I knew of this place for some time to serve some Mexican fare and as a corner Ma and Pop store. It's sits on the Southeast corner of DI and Nellis Blvd.I slid through here a week or so ago to try out an item for breakfast in the early morning. I decided on doing a bacon breakfast burrito. I kindly asked the nice lady behind the counter to give me half the amount of potatoes in my burrito. I sensed a bit of a language barrier in relaying this info to her as she kept thinking I wanted MORE potatoes either in the burrito or on the side....which thinking about it, made sense since. Their potatoes are....actually, French fries. At the time, i didn't realize this and would find out later when I got home. Normally, I take pics of the items I buy to review but this one fell through the cracks. Unfortunately, I consumed maybe 2 bites of this breakfast burrito before trying to dissect all the French fries out (unsuccessfully, by the way) and ultimately the rest of the burrito making its way to the green container of death, the graveyard. Nothing I did made an improvement. I tried using a whole container of salsa verde and did absolutely nothing but completely absorb and still no flavor added....and that was AFTER I pulled the majority of the fries out....and there was a TON of them all mixed together in a coagulation of melted cheese with an egg or two and fleck pieces of bacon. Flavor profile was off, texture was weird. Definitely a "Negative, Ghostrider" for me on Maria's Market breakfast burrito.

One early morning, a friend brought me to this hole in the wall market on the East side. It's set inside a convenience store which is perfect because the market didn't open until 8am - We had 15 minutes to walk the store and buy some Mexican snacks and various meats on display. I went along for this because the sound of chilaquiles breakfast sounded bomb. For $5.99, if you wanted something else you could choose Chorizo & Eggs, Huevo Rancheros, or Ham & Eggs. Not to mention the ton of other things on menu. My friend got Mulita, which I'd never seen before - basically a toasted tortilla sandwich with meat, cheese, & guacamole. This place is great because of the quick access, and cheap prices. It's not necessarily the most flavorful but I still leave with the authentic Mexican experience and a full belly.

The cashier Giselle made an error with my order ( she forgot to make it) instead of apologizing she got rude and obscene. She engaged in an argument with me and proceeded to call me ignorant, the B word and threatened me to come outside and engage in a physical altercation. I desperately in anger and embarassment tried to complain to no avail to the store owner, until I came in a second time looking for a higher up. I was then kicked out for attempting to record the incident that included the cashier again berating me with foul language in front of her boss , Luis. I am seriously disappointed in this place as a whole for the way I was treated as I am a regular customer there. I buy food here at least twice a week. Very sad as nothing was ever done about it. She is still happily working care free.

I was Kicking it in the hood, and waiting for my nephew to finish up an Yugi-oh tournament in the same strip center where Maria's is located. This neighborhood looks spooky, but what the heck, so is the nicest place in Las Vegas at night; Also, you don't see too much people begging for money at intersections at Nellis and Desert Inn. Looking at Maria Market from the outside would be an afterthought for most people, me included, but my nephew insistent on getting a Chimichanga from this place, and I thought he was nuts, but he told me it was pretty good. So we jumped in the car, and drove to the other side of the parking lot, and entered the stand alone building in which Maria's is located. When you walk in, you have this feeling of a old school Mexican neighborhood market, There a few penny slot machine as you enter, and to the right of the door is old meat market that has has small deli area. i don't think they sell their meat, because there isn't any prices front of them, and cook is consistently going to the cooler display to get Carne Asada to fry. In the back of the store is a small Mexican vegetable section, and of course Beer cooler along the perimeter. What surprised me, the food was pretty food, and cheap. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the best Mexican food I ever had, but for the price and quality, it turned out to be a good deal. .99 cent for taco, and chimichanga for 4.00 it's not going to break the bank.

They give you good portions of delicious Mexican food and good prices. Only bad part is there are only 2 tables and they are in constant use and never seem to be clean.

This is nearby and have stopped in a couple times. They have the food grill and it looked good. Otherwise, your basic mom & pop place.

I'm always on the look for some authentic hole in the wall Mexican joint that constantly fails food inspections but that's OK because it's well worth it once you try their food. I am proud to say Maria's Market is one of those places. The display for $1.29 tacos reeled me in and let me tell you what! I have been hooked ever since. I'm usually not a big fan of tacos, but this place really hits it on the money. The meat in the tacos are well marinated and you can taste the spicy flavor especially on the chicken. Not a big menu selection and I don't know about anything on the menu because them tacos are on point you just can't beat the price and most importantly the taste. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Good people but that's not what makes a business. You need great service as well. You can ask for a certain food they have on the menu and they won't have it. I ordered a breakfast burrito that already comes with potato, eggs, and cheese plus whatever meat they offer for it. I take a bite of my burrito and I see that they put French fries in it! Legit French fries! They taste a day old and it's not a good combination to have in a burrito, it doesn't taste great. It comes with green salsa on the side. The salsa is good just too watery.
