was truly a disappointment.

This place a gem of a restaurant that should not be overlooked. Situated in the California Hotel, the Redwood Steakhouse offers fine dining without the sticker shock. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but a dinner for two, with an escargot appetizer, two large shareable sides, and two 12 oz lobster tail with tax came out to $189. Anywhere else you would be paying over $200. The escargot was done correctly with lots of garlic and well seasoned. The lobster was cooked to perfection. The baked potato with all the fixings including crispy bacon was huge! The brussel sprouts were amazing! The service is top notch, with elegant surroundings. Our server Donna has an effervescent, bubbly personality. The rest of the staff were also very attentive. This is a must while staying in Vegas, especially if you are in any of the nearby hotels.

Went to Redwood with my husband and we both loved it. A nice restaurant for romantic dinner. My husband made reservation. I recommend to make a reservation because the restaurant looked busy, even on the weekday. All staff were very nice and our date night a very nice one. Donna was our server and she was wonderful, very attentive and sweet. We both had surf and turf (petite fillet and 8oz broiled lobster tail) and mashed potato. Also a red wine, I think it was called Coppola Diamond.Everything was so delicious. Meat was flavorful and tender, lobster tail was juicy (dipping butter was heated with tea candle so it never got hardened nor tasted too oily), and even the mashed potato was delicious too (I don't think I can recreate that delicious flavor at home). It's a nice restaurant with a great service and delicious food.

The Family and I had dinner at Redwood Steakhouse on Thursday night. We took a stroll down Fremont Street and were looking for a place for dinner and the Redwood Steakhouse popped up on Yelp. There are a lot of steakhouses in Vegas. Many of them well known because of their Vegas lineage or their association with a celebrity chef. Neither is the case with the Redwood Steakhouse. The Redwood Steakhouse is located inside the California Hotel and Casino which is located one block down from Fremont Street. We arrived after 7 and didn't have a reservation and were able to get seated right away. The decor is very modern and unpretentious. Not the kind of place you need to get dressed up for which is nice. Especially when it is 107 outside. The menu isn't overwhelming and the prices are very reasonable by Vegas standards. I guess that is why the place has a lot of local regulars who appear to be on the older side. Many of the staff and customers appeared to know each other. One thing on the menu that drew us to the Redwood Steakhouse was the baked escargot with garlic-herb butter. My daughter and I are escargot snobs and to be honest, Redwood Steakhouse's escargot was some of the best we've had. It was rich, buttery and packed with herbaceous goodness. The Mrs. and shared the 22 ounce Rib-Eye which was cooked a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. For our sides the three of us shared the mushrooms that were pan roasted with shallots and parsley and the mac and cheese made with smoked cheddar, blue cheese, and bacon. The mushrooms were not like anything I've had. They were presented in a gravy that was really flavorful. The mac and cheese was REALLY good. The rich butteriness of the blue cheese mixed with the bacon was incredible. Drink prices were very reasonable compared to other places in Vegas. $14 for a Maker's Mark Manhattan and $15 for a Bombay Sapphire Martini. We stayed at the Park MGM and drinks were $20 minimum.Hilario was our waiter and did such an amazing job taking care of us. And not just Hilario but the rest of the staff did a great job taking care of us as well. We wanted for nothing.

We usually dine here every year when in Vegas and they did not disappoint. We ordered the oysters and they were delicious. We also had the 16oz boneless ribeye which was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the shrimp and scallop entree which came on a bed of orzo. The scallops were perfect and delicious. The shrimp was way overcooked but they remedied that making us another couple of shrimps that were very good. The service there is just amazing.

Come hungry, servings are large. Had the smallest size prime rib which was large and tender. Crab cakes as entree. Side order of scallops. Comes with big loaf of bread. Didn't order starch as the baked potato looked very big. Enjoyed the calm atmosphere.
