O'Aces Bar & Grill

Took our large party last minute and made a great event of it. Utilized the meeting room and service was great. Food was top notch, especially for a fun bar.

Service from Bunny! The main reason for this review! She hustled from table to table with a smile! This is your typical dive bar that caters to locals, has a few video poker machines, plenty of monitors to watch a game or two from every angle, AND serves decent breakfast plate at pretty good prices. The breakfast menu ranges from about $8.99 to $14.99, which to me is average these days. Once I saw the Country Fried Steak and Eggs with Home Fries on the menu, I had to try it. It was a big plate I'd say, but the crispy fried steak was drenched in gravy which masked a lot of it. Just wish the steak was a bit softer versus crunchy. Next time, I'll likely try something else as there's a lot listed on the menu. Even noticed their omelets being a good size coming out of the kitchen. Also listed, I noticed they have pizzas, burgers, pastas, sandwiches, chili cheese fries, and chicken wings to choose from. I mean what more can you ask for? As for the dining/bar/gaming area itself, it all appeared fairly clean. When I walked in, I was pretty shocked by it tbh. I had imagined a sleezy downtown smoky bar, but it wasn't. And after getting seated, our server Bunny was doing practically everything. She went from table to table, taking orders, serving dishes, refilling coffee cups, wiping down tables, etc etc. And she seemed positive about doing all these things too! She deserves a raise, and all the credit for this review. Will definitely come back to try something else, thanks to her!

How is it legal to have smoking in a bar when the says otherwise and then you can not even smoke a cigar but cigarettes are ok. Sounds like BS to me. So if you can smoke then I will cough and sneeze and cover my mouth. However the food is great and the service.

This was a fantastic find! The menu is huge!!!! The atmosphere is great! The music that was playing was fabulous! (They do have a digital jukebox so I don't know if someone requested the great songs or if those were just in rotation). Or server was great. He was very helpful. We couldn't decide what to get so he gave suggestions. And the breakfast liked amazing as well so we decided to come back the next day for breakfast. (And we did!). We both got salads but different ones. And they were large ands delicious.

Well this is a bar that time forgot but not in a good way.I read the reviews & most of them was good so me & my friends went.The first thing I noticed was all the smoke,lots & lots of smoke.For me I perfer no smoke if possible.There was a dining area(not a separate closed room)that was supposedly smoke free but you could still smell & feel the smoke.I already sat down and hungry so I went with it big mistake.The waitress we had seemed like she was trap there & been stuck there her whole life.I know that feeling but at least for now try to be nice.She had a very bad attitude,we all felt so uncomfortable & unwelcome.So we just paid for our drinks & left.There are many other bars with food that can treat us much better.

This is my number one place to have dinner. You can find me here most days. Aside from exceptional food and a wide variety of food, the outstanding service keeps me coming back. Anthony and Blaine always take great care of us. They both are quick to go above and beyond to always make our experience great and memorable. Honestly, if the food was trash, which it thankfully isn't, I would still come here because of these two.

Showed up on a Tuesday afternoon; the food was marvelous ‼Chicken tortilla soup was meaty, filling, crunchy with just the right spice. Chile relleno, stufffed with chicken, served with homemade green salsa. Carnitas tacos very filling. And John keep our drinks filled too

July 11, 2022 - Lunchtime, where is good to eat on the West Side. O'Aces has good food and I have never been there. A little upgraded than other bar and grills. I loved the black door, it reminded me of a secret door. Your eyes just have to adjust from the bright sunlight outside. Relaxing and comfortable and love the Country Music. Booths, Tables or the Bar. Pictures of old casino's that are no longer here.Food, that's what we came here for. Mystery Arm was craving Pepperoni Pizza, usually he gets a Patty Melt. It looked so good that I had to have a piece. The sauce was good and that makes a huge difference. I wanted a tossed salad with Blue Cheese, it was refreshing. I was between a French Dip and Reuben, well best way to choose, ask the waitress what she likes better. Thank you for the recommendation. Reuben was better with a toss salad. Bottom line, lunch was delicious.Our waitress was wonderful and courteous and friendly. I like being treated like a friend than a stranger. And the young man, bussing the table, he did a great job making sure dirty dishes were cleared and drinks filled. These things make me smile and my meal taste better. We are headed back to the tattoo shop where my son is at getting tatted, he will be hungry so half a sandwich and a slice of pizza will satisfy him.As always head on down (21 and older only), with good company and good food and I guarantee you a good time!

Went today @ 4 pm, excellent bus boy, horrible waitress on low vibration. Never again, table of 9 . So smile no greeting blah .... Horrible blah bland waitress low energy hates her fckn job. ps. And definitely No separate checks. She did notbwant to be there . We gave all our tips to the great Mexican bus boy. Get rid of her pleaseeee

Food is great. Bus boy is awesome and so friendly. Waitress (myranda) is very rude. Been coming here for lunch many many times. And do not want to come back because of her rudeness and bad attitude.
