Came here for bottomless mimosas on margarita day! Pepino and spicy marg were delicious! Highly recommend you check it out. We got the hamachi, the aquachile, the Birria torta and the horchata cinnamon roll. All of it was extremely flavorful and delicious. The consume was light too not greasy. Service is great. The vibes in there were amazing as well

Mijo was a cool experience! I wasn't feeling it at first since it was outside the Strip (where I'm staying), but I'm glad I was encouraged to go. The waiter was amazing; we got unlimited mimosas, and he didn't even give me a chance to finish my drink before he poured me another glass. I loved it! The vibe and ambiance were great, with reggae music playing the whole time, which added to the atmosphere. We even got four cups of mimosas to go, haha! My only complaint is that the food didn't have the Mexican flavors I was hoping for. I ordered four tacos, which were good, but everything else needed more salt or some spice. Overall, I enjoyed my experience!

The Carne Asada was perfectly grilled, tender, and seasoned to perfection, but the star of the show was undeniably the Birria Short Rib. The flavors were rich, the meat was succulent, and it was hands down the highlight of our meal. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Mijo.On the cocktail front, we sampled the Mango Margarita and the Prickly Pear Margarita. Both were crafted with care, but the Prickly Pear Margarita stood out with its unique flavor profile, making it our favorite of the night.Dessert was a must, and we opted for the Churro Sampler. This delightful array included strawberry, chocolate, and caramel-filled churros, each served with a corresponding dipping sauce. Located inside Durango casino. We had reservations for 6pm and were seated promptly. There were 6 people in our party (all females with purses) and we were seated in a semi-circular booth, hence, we were cramped. The place was booked and there was no other table available unless we waited. Everything we ordered was delicious - the guacamole was very good and the charred octopus and carne asada fajitas were amazing !The DIABLO SKULL EN FUEGO dessert is a must. Ambiance - modern, a bit dim. There are 2 gender neutral restrooms inside the restaurant (more outside in the casino). It was packed and a bit loud. Service - no issue but nothing extraordinary either. Our server did not check on us regularly and a bit difficult to find one (not sure if it was just because it was busy that night)Price is reasonable since it is located inside a casino. They take reservations which is always a plus. This place has a speakeasy - be sure to check it out. I will definitely be returning to this place.

Mijo Modern Mexican restaurant is located inside the newest casino off strip, Durango. It's part of Clique Hospitality which has many known establishments in Las Vegas and San Diego such as Oxford Social Club, Lionfish, Temaki, Proper Eats just to name a few. No wonder why we fell in love with Mijo's!It was like entering a dark lush green forrest. You walk through the hall way and immediately see the speakeasy that's attached, Wax Rabbit. Keep walking and you approach a circular bar in the center. Has a dark ambiance.I only wanted two items, the Octopus and steak. It was too late in the night to order porterhouse or a tomahawk so we got Carne asada skirt steak. Both delicious. The octopus was perfectly charred with chickpeas, potatoes, and light sauce, slightly tender not chewy. The skirt steak was flavorful and paired well with chimichanga sauce.It came with complimentary chips and roasted salsa. Not our favorite salsa so we got a side of guacamole.We skipped out on drinks to save our belly for Wax Rabbit. We will have to come back next time to try their churro flight!

My family and I had a great experience at Mijo Modern Mexican. The food and ambiance was great and we enjoyed all of our dishes.

The food is amazing, but we mainly visit because of Belinda and Karina at the bar. Always awesome service with the best attitude, even if they are slammed. We now only eat at the bar for this reason!

Absolutely 5 stars. This place is amazing. The service and food were exceptional. Martha prepared some amazing and creative cocktails and Chef Buddha prepared an amazing octopus. We will most definitely be back.
