Papas & Burgers

I went to a show in the desert In Sandy Valley, California just over the border from Sandy Valley, Nevada. There were four food trucks and two wine vendors for this event.After looking at the menus at the trucks, I went back to the first one I saw, Papas & Burgers, to order my dinner for the evening. I ordered what is named Charly's Hamburgesa and I ordered the meal. The hamburgers are advertised as al carbon meaning they're cooked over coal, in this case, charcoal. The family meal gives you the hamburg which is topped with ham, cheese, pink sauce (salsa rosa), lettuce, and tomato. There is a side of pickled carrots and jalapeños, and an order of frees. You also get your choice of a beverage. I took bottled water.I was told it would take a few minutes and I strolled the grounds watching some of the atmosphere artists walking about. In just a few minutes, the woman with whom I placed my order came to the side of the trialer and handed me my box with the burger, carrots/jalapeños, and fries. Since this was a well planned event, there were many wooden tables with benches et up and I was able to sit at one of them and eat normally instead of balancing the food and eating standing up or in my car.The burger was very good. The lettuce was shredded and this is where the pink sauce was. The pickled carrots/jalapeños had a great kick. The fries were equally as tasty. It was a very pleasant meal. It was quite a different food truck experience for me having dinner in the desert watching the sun go down as I enjoyed my burger.I suspect that I'll track Papas & Burgers down when they're in Las Vegas rather than 50 miles away for a special event.

Simply delicious. Regretful I didn't get a photo before I gobbled my burger down because it was beautiful. Just a warning, when they say spicy, they mean SPICY. Can't wait to get some more food!

Thoroughly enjoyed the burger. Old school. Loved it. Sat at the nearby bar as this food truck is right outside and had a great lunch with a michellada beer flight. Must try.
