Super cool place with a ton of breakfast and lunch items on the menu.Split wing with bar enclosed and separated from restaurant. Bar area allows smoking but the restaurant does not. Service was great... great place to drink and watch football with plenty of TV's. Total local hangout.

The very best after church brunch place in the area! Glass partition separating the sports bar from the restaurant is perfect. The view is unparalleled by any other location!

First, it was difficult to find the entrance. I'd suggest some more signage for where the door is. Once inside, I thought my eyes would adjust to the darkness and they did somewhat but it's really dark inside. Service was good. I decided on the clam chowder soup (the day's special). However, it was lukewarm at best. Tasted ok but by the time I got to the bottom on my cup, it was cold, and I ate fast! However, my aunt ordered the American hamburger and said it was the worst tasting hamburger that she's ever had. At 95 yo, that's probably saying something. My cousin then tasted the hamburger and said the same thing. Needless to say the hamburger didn't get eaten. I did have a bite of my cousin's nachos and they were tasty. I hate to give this low of star rating on just one visit, so I encourage everyone to read the other reviews before eating here.

I only came here to snag a cocktail and watch football, so this is a short review (I'll try to come back and check out the food)Comfy oversized couches and chairs facing the fireplace and TV. Great spot to chill out and watch thw game. Service was excellent, and the drinks are a fair price (unlike on the strip where one gin and tonic would cost over 21$)Non-smoking seating is plentiful, there is outdoor seating and the bar is closed off for smokers and has gaming machines.

This food at this place has completely gone down hill. Undercooked, fried in old oil, and zero flavor. Will not be eating here again.

This place has outside seating so that we could bring our pups. And the staff spoiled them. Thank you. Food excellent- had the chicken avocado salad and hubs had the Turkey burger with sweet potato fries. We would definitely return. Staff super friendly towards us.

We chose here for Easter dinner. We got in--nobody to greet us but a sign that said seat yourself. Alright, fine. But I was a little concerned by the fact that the place was dead empty. Granted I know it's Easter but I'd expect restaurants to be somewhat busy. After about 5ish minutes we're greeted by our waitress. Did not see drinks listed anywhere on the menu. It'd be helpful to let people know what their options are.We ordered potato skins to start, and the tater tots/cheesy potatos. The tots never showed up. We got the potato skins cold. I think they were undercooked too. She took them back at least and got them replaced. They were better the second time. When she took our orders I told her as plain as day what I wanted. Fish tacos. "The fish and chips?" No...the fish tacos. I was aware fries were optional as a side, I asked for a side salad. More confusion. It didn't seem that complicated to me.Our meals came. Overall, they were good. My only complaint with the tacos is the sauce they loaded between the tortillas. It was so messy--and there was such an over abundance that I also could barely taste anything else in the tacos. As for the salad, I should have snapped a picture. The thing was drowning in dressing. Soggy croutons. Not my favorite ceaser salad--my boyfriend picked at it at least. Our waitress didn't check back on us for awhile and disappeared before I could ask for a water refill. The lady that I presumed to be the manager stopped by and refilled it for me.I gave it 3 stars. My grandparents have been here several times before. They know it's a good place. I do too--I've been here another time awhile back. The first half was just...lackadaisical. Food was meh this time. Pretty good--but not great. I hope they do better next time.

Slow wait staff. Rude head bartender who won't hesitate to treat you like dirt if you aren't one of his favored regulars. Mediocre food which takes forever to get. If you aren't gambling be prepared to have to wait a long time. If you aren't gambling enough be prepared to be booted off a machine. Possibly a racist establishment. Dirty with little pride in ownership in spite of the fact that it could be a really nice place with some effort.

The food is really good. The service is OK. The ambiance is ok as well. I'm not certain why it is never very crowded. Am I missing something? We've never had a bad meal and we've never had bad service. It's a pretty laid-back, small eating area, but a nice size bar, gaming area, sports TV room that allow smoking. No smoking in the restaurant part.

We're new to the area and have been asking for recommendations for places that have good food and drinks. Mountainside was highly recommended It's close to our new home which is a plus also. We headed there for a late lunch and saw a few cars, so we decided to give it a try. 1st, as has been mentioned before, we couldn't figure out where the front door was.... After we entered we had to figure out which room to go into - one had a lot of tables & booths, the other had a bar with more tables and booths. We went with the latter. 2nd issue we found was the entire bar has gaming machines. We've seen bars with a few machines but this was our first experience with every seat being for gambling folks. Our preference is usually to set at the bar so we asked the server - she advised they usually prefer gamers only at those seats. Ok, we took a 2nd row, high top seat and ordered 2 drinks and chips with artichoke dip. The chips and dip came out quickly but we noticed the server was a little hard to catch. There were 2 server/bartenders but 1 stayed behind the bar and took care of one or two patrons and the other worked the floor. Our server was very "one thing at a time" oriented. We ordered the fish & chips and a salad with chicken. The salad came out and was good - nothing wrong or outstanding. The fish & chips had an odd appearance - almost like a fish hot pocket. It was squared off and had little or no flavor. The "breading" started to separate with every forkful. Not the best I've ever had. 'Nuff said. Overall, we think Mountainside is more of a sports bar with gambling than a restaurant. And that's fine if that's what you're looking for but it doesn't work for us. It's a beautiful space with gorgeous views out the front windows. As far as a good time for non-gamers & non-sports fans, have a drink and remember - I mentioned the view. Cheers,L&J Henderson NV
