Namsan Tonkatsu is located at Cheongdam Food Hall. You'll find them next to Curry-Ya.Inside has plenty of seating with awesome music. Menu offers a nice selection of katsu, tteokbokki, side dishes, and kimbap. Prior to update, there were appetizing items that didn't sell much but was really good!Fried Seaweed Roll (5 pieces, $4.95) is yummy! It's deep-fried crunchy tempura seaweed roll stuffed with japchae noodles. Japchae Dumpling (5 pieces, $4.95) is also good! The pastry is stuffed with rice noodles and is nice and crispy, served with dumpling sauce.Fish Cake Tempura (15 pieces, $5.50) is tasty! It's a light snack with subtle crisp, mild and sweet spice, served with tartar sauce.Cream Rose Pasta ($12.95) is absolutely delicious! It's pasta noodles in creamy, yet slightly sweet and flavorful tomato cream sauce with kurobota sausage, savory bacon, Parmesan, and crispy shrimp tempura, served with garlic ponzu sauce, so yummy and superb!Service from Erica and Brianna is welcoming, courteous, and cheerful!

Pretty great deal for what you get since the portions are humongous. I've had the tteokbokki in the past and I would've been satisfied at that but my bf has been craving about the the katsu solely because of how big it is (it's probably bigger than your face). I will say the meat is not tender since they have to flatten it so much to make it that size so it's not the greatest quality of food but it will fill you up. Especially that they give some veggie sides, salad, and some potato butter soup. We got our sauces on the side since I'm not a fan of soggy katsu and it was perfection. Spicy king katsu: 9/10 the sauce was definitely spicy and a bit tangy. Not the classic tteokbokki sauce but still a good kick to itRose king katsu: 9/10 the sauce was creamy and slightly more on the sweeter side. If I were to eat only this I think I would get sick of it because of how creamy it was. But alternating with the sauce from the spicy king katsu was a great palate cleanser

We visited Namsan Tonkatsu at the Cheongdam Food Hall on a Tuesday night around 7:30 PM. It wasn't crowded, making it easy to order and find a spot after ordering at the storefront. The food hall has quite a bit of seating, but it looks like it could fill up during peak hours. The staff brought our food out quickly. We ordered the Mini Kimbap, Namsan Tteokbokki, and Japchae Dumpling (5 pcs). The kimbap was my favorite, and I'd definitely order it again. The tteokbokki was flavorful, and we got level one spice. It was fine for me but still a little spicy for one of the people we were with.

I ordered my food and unfortunately was told after I paid they were out of pasta for the rose cream pasta. What I would have expected was something like hey it's our fault that we are out of the pasta so we can give you something else as an apology for the same price you already paid. Nah. They had me go up to do the refund and then pay full for the dish. Ok fine.I was out with friends during this meal and everyone was already finished with their food by the time I received it.Unfortunately the food wasn't worth the wait. The rose tteokbokgi was very watered down and the kimbap was so oily I couldn't finish it.I would highly recommend the rose tteokbokgi at a place like pelicana where it tastes much better.Won't recommend and 100% will not be back.

Namsan Tontaksu had on radar cause it in the same food court as curry-ya and smile Shota. I looked over the menu besides Japanese curry the udon noodle dishes stood out for me.My first visit asked lady explain menu cause little confusing I think and ask her recommendations. She was awesome and definitely five stars service. She told me most popular dish was the Rose tteokbokki. Later realize very traditional dish. I never heard of it. I was excited to try something new. Amazing. The portion is huge in nice size bowl. Hearty. OMG. The udon noodles are beautiful. It shaped like penne pasta. Fish balls, Asian sausage (think Chinese sausage), and hard boil egg. Carrots and lot going on. The sauce nice spicy (they have different levels went with mild) and almost creamy tomato sauce. Depth of the sauce not typical tomato sauce. Truly hearty get bottom of bowl little piece of everything in it. If want some rose tteokbokki. Namsan Tonkatsu is solid.

