I took the babies there to try out the new water guns and they had a blast!! It's very easy to watch the kids, except the bathroom is a little too far, I had to walk with them. However the waterpark is amazing the kids will love it and for best of all it's FREE!! The criticism I have this is not enough swings,... And the play areas around are small,... But this is the perfect park for a small picnic and let the kids get super wet when it's 100 degrees outside. I went there with the Jaguar with leather seats. I took them right after the gym of course .

A great park in Green Valley Ranch near my house that I have visited many times but have yet to review. My two aunts temporarily rented a house in the gated community adjacent to this park when they moved to Henderson in 2015 (they've since found a permanent home in the Silver Springs neighborhood). With their old house backed up behind the park, I couldn't hear any noise coming from here every time I went to go visit them, which was excellent. My friends and I would come down to Paseo Verde Park to play Pokémon Go on several occasions. This is a park that my boyfriend and I like to go to during our evening walks. It's a little further down from my house, but it's still within walking distance. There is a giant open grassy field, tennis courts, basketball courts, a volleyball court, and a huge playground with a bunch of slides and swings. In middle school for a brief time, I played tennis here. There are many flowers and dandelions all around that have blossomed since the start of the spring season. They're a great addition to the park and are well maintained. There is plenty of lot and street parking all around. Lots of people bring their dogs here as well. I've also seen Little League baseball and soccer games take place here.

I've been to Paseo Verde Park a few times in the last year. The large, grassy field is perfect for letting my toddler run free. The park has a playground, bathrooms, a basketball court, a baseball field, covered picnic tables, and plenty of open, grassy area. The parking lot at the back of the park has plenty of parking. The best part of this park is the large, covered playground. The tarp allows some sun in, but it has some of the best coverage of any playground in the area. The playground has several slides, swings (two baby, two regular), a couple of climbing features, and plenty of room to run inside. The only thing to watch is the steepest slide ever on the side facing the playground. The large, open, grassy field is in front by the baseball field. There are some trees at the edge that offer shade, but most of it is exposed to the sun. I like to cover my daughter in sunscreen and let her run all the wiggles out. This is a great, well maintained neighborhood park for adults and kids.

The Paseo Verde Park is a picturesque park in the Green Valley Ranch masterplanned community of Henderson. It is a sister park to the nearly identical landscaped Discovery Park. Using the anology that Paseo Verde Parkway is a dumbell the Discovery Park is the left (west) weight and Paseo Verde Park is the right (east) weight. In its role as a neighborhood park, it provides the community with several amenities within its horseshoe shaped borders (just like Discovery Park). The amenities include baseball fields, basketball, tennis, playground, volleyball, picnic tables, and open golf course green spaces interspersed with groves of mature trees. In its underrated role as a borderline local and regional park, it provides the larger community with hiking. It is contiguous to both the Amargosa Trail (connects Eastern Avenue to the Mission Hills Drive entrance to the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area) and Paseo Verde Trail (connects Valle Verde Drive to St Rose Parkway and St. Rose Parkway Trail). The multiplexed trails form the northern border of the eight acre City of Henderson park. Since moving here in 2005, I have visited the Paseo Verde Park. It predates several of the trails and parks that have sprouted up from the Mojave Desert. As my time in Henderson and the parks grew, so did the trees. Throughout the year, the mature trees with the plants provide visual candy to the park. In the summertime, the trees create an eco cool island. Last summer the trees along the contiguous Amargosa /Paseo Verde Trail gave off so much shade to the degree that it seemed like it set off the Green embellished lamppost. In the grueling months of summer when I don't have the wherewithal to drive to Mount Charleston, this is a go to spot. A few months later, in the Fall, the trees show off the Autumn colors. With the adjacent trail system this is a four star spot to take in the Fall colors. During the Fall months, the fallen leaves decorate the golf course green grass. A few months into the new year, colorful flowers bloom throughout the park. Throughout the year, Black Mountain-South towers above in the background. Throughout the years and as recent as a few weeks ago, I have stopped here on my Green Valley Ranch hike. This is a round-trip hike between The District and Smith's-anchored shopping center at Paseo Verde and Valle Verde. With the Amargosa Trail, Paseo Verde Trail, and neighborhood trails and parks; it is a hike where I exchange a couple of hours with urban nature. This is a hike that dates back to late 2011 when I reviewed the Paseo Verde Trail. With the China Go Go across the street being take-out only during Covid-19 , I brought it here for a couple picnics at the tables bordering the playground. The Paseo Verde pigeons have shared these experiences. They are the park bird and seem to be well behaved. Regardless they have left their marks on the tables which requires a protective cover on the table. These often mistakingly maligned birds have been a ray of sunshine during these dark times. To me, these birds are a connection to nature. Pigeons and the supporting birds are not the only ones besides people who love the park. So do dogs. I often see pet parents bonding with their fur babies on the open green space. Although there is a want for a dog park there are dog waste bag stations. Paseo Verde Park is immaculately clean. On my Park State-of-Condition Report Card, I give it an "A." My demerits are for the omnipresent City of Henderson parks restroom graffiti and the graffiti that has sprung up on the Covid-19 closed basketball hoops. As far as Safety, I also give it an "A." It is incorporated in an upscale neighborhood that is safe. The well kept houses along the landscaped drive bordering the horseshoe shaped periphery add to the sense of security. Just like the attractive mature trees that have laid their roots in the lush soil, so has yours truly. I have so much roots imbedded in the Park since 2005 that I consider the Paseo Verde Park as much of a community institution as I do a park. In reality this park amungst many connects me to the City of Henderson, hiking, and urban nature. It is a community institution that I will return to again and again.

Love this park one of my favorites to visit with our four legged-fur baby. It always has pleasant vibe and it's peaceful, clean, and relaxing. There are times when there are activities for young ones like foot ball practices, baseball games, basketball games and yoga sessions for adults and even baby drum with Mommy sessions. The people who frequent this place are mostly friendly, they always say "Hello" or "Good morning" when you pass them. There are also a lot of people who exercise by running or brisk walking. This place has a lot of trees and it helps when exercising. The trails are a mixture of up hill and down hill pavements which also help when one is biking and training for marathons or just simply a personal challenge to overcome. During the summer time, this place is cooler and provides a lot of shade for picnics and barbecues and it also boasts of picnic tables and barbecue pits. It has good sized playground for little children and the bathrooms are well kept, very clean. I hope to see all of you at this park soon!

There needs to be better time managment when closing the library down as I don't normally go there as often as I would like but don't close down 15 min prior to closing. Work it to where others can at least get the last few min of time usage on the computer. Very sad!
