Mr Popo Potato

Dont even look for this place. Erase it from your mind. The fries here are legitimately DRENCHED in seasoning. It's inedible unless you're starving like we were. Not to mention you have to go into a whole seperate resturant (that is completely unrelated) just to order??? There was no actual Mr Popo's? I made the mistake of eating Mr Popo's a few days ago and I will never make it again.

Mr. Popo Potato is my favorite place to go for a quick snack! I love getting large regular fries with BBQ and Sour Cream powder. If you're ever nearby, it's on the second floor behind the elevator. Tida was a wonderful employee and made the food just to my liking. Will always come back!

I gotta say, this is better than potato corner at the mall! Not as much flavors, but their garlic parm seasoning was PERFECT. It wasn't too salty, but it did make us very thirsty. Our order included just the medium garlic Parmesan criss cut fries. I do have one complaint that completely turned off my boyfriend and I... ketchup and any other sauce is $0.60 each. For a French fry business, I'm SHOCKED that they charge for sauce... not even a single ketchup packet is included with an order of fries! And this is a big order of fries. Like are you going to charge me for napkins too? Or a fork since that's not really needed for fries? I'll try to bring my own ketchup from Cruncheeze or BBQ chicken downstairs next time. Just that itself upset me.Anyways, there's two tables inside, but most of the seating was outside on the patio. That was nice.

So I've seen the sign for a while of this cool "flavored fries" place opening and was excited to be in the area today and spot the Grand Opening sign. I love fries. Actually, I love potatoes. Boil em, mash em... You know the drill.This place is located on the second level (approximately above 85 Degrees Bakery). You can order your fries/potatoes in a variety of ways including criss-cross (waffle), curly, straight, and also puffs (tots). You also pick your seasoning. They make it all fresh. We opted for waffle fries seasoned with garlic parmesan. These fries were amazing! Perfect crunch and perfect dusting of seasoning.Enjoyed them a lot! I look forward to trying more.

Probably the two best things that grow from the ground are potatoes and marijuana, and I happened to be out of potatoes. So I went to Mr. Popo's to get a variety of spuds, but left with just one after learning they're all frozen. I figured they'd be freshly sliced, since that's about all they sell there. But the waffle, crinkle cut, puffs, and curly fries all go from freezer bag to fryer, then seasoned with about five choices. I tried the Twister fries with garlic parmesan and found them mediocre. They also sell chicken tenders which I assume are from frozen as well, judging by the picture. The place is small, about the size of an efficiency apartment, with very few spots inside to sit so it's mostly takeout. Counter girl was friendly but failed to remove her gloves when getting change from the register and then disappearing into the back to make my food. I'm confused by their website saying 'our ingredients are locally sourced to serve you with the freshest fries'. Locally sourced and fresh? The little that they sell - potatoes, chicken, and sauces - don't seem to be local, but what do I know? Maybe by fresh they mean it's freshly fried on the spot, but if so, these are still far from being fresh potatoes. Mr. Popo is on the second floor at Shanghai Plaza that you reach by going though a glass door, then up an elevator. You have to look around for it because the signage is almost non-existent. I won't recommend this place because it just isn't quality enough to go out of your way for. Gotta say though, I do like their logo...Mr. Popo has this big goofy grin, wild eyes, and definitely looks baked.

Was so excited to try this place being a Potato Corner lover! My coworkers & I decided to stop by yesterday for lunch & upon entering, the tables & chairs were put up & lights were off. Someone in the back greeted us & then an employee came out & said the owner was not in & that he thought he had locked the door. He then let us know he cannot take our order unless we want to wait 30 minutes for the owner to come in. We ended up going downstairs to Weera Thai & had an amazing lunch. I'm sure Mr. Popo Potato is good, but after yesterday's experience, will not be back to find out.

The fries and puffs were both very crispy and full of flavor! The garlic Parmesan flavor was very cheesy and different from other garlic Parmesan flavoring I've had before but in the best way! The guy who helped up sat night sep 17th was very kind, quick, helpful and efficient! We were in and out of there in 15 mins with some delicious fresh fries. 10/10 definitely try this place out!!

Im a huge Potato corner lover....so when i saw this place i had to try it!!! I was not disappointed! Fries were awesome.....i got a medium chili bbq and a large half and half. Sour cream and onion and garlic parm! Chefs kiss!!! And not to mention excellent customer service!!!! Definitely will be coming back!!! I ate my fries so fast i didnt take a pic. Lol

The fries were very crispy and tasted delicious! While service wasn't immediate, the workers were very polite. The tables were outside so you could enjoy the air while eating the fries. Overall, the fries are definitely worth coming for for a quick bite! I highly recommend the garlic parmesan criss-cut fries/waffle fries, they were definitely crispier than the regular french fries. 9/10
