Papa Joe's Steak and Soul

My apartment community held a Juneteenth pool party with Papa Joe's catering the event. Chicken, Catfish, Mac'nCheese. Green beans, etc. The highlight was the Catfish. Cornbread fried, not greasy, and flavorful!Brandy and her husband run this down homemade business. They will be moving to a new location on Spring Valley in a few weeks.

I ordered via postmates and the food was still hot when it arrived. I got the catfish nuggets because I didn't see a cat fish platter which was strange. Overall, the food was great! My only suggestion would be to cut back on the salt! I'm not sure if it's salt or msg but cut back please. There are people with sensitive palettes and they will taste it. As an elite foodie I can taste almost every seasoning in a meal. The kool aid was ok but I never drank it growing up so I don't have anything to compare it too beside homemade ice tea. The greens are smokey but not spicy so I added my own seasoning which was nice. The Mac & cheese is very milky and salty they over seasoned. The orange sauce for the catfish is tad spicy reminds me of San Jose's orange sauce for mission burritos. I love the sauce. The corn bread is good old fashion corn bread. I defintely want to try this place again.

Horrible! Nobody answers the phone called multiple times! Doesn't even deserve 1 star

Food was GREAT and there was a lot of it, we ordered catfish nuggets and the haddock filet. Set up is more geared toward takeout although there was a very small area with 2 high tops so don't bring too large of a party! You order your food at a kiosk and wait for it to be prepared or call ahead so your order can be ready when you get there. My only suggestion for Papa Joe's Steak and Soul is that you put the name of your business on the 2 selections that belong to you so your customers can find you. Prices were extremely reasonable--I highly recommend Papa Joe's Steak and Soul!!!

This place is terrible I got food from here one time which it was good but I almost wish I never went. They are never open, they never answer the phone, and the website doesn't work. I tried emailing them they never got back to me. I don't know how this place is still in business.

omg I ordered from here and it was like I had a Thanksgiving meal delivered to me it was so freaking good I still can't get over it. First bite I took was green beans and they were heaven. I tasted honey in the cornbread, the chicken is a little sweet with the smallest hint of spice, the Mac and cheese just came out of the oven

Amazing food! I would recommend anyone in the area to try this out...I've went back twice!
