I really enjoyed my shopping excursion at Michael's. I had some Art Work to frame and decided to get some really nice ones. And..they were all on sale! What a great day! I love a good sale.I did have some questions about 2 of the frames, and the clerk at the frame desk wasn't interested in helping. If I had gotten the correct answer I probably wouldn't have bought the 2 frames that I did. There were no attached hangers on back( had to drill in yourself. DIY) I'm not a DIY girl. Could not return because of sale price. So had to hire a handyman to drill those attachable hangers to frame. I also bought a nice candle for $8. Located Downtown Summerlin next to Trader Joe's

I've been waiting for this store to open up because it took a while. We frequent Trader Joe's. The biggest and brightest Michaels store that I've been to, but it feels like a warehouse (very bright like Sephora stores). Michaels is competing with Joanns, Hobby Lobby, and Wal-mart, adding fabric- three aisles to be exact. I will be adding pics soon. You cannot see the rest of the aisles from the front, because something is blocking the way, it's too tall, not sure what you call it. So, we were just guessing where to go. So we headed to the left back side of the store, for beads. And to the middle, for the Gildan t-shirts, $2.99- on sale right now. I only had a few minutes to check out the jewelry-making aisles and the Gildan t-shirts for our upcoming tie-dye projects. I got a bag of a wood bead assortment and two t-shirts, one each for the loves.Self-checkout was easy enough to use, start with your telephone number, if you are a club member; there were four, but one was down. Oh yeah, there are cameras, so don't even think about sporting the five finger discount. The cashier at the double checkout desk was across from the self-checkout. Also, there was a "Pick-up" shelf section along the right side of the Wall, as you walk in.

6/4/24Was making a TJ run and saw sign that it was open. Bright and clean. It took over the Face Values and Buy Buy Baby spots (if I remember correctly). Smaller than some Michael's I've been to. Already some items on sale. Mostly self-checkout lanes and one serviced. Employees were friendly. This type of store was definitely needed in this area. Saves me a trip to Fort Apache for similar stuff.
