If you're looking for a breakfast spot that brings classic diner vibes with a little extra flair, Morning News is where it's at. The energy is dope, the service is on point, and the food? Fire!I went with the chicken and waffle, and they did their thing. Bone-in breast and drumstick, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, sitting on a fluffy Belgian waffle. The hot maple syrup with a little spice? That took it over the top. Only thing I'd tweak is the waffle I like mine a little crispier, but that's just me. 9/10 flavor was on point. The banana foster French toast was another banger. Thick-cut cinnamon bread, light and fluffy, with that rich banana foster sauce drizzled over it. Every bite was a win. 9/10 definitely worth ordering. Now, the cheese hash browns? These stole the show. Cheesy, crispy, and topped with chives just good ole comfort food at its best. 10/10, no debate. One thing that makes Morning News stand out is the creativity. They've got all kinds of flavors and toppings for waffles, French toast, and pancakes. This month's special? Cotton candy waffles wild, but I respect it.Between the good vibes, great service, and top-tier food, this spot is a must-hit. I'll definitely be back!

I took an 18 month hiatus from Yelping or really eating out for that matter, but I'M BACK!!!I made a decision going into 2025 that I was going to do my very best to ONLY eat at restaurants I'd never been to before so I started the year out strong by enjoying a delicious brunch at Morning News!I judge a lot of places by the water they serve and this spot outdid themselves--the water definitely comes from a quality filtered source!!! Didn't taste like I was licking a penny found at the bottom of Lake Mead. I also judge a place by their pancakes. These were fairly average--3 out of 3 stars! The real winner of the meal was the cornbeef hash--5 out of 5 for sure! The big chunks of meat were the right touch. If I had known each entree came with only one egg, I have ordered another for sure. I'm excited to come back, drink more coffee, order three new items and really give the place a thorough review. For now, they're definitely worthy in my book!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch.Service: 5/5There was a small wait when we got here. The host said it was about a 30 minute wait, but it turned out to be only about 15 minutes. We had a group of 7 so there was an automatic 20%. The service was great and the food came out all together but still pretty quick.Food: 5/5We ordered chilaquiles, poutine, Benedict, waffle sandwich, chicken fried steak, and French toast. Our favorites were the chilaquiles and the chicken fried steak. The flavors were great. We did not like the poutine and Benedict. They were a little too salty. They have a big menu and I would definitely come back to try their other options.Ambiance: 4/5This place is a great spot for brunch. It has a cute vibe. The only thing is their bathroom is right next to the end tables. It's a little off putting to have our food tables right next to the bathrooms. Note: they offer 15% off to educators, health care workers, first responders, and military.

Perfect breakfast for fans of Herbs & Rye. Came in yesterday on a whim. My husband and I had just dropped off our car at an auto shop and decided to look up a breakfast spot nearby. We were in a neighborhood of Las Vegas we were not as familiar with and weren't sure where to go.. but then I saw on yelp that Morning News was around the corner. We absolutely love Herbs & Rye steakhouse (if you haven't been, it's a must!) and the same owners opened this restaurant about a year ago. I've been meaning to try it out...Our meals were fantastic. My husband had the Corned Beef Hash and loved it, I chose "The Farmer" -a classic breakfast, my eggs were cooked perfectly over-medium as ordered and the star of my plate was the "thick-cut bacon", delicious. Our children had the kids meals; large, filling portions for them. Our server was very attentive & kind and took the time to tell us at the end of our meal a little about how the owner's of Herb & Rye owned this restaurant, and that the building had once been an old dairy queen -- the most interesting fact, was that this establishment uses the same steaks as Herbs & Rye steakhouse; we instantly wished we'd ordered a steak & eggs breakfast -- will have to next time!!

This brunch spot has been pinned on my Yelp collection for some time. So excited to finally try it! Overall, it was a GREAT experience! Food was SO GOOD and portion sizes are shareable! My sister and I shared the Morning News Breakfast! It was $34 but it comes with everything: Steak, bacon, sausage links, sausage patties, eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes! It has a great mix of sweet and savory. Honestly, this could be shared with 3 people because we had plenty leftover. If you like strong coffee I highly recommend their drip coffee! The ambience was cute and clean! Service was great as well! I definitely will come back to try something different!

Came here on a Saturday for a to go order and waited 10-15 minutes for it. We ordered the Shelly Yoko which came with curly fries. I'm not a bagel person due to how tough it can get but this bagel was one of the softest I have ever eaten. On top of that, the eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection. It was quite juicy to the point where it did make a mess but that's okay, it was worth it. I would recommend eating this as soon as possible because of how soggy the bottom portion can get. As for the curly potatoes, it had a mild flavor to it and didn't need any additional sauces like ketchup. Other than that, I would be back and the other items on the menu. Cashier was nice and answered any questions I had. Water was also provided even when it was a to go order. Prices were reasonable considering how it was a big portion. Parking was also easy since they have their own parking lot.

My party and I decided to check this place out since we saw it was a sister restaurant of Herbs&Rye. The place was bustling and lively, and the service was pretty standard. We were starving going in, and even then, the food was just alright. The cheesy hash browns were a no go, the cheese had a powdery texture. The corned beef hash was mostly potatoes. The steak was slightly undercooked from medium rare so it was almost rare. The burrito was ok, and the salsa that came with it tasted like tomato juice. It was overall kind of disappointing, but a good experience.

Best Biscuits & Gravy. Hands down. My expectations were blown away. It came in a huge bowl... 2 large biscuits smothered in brown sausage gravy with 2 eggs sunny side up. Fresh biscuit. Rich gravy. The egg combined made for a great start to my day. Will have to come back and order it again, but with Country Gravy instead. Coffee wasn't bad either. Served old school in a small diner cup and the nice waiter comes around and fills it up. Nice signage and branding inside and out as well. if you're gonna call it Morning News...It'd be nice to have a newsstand next to the entry. I know newspapers are going by the wayside, but maybe some magazines and the latest Las Vegas Weekly.
