As good as our experience was half a year ago, our Christmas Day dinner was the worst dining experience we have ever had on Christmas. It was so bad that it took about 20 minutes for me to receive an ordered Iced Tea at the outset of our meal; 45 minutes for me to receive my entree beyond the time of ordering it after my two starters were served; and after being at our table for over two hours Diane was never served her ordered entree at all! Twice our server came by to say that Diane's entree was on its way--when it clearly wasn't. Finally, she had had enough, and sought out a manager. This is after we saw all diners at two tables near ours get served their entrees even though they were seated about 30 minutes after we had been. Rather than being aggravated any further, Diane said she no longer wanted the missing entree, and asked for the bill. After waiting and waiting, she had lost her appetite. The bill was quickly delivered by our server, who now said the missing dish was ready. But, again, no food was displayed or produced to support this statement.Complimentary crusty Bread & soft Butter were very good. But this time both tentacles and rings of Calamari Fritti were too chewy, and the chef had too heavy a hand with pepper. Chopped Salad contained only a few strands of salami, and was too lemony tasting even though it was not advertised as having any lemon in it. My Veal Scallopini with artichokes was barely fork tender but generally good. But it was served to me with a skimpy side of Roasted Potatoes that I had ordered, and nothing on a plate for Diane. I asked about the missing entree of seafood in a cream sauce, and the food deliverer professed to know nothing about it but said he would check. Later our server claimed a computer error occurred that caused Diane's order to not reach the kitchen. This was highly suspect, since my entree ordered at the same time as hers in a single order was eventually cooked and served, and later the same server said somewhat inconsistently that the chef was resisting putting the sauce for Diane's ordered dish on the side as Diane had requested. Which was it? To add insult to injury, after I noted in my review covering the last time we were here that our server told us that the restaurant was out of Chocolate Cake that I had looked forward to, a manager responded in writing that this would be made up to us on our next visit. Instead, this time the restaurant did not simply run out of Chocolate Cake. Rather, we were informed that Chocolate Cake had been wholly discontinued, just like penne pasta and triangles of Fried Mozzarella. Whereas the kitchen had been very accommodating on our first visit, this time it was totally unaccommodating, and did not even cook Diane's ordered entree. Thus, we will never dine here again! I rarely give one-star ratings. But this one was well deserved. On our way home from the restaurant I told Diane that I would take her anywhere she wished to eat. But by now it was after 9:00 p.m. and she was very resistant. Finally, she asked for an order of French Fries from McDonald's. So, I drove to one with Golden Arches nearby, and when Diane started eating the large order of Fries in the car, I convinced her to at least let me drive her to one of the few Blueberry Hill restaurants that was open this Christmas Day, for dessert. There she surprised me by adding a comforting Hot Chocolate to her cake order--somewhat fitting I thought for Christmas Day.

To be nice I'll say that Tim or server was friendly and attentive. The charcuterie board was fun BUT the prosciutto was covered in mold. The lighting isn't the best (and I'm getting old lol) so sadly I didn't notice till we were on it last piece. Yikes. The minestrone was average. Not bad but not worth ordering again either. The rigatoni in vodka sauce was horrible. It didn't taste like vodka sauce and it was cold. Definitely won't be going back.

Let me start by saving we having been coming here for years, since it opened in fact. I don't know why I never reviewed it on Yelp before, but it would have gotten 5 stars up until now. Recently they changed the menu. They removed the baked ziti, they no longer have a garden salad, the chopped salad isn't chopped. My mom had the chicken marsala which no longer comes with pasta. They changed that. The waiter, who was amazing by the way, advised "corporate" wants you to pay more so you have to order the pasta a la carte. The chicken in both the marsala and my dish, the vodka rigatoni (yes, rigatoni not penne) was very, very dry. The prices went up and the quality went down. Station casinos, you have lost long time loyal customers. My wife and I used to consider that one of our "date nights", dinner at Pasta Cucina and then a movie. No more because you ruined it. I feel bad for the staff who was getting questions similar to the ones we were asking about the quality of the food. The table across from us ordered desert and instantly regretted getting the tiramisu after just one bite. They said it was "horrible."

You feel like you're outside & in Italy located in Suncoast hotel and casino across from the Galleria Mall. This Italian restaurant seems to be very popular as there was a lot of guests dining and a line when we first arrived, there was a 30 minute wait and if you can make a reservation I would. Our server said all pastas and pizzas are now homemade, and let me tell you, the pasta was delicious!! We definitely will be stopping by again for the delicious food and beautiful ambiance.

As always the good things - we were sat quickly, the fried mozzarella and pasta with Alfredo sauce were tasty and the food runner and beverage attendants were great. The negatives would be the dry as sandpaper, definitely old not fresh chicken in our chicken Alfredo which I had to send back. And the pasta while fresh was also uneven so some pieces were almost too thick to be pasta and were closer to long gnocchi or the ones so thin they were tearing in the bowl when I tried to pick them up. Also our server himself was a bit scattered and we had to flag him down a few times and it took a bit too long to get the manager to comp our chicken protein. Overall I'd call this ok and a good option if you're on the property but I won't go out of my way to come back here.

Need a sit down dinner for some pasta, but casual enough for jeans or a date night? Pasta Cucina will be a good go to then! Usually you don't need a reservation as they have plenty of seating, but they can get busy during peak dinner hours or holidays. Even so, the wait time could be about 20 to 30 minutes. Which isn't bad. So if you do need to make sure you get a seat, then call to make a reservation. So far, everything I have had on their menu is consistently delicious. My favorite is the carbonara. Not made with cream! Thank goodness. Rich and hearty. The Alfredo is creamy and plenty. Dinner does come with a side of bread and butter and it's very fresh. Overall, worth trying once.

01.07.24 marks my third brunch service with Pasta Cucina. Brunch is offered every first Sunday of the month and today they debuted a new menu. Previously the menu had flatbread pizzas. Those have all been removed and replaced with pasta dishes. They've also added a tiramisu waffle dish (pictured) as well as a new breakfast sandwich. I mentioned in my previous review how Chef Jeremy allowed me to try the bacon jam last month which is the star of the new sandwich. I didn't try the sandwich this time around but I will next month. If you've never been to Pasta Cucina it's located in Sunset Station Casino. The restaurant is cozy with a moderate noise level. The restaurant is designed as if you're stirring in a beautiful courtyard with lemon trees all around. The staff is very attentive and always ready to offer suggestions. Each visit with Pasta Cucina I've been approached by the chef asking about my experience and it's lovely they take the feedback. While I personally didn't like new Tiramisu Waffle it's only because I don't like Tiramisu. The cocoa powder is a bit too bitter for my taste and I prefer a savory breakfast. This is why I usually stick with the tried and true short rib Benedict on each visit (even when ordering multiple entrees). The tiramisu waffle dish did have a very nice cream layer which softened the waffles nicely. I can see it being a real hit with other guests. I look forward to their next brunch service which should be on Sunday 02.04.24.

Felt a bit uncomfortable at first, Anna the lady seating us kept staring at my table as if we were doing something wrong then even went as to whispering into the waiters ear. Other than that our waiter Kat was amazing she was so friendly and really brought the vibe back. We got bread but it was so stale and hard to bite, I had to use lots of force when biting it. Food took a while to come. We ordered Chicken alfredo and vodka pasta, the chicken alfredo was not good and very light seasoned the vodka pasta was alright but nothing special. Overall probably would not come back.