Namsan Tonkatsu is one of the newest restaurant locations to open up in Cheongdom Food Hall. It's been about 7 months since I last visited Cheongdom and it has a variety of new restaurants.Namsan Tonkatsu is a Korean restaurant that offers a variety of Tteokbokki, Katsu, noodles and Kimbap. My husband and I ended up splitting a King Combo which included Pork Katsu, Cold Spicy Noodle, Soup, Kkoma Gimbap, and Shrimp Tempura for $18.95. After placing the order at the register, we took our order number and found a table for 8 inside Cheongdom Food Hall. We waited about 15 minutes for the order to arrive at our table. The Pork Katsu was good! We had to ask for a knife though in order to cut the pork katsu. The breading was perfect! It was a thin layer of fried breading on the pork. There was so much gravy on top of the Pork Katsu! It was delicious! The gravy was sweet! The cold spicy noodle was good too. It tasted like a spicy Japchae! The Kkoma Gimbap and the Shrimp Tempura was scrumptious! If we stop by Namsan Tonkatsu again, we'll have to try out their Tteokbokki!

Very solid 3 1/2 stars! We've visited the Cheongdam Food Hall several times now but have rarely tried any other restaurant in there besides sushi and the to-go options. Wifey & I wanted something different on this visit, so we ended up at Namsan Tonkatsu!First time trying, so we went big...literally! Both of us went all in and we ordered the KING COMBO!The King Combo looks the the biggest bang for your buck at $18.95 per order. For those hungry eaters! Comes with:-Pork Katsu-Rice/Soup/Salad/Peppers-Pineapple slices-Korean Gravy & Cream Soup-3 sides! Mini Kimbap, Shrimp Tempura, Cold NoodleThese King Combos come out on some king-sized plates! Didn't take long for our order to come out, around 15 minutes. Upon 1st glance, we noticed that our pork katsu didn't come with the cheese topping like on their menu pics! Wasn't sure if they forgot the cheese, or if we had to pay extra for that option. It was too late for us to ask though, we were hungry!Pork katsu and shrimp tempura were fried well, not oily, but just a tad on the cold side. I like my fried foods near hot! The Korean gravy paired well with the pork katsu although it is on the slightly sweet side. This is where the cheese would have played well on the palette to add some richness! Peppers are like the kind you'd find at In-N-Out, and are good to cut the fried items with. I liked the super simple salad of shredded cabbage & their house dressing, wish the portion was larger though. I like cabbage with my katsu! The mini kimbaps though were fresh, very tasty. Wanted more than 4 pieces! The pineapple slices were a bit basic, totally from the can. The cream soup was somewhat bland but when you paired it with some pork katsu and the Korean gravy, it added another layer of subtle flavor. The cold noodle side was great with the additional radish banchan, was almost like a mini bibimbap but with noodles!Overall, the King Combo was a decent value at the price point. I think it would have been nice though if we had the cheese topping with the pork katsu! It was a good meal and we both barely finished it all. It did satiate the hunger!Have to come back to Namsan Tonkatsu to try more on their menu, especially their popular Rosé Tteokbokki!

First time at Cheongdam food hall and was not aware that Namsan Tonkatsu is one of their food stalls. Nice and bright and clean! There's a prepared food and ramen station for those who just want to pick up food and have a quick snack. The cook it yourself ramen - several choices - probably takes less than 5 minutes. I went straight to Namsan and ordered the Rose King tonkatsu which came with 2 scoops of rice, shredded cabbage, cream soup and 2 banchan of pickled and kimchi radish. Huge portion! It's a shame I was not impressed. I had better tonkatsu elsewhere. Had a third of the dish and boxed the rest. Somebody else will probably appreciate it. I appreciate the water station at the back of the hall though. Crisp clean water and nugget ice! Will be back and might give the other menu items a try.
