If you're near the Tesla Superchargers and craving a classic diner experience, this place is a must-visit! Just a short walk from the chargers, I popped in at lunchtime and immediately felt welcomed. The staff were so friendly and offered great recommendations. I went with the Diablo Fire Burger, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. I paired it with fries and a root beer, though the waitress suggested a root beer float--unfortunately, I was driving and didn't want to risk it spilling in my car!The atmosphere is pure 50's diner, and it's a fun trip back in time. The decor really takes you there, and there are some cool vintage cars around to check out as well. The location is also close to a few tourist spots, so it's perfect for a pit stop while exploring. If you're in the area, be sure to swing by for a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

When you hit the only stretch of Route 66 on your trip first thing in the morning, what do you do? You find a 50s style diner and scratch that itch with a large breakfast!I found myself in Kingman Arizona first thing in the morning, and so I couldn't resist checking out the only couple miles of Route 66 I encountered in my entire 2,700 mile journey. And as it happened, my appetite found Mr. D'z, a charming 50's style diner with all the authenticity and touristy charm you would expect from photos of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, classic cars outdoor, and music by the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley himself. The waitress was friendly and accommodating, and offered the breakfast special, which after a night of sleeping in the car, who was I to disagree? Sounded perfect to me. So a few moments later, I was presented with a giant platter of breakfast, which features French Toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and two eggs (cooked perfectly over medium as requested). Everything was filling and absolutely delicious, and I left full. This diner was a quintessential part of my ever so brief Route 66 experience, so if you're in Kingman Arizona, and in need of a great meal, this place will not disappoint.

I can't believe I never wrote my experience about this restaurant. It is a loaded 50s diner. The menu looked like a vinyl record. They have 50s everything in there, music, decor, and history. I don't know if it's mainly locals that eat there, but my husband and I were visiting my brother from California and wanted to eat breakfast the next morning. A lot of the customers were staring at us. I asked my husband if he noticed that, too, and he said yes. Our waitress was nice. Our food was great, and they even have a little store you can buy souvenirs at. I think it's a wonderful restaurant on Route 66. Right across the street is the Route 66 arch, you can drive your car under and take an epic photo. The restaurant has a great view of the historic route.

Very cool spot in the old school historic Kingman. This place screams nostalgia. Built and used as a gas station cafe in the 30s I believe but turned into the diner its is today in 92 I think. Lots of cool cars, pictures has the old school diner feel of the 50s. IThe food itself was pretty good. We ordered breakfast food. Strawberry pancakes for my grandson, of course he loved em. Skillet bfast and bfast burrito for my son and daughter in law and finally the big breakfast for me. Eggs, sausage, bacon and biscuits and gravy. Everyone loved everything. I had lower expectations so this was a nice surprise. Well worth the stop. Historic downtown Kingman, surrounded by great little shops and a nice old school train park across the street . Good service, outdoor seating.

A dinner with nostalgic Americana roadtrip memorabilia but the food doesn't match the vibes. The place is pretty busy but not full yet the food took over 25 min to come out, and they are mediocre at best.

We were really excited to try this place out, but ended up disappointed. I asked our server her favorites, and I went with one of them: huevos rancheros. I didn't really care for it. Especially the hash browns, which I typically like at other places, were very bland (in all of our dishes). My kids shared the breakfast burrito, and THAT was actually good! And the price was good on it, too. :) My husband got the avocado eggs Benedict, but wished he had gotten the regular ham one.

I absolutely loved Mr D'z Diner. It was like something out of an old school movie. I loved the pink and turquoise colors of the place. It really brought out my girly energy. I had the breakfast special which was $9.25. It included 2 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and a hash brown. I got a glass of the homemade root beer which I must add was delicious! The service was exceptional. I loved the cooks. They were so nice, and kept smiling at me as I ate my food at the bar. Overall, I would recommend anyone stopping here on their Route 66 trip.

This wasn't our original lunch spot, but it turned out to be a fantastic surprise. The retro vibe fit perfectly with the charm of a Route 66 town. The menu featured classic diner fare with some creative modern twists, all executed wonderfully. The restaurant was spotless, the atmosphere lively, and the staff warm and attentive. The house-made root beer was a standout especially as root beer ice cream!

Stopped at this spot for lunch on the way to Grand Canyon. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and it's so close to all the iconic spots of route 66. We shared a pina colada special shake, cobb salad, mexican omelette, and blue and mushroom burger. We really liked the shake! It was HUGE and tasted so good! All the food were just so so. Nothing impressive. They were like typical brunch food that you could get anywhere. My burger was a bit dry and I did not enjoy it much.Service was great but the food came out pretty slow. But they were packed with customers so that was understandable.

Got that Route 66/50's vibe going on. What to order patty melt, any burger and the Cobb salad is good. But I'm not a fan of the ribs being as they're low cut spares ribs. Sauce on the is great but ribs not so much. The I keep on getting is very knowledgeable and is a regular Johnny on the spot with ice tea and their home made root beer!!!
