Wow the chicken rendang was really delicious. I could pick out star anise in it and probably cinnamon? It reminds me of a mix between Indian and Asian food. Really nice combination of warming spices, blended really well. The portions are big. It was a lot of chicken and rice and warm cucumbers for $13-$14. The photos are after I'd already eaten a lot of it. The rice was also surprisingly good. It has coconut milk added to it, which makes the glycemic index slightly better -- higher ratio of fat to carbs? It had a nice texture and taste. I liked having the pickled/warmed vegetables along with the meal. The food went really well with a carbonated drink (I had sparkling water at home). I had been eyeing this place for a while. It's a bit out of my way but I got a Doordash coupon and decided to try it. It was surprisingly good. My husband liked it, too. We might make the trip out to the outlet food court now and try more dishes. Glad to have Malaysian food available in Vegas. This seems pretty high-quality, filling, and delicious!

Excellent! I've never had the chance to try Malaysian food, only watched videos. I'm no judge of whether or not it's authentic...but wow, it sure is delicious. The lady who took my order and fast and friendly.Chicken Satay and its peanut sauce pairing was so flavorful. It is slightly small in size but worth every penny. I'd drive 10+ miles just for them.Roti Prata (with Curry) was also very flavorful. The Curry had lots of spices without the spicy. I thought there would be some heat, but I'm not at all disappointed! It had a piece of chicken and big potatoes chunks that were both tender. The Roti Prata itself was soft and buttery. Perfect lunch portion for myself.Iced Barley Drink was to me a nice, balanced drink to have with my meal. I'd rather have this than sweet drinks. The barley was soaked and soft enough to be sucked up through the straw for the most part. However, I wish they came in a bigger cup.Other than this, I'm really looking forward to trying their Kaya Toast, Nasi Lemak, and Beef Rendang!Highly recommend!

Food court in the outlet mall. Chicken satay skewers!! Wow and I'm not a chicken skewer type of eater... probably because it's usually dry. This one is moist and tender!! That sauce is a amazing! Shout out to Anita C (Yelper Vegas) for suggesting this place for Chicken Skewers.Chicken Satay 3 for $6.99. A must!! I can see people visiting for just this! Moist and tender! I'm usually not a chicken skewer person because it's usually dry at places...not this place! The sauce is amazing!Penang Char Kwag Teow, Chicken $13.99. Malaysian verison of a Cantonese Beef Chow Fun. We haven't found a place that makes this decently well (usually a generic common easy dish for LA area). But this place probably is our favorite for it. Not the best but it actually comes out hot, and the taste is way better than so many places in Vegas. Yes, standards are low in Vegas. Nasi Lemark, beef $13.99. Popular dish. Maybe not for us. It was a bit dry but maybe that's how the dish should be? Unsure?Iced Barely Drink $3.99. I really like this because it's so simple but I guess not a common drink for local Vegas to understand. This needs a bigger straw, or maybe spoon for it. We'll be back for the chicken satay skewers!

Excelllent food!! Hainan chicken is the gem! The food is authentic Malaysian even though you wouldn't think it was due to its location inside of an outlet mall. I'm happy because I love this outlet mall. When I first saw it and saw the menu items I was intrigued. After trying like 5 things. Yeah it's worth it.

Super delicious and flavorful food! Don't let the mall food court location steer you away from this place serving up authentic Indonesian food! I was on the hunt for Hainanese chicken rice and a yelp search brought me to this Penang Hawker.Chicken satay 5/55/5 - Super tender and flavorful, with a nice grill flavor and curry sauce for dipping.Nasi Lamak 5/5I chose the beef variation and it was excellent.Very tender beef and rich Indonesian curry flavor and good texture. It comes with a boiled egg, cucumber, and some kind of dried fish and onion side that is sweet, salty, and sticky, similar to a Korean banchan. It all pairs very nicely. They also give plenty of rice to go with the delicious curry sauce.Hainanese Chicken 4.5 / 5Simple but delicious, and exactly what I wanted! Chicken was moist and tender, comes with the flavorful seasoned chicken rice, some green veggies on the bottom, and a tangy chili sauce. The chicken was just little bit bony, and would have been a little more enjoyable if some were removed. Maybe a few more sauce options would be nice too. It's a complete meal, hearty and healthy! The individual restaurant service was great and friendly, and the seating area is just in the general food court area. Overall, everything was excellent. I would definitely come back again to reorder everything or try something new off their menu!

Searched for lunch spots today and came across Penang Hawker Food; located on the north side of the South Premium Outlets. We ordered the Char Kway Teow (with seafood), Hainan Chicken, Kari Mee (curry noodle soup) with tofu, and Malaysian Milk Tea. The Hainan Chicken didn't quite hit the spot. However, the Kari Mee was fantastic - the curry was flavorful and had a good spicy kick to it. Char Kway Teow was also good, though I kinda wish there was a spicy kick to it too. I'd definitely recommend starting with the Kari Mee if you visit. Overall, a solid spot for some Malaysian flavors in the valley! I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes as well.

I didnt realize this was located in the South Premium Outlets, but as we walked in it was located in the first set of cafeteria style food court. I specifically came here for the Roti Prata and additionally got the Thai Roti, here are my thoughts. Roti Prata is one of my favorite snacks, however it was a bit of a let down. The roti was nice and flakey, but the curry was super liquid. It was not a curry, but more of a sipping curry. It definitely needed to be thicker. The Thai Roti was roti covered in condensed milk. The condensed milk made a delish tasty dessert. Loved the sweet one better than the savory. Overall the price was too high for what it was worth. In addition the service was a downfall. They completely forgot about us, and we had to remind them of our order. The overall ambiance is just a mall food court, nothing specific. Overall its an ok place, but unfortunately wont be back.

This is inside the food court. They give a nice portion of chicken meat, and a good amount of rice. The spinach was fresh. The cucumbers were delish. The only changes...- Offer true scallion ginger sauce (only a watery vinegar chili sauce)- Don't drown dish in sweet soy sauce, put into container / make it a sauce (too much of my rice fell into the soy sauce)- Offer chicken broth soup for $3- Maybe improve the quality of the rice, flavorful but dryI would go back, but I would ask them to hold no sweet soy sauce for me.Great to try.

I went yesterday to the outlets just for the food!!! This place was in the corner of the food court by the bathrooms. There were plenty items on the menu, all popular items from a typical Malaysian restaurant. I ordered a bunch of stuff; chicken satay (our most favorite item), fish balls, the roti, hainanese chicken and rice, and the seafood noodles and an ice Malaysian ice tea. Everything was delicious except the fish balls. They were cold and wasn't very appetizing. I even tried dipping it in the curry sauce and it was still meh. The noodles were flavorful and not salty at all. I dogged the chicken really quickly which was a first for me. There were tons of rice left over, next time I'm gonna order extra chicken on the side or something. Also have to ask for the soy sauce to be on the side too bcs they dumped it all on the chicken and the rice soaked a lot of the flavor. The roti was ok, it's not the fresh hand pulled and grilled roti... it was the frozen premade roti pancakes. And the chicken satay is as good as ever. I ordered 2 ordered for me and my nephew and then I ordered another 2 to go. Oh it's just so good. Be prepared to wait a little bit for the food because it's not fast food, they do cook back in the kitchen especially bcs the chicken is grilled so that takes a bit of time. They were also quite busy, here was a good stream of people ordering and stuff. I hope they open another restaurant closer to my house so I don't have to drive so far for chicken satay
