Popeye's Famous Fried Chicken and Biscuits

Tried the 5 piece chicken tenders, and a side of mac and cheese meal deal. The tenders were warm, but the mac and cheese was cold and runny with water. The clumps of cheese and overcooked macaroni were disappointing. I do not recommend the mac and cheese. See attached pics.

The salesperson has a very bad habit, speaks disrespectfully, the service is very bad.

Reading about all the craziness and hype going on with people trying to get their hands on Popeyes infamous chicken sandwich I decided I'd never go near a Popeyes, that is until we saw a location inside Nellis Air Force Base. We figured this location is the best and only place to try it and boy were we right. Restaurant was immaculate, the drive thru super fast and employees were so nice. Two choices for chicken sandwich is classic or spicy. We got the classic (reasonably priced I might add at $3.99!) First impression WOW it looks delicious and it's huge. There is a mild sauce and pickles on it. The ends were crispy but had no flavor. The sandwich is good but I felt it lacked flavor... a lot of flavor. I think the spicy one is probably the way to go and will return to try it (at this location only of course!)

I had never tried Popeye's and oh my goodness what I have been missing! Great little meals put together with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits, cole slaw and some sweet tea. All that was missing was the Southern accent (you can do it).Nice thing is that this Nellis AFB location shares a dining room with Burger King so everyone can have what they want. Cheap too!

It's Popeye's, the food is usually good. However don't go at dinner time and expect to get what you want. For some reason they do not prepare for a dinner service, just lunch. Several times I have driven through to pick up dinner on the way home from work and they do not have enough to fill a family meal order. I either have to wait or take whatever they can piece together. Other night I accepted 16 piece spicy, because they had no mild, at 1630! Got home and had a 20 piece with only two breasts and no wings, all dark meat. All dried up, as if they gave me everything that had been under the warming lamp since lunch, all for 35ish dollars. Get it together guys, there are many other places we can choose to eat.

This is the best Popeye's I've been to in Vegas. It's clean, the employees are friendly, and the food is fresh and yummy. My only complaint is that the sweet tea isn't my favorite, but I'm a sweet tea snob. Can't fault them because it's a fast food place away from the South...where sweet tea replaces blood for most of us. I like their $5 meal deals. The employees can really make or break a place for me and they have always been great here.

Here we go again.....another fast food place that strives for sub-par service. Wife wanted to go there on our way home after our trip to the commissary (against my better judgement). We pull up to the drive-through. My wife starts with the order, but before she even can finish her first sentence, the distorted robotic voice states "we're out of white meat". Oh great, now we get a bucket full of meatless legs......friggin' wonderful!For one of the sides, the wife makes the mistake of saying "fries". I'm sorry, the fries aren't done. It'll be three or four additional minutes. Swell. We pull up to the next window to pay, we're told "pull out front, we'll bring out the food when it's ready". I really love it when they say that!Look, if you operate a restaurant, people expect you to actually have food. If you don't.....put up a damn sign so people can go elsewhere to a place that knows how to run a business.

I stopped here to get a quick bite to eat. Popeye's is consistently one of the best fast food chicken around. It is at least one star better than KFC.1. The coating is tastier, I like the spicy2. The coating is crispy. KFC original always comes out soggy. Their extra crispy has little taste except salt3. The people behind the counters seem to be more organized and speedier in delivering food to a long line of customers.

Food is good and the chicken isn't dry, convenient placing too since it's right next to the bx. The line is very rarely long if you get the timing down. My only complaint is when I asked for light ice they gave me a single ice cube

The worst, don't eat here, I've had a few problems here before with not getting what I ordered, but today is the last straw, ordered on app, so wouldn't have to go in, says push button 5 min before you get here, I pushed it sooner before I left the house, it said it would call me when its ready, sat for 15 min and since the app doesn't have a place to cancel was forced to go in, mind you while sitting there people going in and out like crazy it was packed, so I cover my nose and use napkins to open door. I asked about my order and he said oh didn't know you were here, I'll get it now, then 15 more min had to go back in, for the other guy to tell me you have to come in, so what's the point? They are not practicing safe food prep, didnt even want to eat the food, I've been in the house for weeks, finally feel safe until now
