This casino is is alll locals. Very small and intimate. Staff know the regular players and employees seem tight knit group. New players card you get free play money. I turn my $5 of free play money into $15I will try their cafe next time I'm in town.

I have enjoyed cooking for you, as you can see. But I was let go, to say I didn't care anymore about what I put out has me bewildered. If anything I cared to much,having a strong work ethic is something I expect from everyone but rarely ever got. Was I perfect? Hardly, but I always gave 110% sadly it made me stand out leaving me and my mistakes more visible. Therefore my talents will take me elsewhere where I can grow as a chef, where creativity is welcomed.

Great food from the Cafe. Service is good to.my wife and I go there every Sunday for breakfast. The strip steak is always cooked to order

I had breakfast here today and when I finished eating I left the payment on the table. I was accosted by the waitress & a security guard after eating they asked me to pay for the food. It was paid for. Pathetic staff. Bad restaurant. Eat here if you want to be accused of stealing. I will never come to this casino again.

A few miles north of downtown there's a building shaped like a large white castle, only not the kind that sells sliders. It's a local casino called Poker Palace and though not palatial, it is comfortable with a friendly staff, blackjack and poker table games, a few hundred slot machines, Wm. Hill sports book, and a small town diner type of place called Maddy's Cafe with inexpensive steak dinners.The gamblers at Poker Palace are not considered whales and you won't even see $100 black chips at the tables - $25 is the highest denomination. But you will find very personable dealers and pit bosses who welcome all, including the minnows and guppies. Props to Kimmy, Charlie, Lisa, and Angela for their cheerful presence at the table games and I doubt there's an older, rather more experienced, card dealer than Charlie who's beyond 85 and barreling toward 90. The sharp-witted oldster, who claims to have moved out West on a Conestoga wagon, enjoys trading barbs with the gamblers and what a change of pace that is from the wooden-faced, expressionless, can't-wait-till-my-shift-is-over type of card dealer at many casinos. The folks at Poker Palace actually talk to you and have personalities!Minimums are extremely low, some of the lowest in town. It's like stepping into a time warp with the $3 blackjack table (even on nights or weekends) and $8 steak dinners. They're not dry-aged Wagyu, but surprisingly tasty still. The table game area reminds you of a scene from Cheers with the wood flooring and adjacent wooden bar with stools. It's a relatively quiet casino with subdued background music and minor slot machine noise, interrupted by the occasional curse or victory screech. And unlike other casinos, Poker Palace has a sizeable gambling area for non-smokers, with a dedicated entrance from the parking lot even. Great idea, now if they would only ban cigs at the table games...This place opened nearly a half century ago in the 70's and they were smart to put the security guard shack right at the main building entrances overlooking the lot. Visitors can feel safe walking to and from their vehicles, knowing the well-lit parking lot is constantly under vigilance. I always enjoy the gambling atmosphere here and recommend giving it a try."You want to go where everyone knows your name," and Poker Palace is that kind of friendly neighborhood spot.

Maddy's is the only eatery in this casino. This Sunday evening passing by & decided to trytheir Prime rib which they advertise on theirbillboard for $ 11.00. On arriving got seated in a few minutes, a booth was available. On Sundaysthey only have one waitress, one cashier, onedishwasher& one cook. according to our waitress, who was attending to at about 6 tables, herself. The wait was about 15 minutes & the burger with fries arrived, with a side dinnersalad. All was ok there! Their fry's do stand out, fresh, hot, & crispy! Do not order their Prime rib as the cut is horrible & as you can see by this picture, way overcooked & sitting under a warmerway to long.It had to be returned ( which normally you would never do). The reordered one was much of an improvement. Stick to their salads & sandwiches & skip the entrees, much better choices. Don't plan on going back anytime soon!Staff, trying their best to give good service, but can only do so much!

Well went off the beaten path to come and check out this place. Nothing to write home about old-school casino low end tournament I will pass worth a try. On to the next spot.

I had the worst experience on my birthday week. I was trying to get my free food voucher as I am a frequent player at this casino and this lady that is in the poker pit gave me a really hard time. I was waiting patiently and told from another employee that I can go to the poker pit and I would be help here. I was treated with a frown face and negativity by only asking for my food voucher for my birthday. I decided to start recorded her rudeness. This lady is something else. I don't know why she is still employed. I will pray for her and hope that she overcomes whatever difficulties in life she takes out on her regular customers because I have heard I am not the only customer she treated poorly. Even other employees have testified to me that this is an awful person. That is all

absoulte zero, I tried to cash in my check, and the lady told me that it would be open at 8am. I've had to wait 1 hour for them to even start their shift. all they did was joke around, and not even began their process of opening up. don't believe a word these people say. absolute terrible service. Never come here, if you want a good time. Or just to cash the check. The lady at the front gave attitude towards me. All I asked was how long the wait was gonna be since it said that there gonna be open back up at 8:30am. She said" just wait." This place i absoulte terrible.

Place smells like a sewer so eating here is hard enough. Than you have the staff in the restaurant who openly argue where we can hear them, and waitresses who have any attitude when you tell them that you are missing part of the order. We got sat at a dirty table this time; after waiting for 25minutes. Just for them to remove us from that table because we said something about the table being dirty.
