Hands up for tone of the best customer service ever! I appreciate you guys for delivering an efficient and friendliest service to your patrons.Tried their Onolicious food at the Full Moon Market event happened in Kapolei residence inn. T'was a fun night at least and glad I found a food truck that caught my tummy's attention. So I let myself immerse with other people who are in line to order something.FOOD. Chicken BBQ - smoky and flavorful. Meat is tender & cook right. The sauce is seasoned right & literally the taste of the bbq flavor is there. Overall texture is appetizing.Spare Ribs - savory flavor but meat is a bit overcooked and dry. I care less on the potato salad as well. Both lunch plate has a bed of rice (which in my opinion ain't cook enough) and tossed salad (they should call it tossed spinach unless they put other fresh veggies in that way it can be call salad).Overall t'was a good dinner. Lunch plates can be shared with other person as portions are hefty. With the service they deliver & the food they serve, it's pretty good and will recommend you folkx to try their kines!Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yeeps!

I frequently attend the What the Truck event that is held at the Waikele Center parking where K Mart use to be at. I wanted to try something different and decided to try Mama's Island Flava a try this time. This time around, I came late to the event so when I went up to order, they did not have my first choice so the nice lady who helped me informed me that the only thing they had left was their bbq chicken and I thing a smothered pork dish. I decided to go with their bbq chicken and I am glad that whatever I wanted to order ran out because this bbq chicken plate was the bomb. It literally was high piled with cut up bbq chicken drizzled in bbq sauce. It was so much food that I was not able to eat the whole plate that night and had to save some for later and then some. The chicken was moist and had nice bbq charing. Would definitely get this plate again when I attend the next What the Truck. Highly recommend!

The pregnant lady behind the cash register was really inviting. Apart from the food, she was the reason I chose to purchase food from this vendor while at the Eat the Streets Kapolei event. The menu at the event was sufficient but, I am not sure if that is their regular full menu. We had the BBQ chicken and it was ahh-mazing! Seriously. The chicken had a well-smoked/bbq flavour and it came with a scoop of rice, green salad, and corn. It was well worth every bit of the $12.00 for a regular plate. I will be looking out for Mama's Island Flava at other popup events.

It's great to finally have a Samoan food truck here in Hawaii. The adage happy wife equals happy life is so true! My wife was so happy to finally get her TARO and BANANA fix while my favorites have definitely been the POTATO SALAD, PORK STEW and BBQ CHICKEN. It's great that they have combo plates like the PAPA'S SPECIAL (contsisting of fasi povi, bbq chicken, mulipipi, kalo, soisi, rice, and potato salad) when you have a hard time deciding what to get because this plate get almost a little bit of everything. The meat in the PORK STEW is nice and tender and was been great to eat with rice during these cold rainy weather that we been having.

if you love supporting a small business, food truck, and DELICIOUS samoan food? Mama's Island Flava is the one for you! AWESOME food quality. the pricing is very reasonable for how much they put on your plate, i could barely get my plate to close! lol, they're always up-to-date with their scheduling since they are a food truck. they travel to different locations, and the hospitality is so phenomenal, they feel like family to me. and honestly, they're so amazing that i wish i had known them when i had my wedding back then because guarantee i would have hired them as my caterer! :) you guys rock! keep it up! praying and hoping you guys will become a restaurant one day so everyone can sit down and enjoy your tasty meals :)

We tried this place out during the Food Str'eats event. We tried multiple places, but out of all the places we tried out that night. THIS, THIS PLACE WAS MY FAVORITE. This was actually my first time having poly/Samoan food and I am so happy that I tried it out. The sapasui was so ono, bursts with flavors and was definitely my favorite dish of that night. The palusami reminds me of a Filipino dish called Laing and I love it. You need to go and try their food!!!

By far the worse island food I ever had. The Palusami was watery, the turkey tail was okay, the sapasui was horrible, the rice was a bit hard, and for me just everything about their food served I wasn't happy with. Highly don't recommend coming here, it definitely was a disappointing experience. It even made me go to the bathroom right after not to mention I didn't even finish any of the plates I bought here. Plus I'm not to sure if it's just me but I don't know what's so Polynesian about a corn on the cob in their plates. I for sure would have appreciated maybe a piece of taro, breadfruit or some type of poly substitute for the corn. All in all someplace I wouldn't recommend to any of my friends and family. Try at your own risk.

Sadly I don't have photos. On the positive side, the food was inhaled because it was that good. Check out their Instagram page for their schedule. The ribs, bbq chicken, everything in that plate was good, I ordered 2 plates because I love Samoan food. Also was given a half moon pie (pineapple filling) and that buggah was good. All the food was a reminisce of sweet home and cried tears of joy (in my stomach and heart) for finally tasting food that reminded me of home. I've been stalking their Instagram page of where they would be next and Mililani had an event that I was finally able to go to and got my fix. Thank you again and loved it! Don't know about that Chad guy's review, he probably has a weak stomach, stick to what you can eat.Cash or card payments are accepted. Support local!
