Rang's Cocina Moderne is a unique Mom & Pop hidden gem type of restaurant located not too far from the strip. They offer an interesting menu of Italian, Spanish, and a little Filipino type dishes. It's modern and beautiful inside. This restaurant recently received the Rising Star Award from the Nevada Restaurant Association. I needed to update my review because I've been here over ten times and the food and service is ALWAYS AMAZING. Your money won't be wasted here. That rarely happens in any restaurant anywhere. Usually even a very fine restaurant will have an off day now and then...Rang herself cooks most of the food served here and it's always perfection. Her husband Benedict does most of the serving and it is always warm, friendly, and helpful.Between us on all our visits we tried not all but the majority of the menu and you won't go wrong with anything. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Parking is easy and close. This is one of my most recommended restaurants.

Please give them a visit and try out their delicious food! It is a mom&pop restaurant where Rang is the chef and her husband is the server. He is so friendly and attentive. Rang also comes out to check on you and make sure all is well & I love that. Their restaurant is clean, and pretty decor. The food was amazing. My favorite was the lengua (cow tongue). Their take on this dish is flavorful and cooked perfectly. I also recommend the meatballs and octopus. The pesto shrimp & aligue pasta was so good! I couldn't stop eating! I'll have to be back to take pictures. :)

Rang's is a hidden gem with inventive menu items. The fusion of Filipino flavors, Spanish tapas, and Italian pasta made this one of the most unique meals I've had in a while. My party and I enjoyed the lengua salpicao (super soft and flavorful), aligue with garlic shrimp, and binagoongang pork belly with coconut risotto. The service was very attentive, and both owners greeted us throughout the meal which made it feel very personalized. The music was fun and the decor felt very inviting. All in all, we had a great experience and highly recommend.

Yumm! My taste buds were doing a happy dance after trying this restaurant. They serve unique dishes with filipino/spanish style foods. My favorite dish was the lengua! Please be adventurous and go try it! The service was great as they kept checking on our table. I can't wait to go back and try more.

We visited for lunch on Friday with a party of 3 adults and a baby and it was an excellent experience. We arrived and were seated right away, as we were the only customers. The owner introduced himself, gave us a run down of the place and took our orders. The house white wine was very good.We started with appetizers: Chorizo Potato Croquettes, Gambas Y Chorizo, Pulpo, and Albondigas. All were outstanding, with the Gambas and Pulpo standing out. From there we went with Pesto with Garlic Shrimp, Mushroom Ravioli, Bistek, and 3-Cheese Garlic Salmon. All were well prepared, plated, and tasty. We received a complimentary Tiramisu for my granddaughter's birthday, which was nice. The service was great, everything was taken care of promptly. The other owner (husband and wife) came out near the end to check on us. She is the chef, great job! Overall, excellent place for fine dining.

For appetizers, we had the Mushroom Soup, and the Smoke Salmon & Goat Cheese. I really enjoyed the Estrella Beer. The Truffle Mushroom & Asparagus Pasta was super yummy! The sauce is amazing and so creamy. The noodles totally absorbed that flavor! And if you're a fan of chorizo, I totally recommend the Chorizo Bolognese. It's got a mild heat to it, but it's like a marriage of chorizo & spaghetti.Even though looks can be deceiving outside, the interior is fancy and modern. Modern jazz music played in the background. The husband and wife duo work well together, the the chef personally came to our table to see how we liked our meal. It is a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it for a gourmet fusion Italian meal. I totally recommend supporting this family business.

It was a night of indulgence for us. After an informal wine tasting, we decided to check out Rang's, an Italian restaurant infused with Filipino influences created by the chef. We read rave reviews about it, and just had to check it out. Glad we went early Tuesday evening so we had an opportunity to engage both the host and the chef who were so friendly and accommodating. When we called to ask if we needed reservation, Benedict, the host, was so frriendly that we immediately liked him. When we entered the restaurant, he greeted me by name, and treated us like we were their valuable regular customers. What a greeting! For starters, we ordered the Caesar salad which was so fresh and tasty --- the dressing was light and subtle, much to my liking. I really hate it when a salad is drowning in dreassing. My partner loved the very creamy ginger/carrot bisque and declared it the best he's ever had. He ordered the sea bass and was delighted to have a very generous serving with coconut rice, sauteed asparagus and a drizzle of delicious coconut sauce. The sea bass is not on the printed menu, but it's proven to be such a favorite that it's always offered. As for me --- I ordered the "binagoongang" pork belly risotto. Pork Binagoongan is a boldly-flavored Filipino dish usually made of tender pork belly with a rich, savory shrimp paste sauce bursting with umami and salty flavors. Typically served with steamed rice, it was so creative to have it with risotto. It was an impressive creation that was quite tasty. We appreciated the tasteful and almost minimalist ambience, along with the lively bossa nova music that evening. Best of all, we liked that the host Benedict and his chef wife Rang came to our table to ask how was our dining experience. Everything was done to perfection. We will surely go back with friends with whom we' like to share this delightful experience.

Menu intrigued me and so I finally made it over to Rang's for lunch. Was greeted instantly and shown to a prepared two-top. Atmosphere: A high-low setting; melamine plates, diner silverware on paper napkins alongside a stark neutral color palette, twisted napkin-shaped light fixtures, plants on black shelves, and sketches depicting Latin scenes. Music was pop-song covers. Food-Mushroom Soup ($9): Fine. Thinner broth type, with the mushrooms shredded rather than sliced. Croutons were good. Lengua Salpicao ($19): Tender slightly chewy cubes, loads of garlic, a touch salty. Presented in a dish which shape (purposely?) resembled its contents in original form, as did the three crostini. Would have preferred more baguette slices to scoop up the sauce and meat, but menu listed $3 for five slices, so abstained. Opera Cake ($9): Very pretty with a good mirror chocolate ganache top. Delicate chocolate and coffee flavor. Can of Sprite was $3. Value: Varies; might seem a trifle high for some menu items, but good for the more unusual offerings. Service: Very friendly.
