Super authentic and full of flavor, Lucy is widely considered by the Ethiopian community of Vegas as one of the best in the city. (This comes from a local Ethiopian friend of mine.) My go-to order is the meat combo with kitfo raw, along with extra sides of shiro wot and salad. This is enough for 2-3 people. If 3-4, I like to add a tibs dish or some more kitfo. The goden tibs (beef rib tibs) are a particular favorite with spicy awaze on the side. Service here is always super friendly and quick and the ambiance is comfy and bright. Half of the restaurant has regular tables while the other half offers traditional mesob tables. My mouth is already watering thinking about the food!

I've been to Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant many times, and it's always a solid experience. I usually get the veggie platter to share with my group, and the flavors are always rich and satisfying. The variety of curries on top of the soft, tangy injera makes for a unique and delicious meal. If you're looking to try something different, this is a great place to start! The restaurant has a welcoming, authentic atmosphere, with a mix of traditional and modern seating. There's a bar, a traditional seating area, and a large dining room for those who prefer a standard table setting. It's also clear that Lucy is a favorite among the Ethiopian community, which adds to the authenticity.Service is generally good--the waitresses are friendly, though sometimes it can take a little while to get your food when it's busy. Something to note is that when you order water, they will give you water bottles which you have to pay for instead of tap water that is free. Overall, it's a great spot for Ethiopian food!

Our go-to place for great Ethiopian food in Las Vegas! The vibe is very low-key and understated, but The service is always friendly, and the food is delicious! The boyfriend & I love that there's always great African music & videos playing. We always find a new-to-us singer or band to explore.Pro tip: for a more traditional experience, ask to eat at a mesob - the basket-like dining table. It's small - but that encourages conversation and easy food/sharing.Tip 2: if you're a coffee aficionado, get the full coffee ritual. Trust me, it is EPIC!An absolute gem!

I love this place, and I want to give 5 stars, but my Doro Wot (drumstick chicken and a boiled egg) came with a very very small tiny drumstick. It was $19. I wish they put 2 small drumsticks instead of just one small piece... or please put one big drumstick. (: Tastes fantastic still.

I truly enjoyed this experience. I'm a big fan of Ethiopian food, especially having lived in Los Angeles which has a restaurant called Mercato that I love. The service was excellent and very attentive. The ambience was authentic. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was buried with deep spices and tantalizing flavors.

I'm all about food but when we dine in I'm all about the customer service too. The place definitely caters to its community. The food was delicious and would benefit with giving us more Enjera. We had them cook all the meat. We went with 1/2 of veggies and beef. They were out of lamb. Nice spacious dining area and wash stations outside of the restroom.

The service here is incredible, the music is very fun! The food was amazing, this was my first real Ethiopian experience. I would absolutely recommend, all of my friends and I had a great time. We were also able to stay late which was nice. The coffee is incredible! If it wasn't so late I would have had more. We were also given free popcorn that was made there. Very fun time.

Ohhh Lucy reminded me how very much I adore Ethiopian food! Why can't more of my family like this type of cuisine? I would probably push us to have it every week, if I could! Those sour and savory tastes just blend so well. And I never leave feeling guilty with the good gut-feeding deliciousness found in a veggie combo platter! My friend treated me and my oldest son to a meal here. It was beyond fantastic! Also, it was so fun to walk in and be greeted joyfully by the staff. They even showed us how Ethiopians traditionally roast coffee beans in a big ladle-like contraption! They also volunteered to bring all the food's spice level down so it was more palatable for my 6-year-old. That was absolutely wonderful, because I have the spice tolerance of a toddler too.My favorites included:1. Misor Wot: red lentil simmered with spice pepper, onion, garlic, ginger, and Ethiopian herbs2. Azifa: simmered green lentils with onion and garlic3. Kik Alicha: simmered yellow split peas with onion, garlic, peppers, and Ethiopian herbs4. Beef & Lentil SamosasAll their dishes are incredibly generously portioned. A combo platter alone can last 3-5 meals, even if you share with someone!Lucy's location is also not that far from the strip, so it's a good spot for Vegas visitors that want to try an Ethiopian bite that's ethnically authentic. And since its served family style, it's especially perfect for large groups!I'm going to be coming back soon for some pickup orders of their lentil dishes and bread/injera. SO GOOD!!!

Dining at Lucy's definitely qualifies as a unique experience, to say the least. Assuming you are not Ethiopian (as I am not), it may even seem a bit intimidating to dine there. A fun fact is about Vegas is that traditional taxicabs are often driven by Ethiopian men. They are very social with each other and are often found on the exterior patio, smoking, eating, and socializing in their native tongue. This can be rather intimidating. But fear not, simply walk past and enter the dining room. 90% of the time, the dining room is empty. The bar however is usually full. Ethiopian food, in the traditional sense does not use utensils. You pick up the meats, vegetables, eggs, and rice with injera, which is like a thicker tortilla that is more like a thin pancake. When I dine there with my kids, we usually get the Medium or large mixed plate, served family style. We often dine late, which is nice because they are open until 1am. The only major downside is the service although extremely friendly, can be a bit slow. Also, there is no free tap water. You can order no drink or bottled water. I usually get Mexican Coke in the glass bottle. Lucy's is easily the best Ethiopian restaurant in Vegas. For a unique ethnic experience I highly suggest checking them out.

What a nice gem! I was just driving around looking for a place to eat and then I found this spot. I love Ethiopian food and this restaurant was no exception. The food was perfectly spiced. The service was great. Felt like family owned establishment which I appreciate. The waiter was intentive on bringing me more Enjera's. Great work
